5007-2 Victory Blvd, Tabb“My family and I have been to different Krogers and by far our favorite is the Kroger at Yorktown. I understand that each person may have different experiences when they shop, even our experience varies per visit. However, the most consistently well maintained and stocked Kroger is Yorktown. The staff I have interacted with is also friendly, relative to other Kroger locations. Overall, the well stocked items and store layout are the main reasons why we choose Yorktown as much as possible.”
“I seriously felt like I was in their home. So nice and kind. I'll be honest, I have no idea what I ate. It was a full meal of chicken and rice, lentils, potatoes, and a Naan like flat bread. It was incredible! The owner apologized for it taking a long time (it didn't take long at all) because his wife was making it FRESH! Dude! Don't apologize for that! Seriously, it could have been in their house dining room being served homemade food from a kind couple. The food is awesome. EAT HERE!!!”
“My mom and I went to the Newport News location for the very first time. Although it was a holiday weekend and the store was very busy, everything was in order and easily accessible. Besides the free taste testing the customer service was top tier. Our cashier Lauren at store 0656 knew it was our first time and took such great care of us, with a SMILE. She made our experience wonderful, we look forward to more visits. Oh and they also have a great selection of food. We will be back. Thank you Lauren!”
“It's a charming market, the shopkeeper was friendly. Cool stuff, good snacks. I'm not the best cook, but they have great snacks too.My recommendation is a boba tea, and any of the sweets with red bean paste. Fun flavors you won't really find elsewhere. And hey, get to support a local market.”
“I absolutely love this place. i was greeted and helped anytime i needed something i couldn't find. love love love the food options. very nice and calm environment and i don't feel rushed or hovered over.”

1215-J George Washington Memorial Hwy, Yorktown“Definitely will be coming back! Today was my first time visiting Tokyo Market and I absolutely love the dinnerware collections and teapot sets; as well as the selection of food, drinks, & snacks - all with great prices!”
“I grew up in New York City eating Black Pudding, we called it Blood Pudding. Getting the blood pudding was almost impossible in Hampton Roads. There was a British shop on Witchduck Road but closed years ago. I finally found Best of British in Hampton. Owners Mike and Jackie are the nicest people as well as the other young lady who works there! I feel their prices are very reasonable, online the cost was more and you have to pay shipping, which for foods requiring freezer packs is very expensive! I buy the Winston Blood Pudding and it is always excellent, even my grandson is liking it. Their assortment of candies and cookies bring back my childhood memories of shopping at a British import store in Queens New York. Thanks Mike and Jackie!”

5210 George Washington Memorial Hwy, Grafton“I didn't go to my usual food lions in Newport News. They are always out of gas on the scooters and dirty. I took a drive to the one in grafton. Like day and night and extremely clean and shelves arranged neat and inviting. Made me purchase more than I planned. Even the cashier was pleasant and bagged my items with such care and neatness. Worth the longer drive”
“First time having authentic tacos!!! And I was blown away. The food is cooked right in front of you if you sit at the bar. Everything is made from scratch even down to the tortillas. The tamales!!!!! CHEFS KISS..ILL DEFINITELY BE RETURNING TO TRY OTHER DISHES.”
7AM - 11PM
2900-K Hampton Hwy, Yorktown“The best food lion I, I mean I've seen in this area, period. I'd say cleaner, more items, and food is fresher. it's the one mid town newport news. Down the street from Costco.”
“It's always clean in there floor always spotless. Shelves in order one of the best Food Lions in Newport news hands down . Love to take my time in the meats find a Gem for a great price”
“The commissary is competitive in alot of there items they carry unlike the exchange. Which are different places. Good for the local community and the troops that are stationed there. Very clean, shelves are stocked nice restrooms, nice place to buy groceries and for people who have disabilities can shop an hour before the store opens up.”
“I think it's is a very good place to visit I go there all the time the store is very nice and comfortable the people that work there are very polite and friendly”
“If you've been to Korea and are looking for some authentic Korean ingredients and snacks then this should be the place you go to. It's a small place inside but it has a lot of variety and fresh vegetables. Be careful when walking through the snack aisle; it's hard to resist not filling up your basket ?”
“First, I love Fresh Market. Today I got all the delicious deli treats I wanted...but the bakery no longer carries the amazing pumpkin cheesecake (my very favorite guilty pleasure)! Please bring it back to Newport News, Virginia store”
“It was my first visit. I was passing by from a doctor’s appointment. I live forty miles away. First thing I noticed was huge pumpkins for only $3.00. I was disappointed with the bakery area. That was the reason I stopped by. I wanted to buy a few pastries for my grandchildren. I wasn’t surprised though because in Crete, Greece I shopped at Lids and the bakery in the afternoon was empty from sweets. I was surprised how huge it was and organized. I walked around to find the section with European Goods. I noticed fresh produce. Reasonable prices. It’s one stop shop. Goods for every budget. Great variety. I loved to see European Goods. I found the European sweets. Chocolates for $1.00. Cookies for $1.00. I picked two of each. I went through the self checkout and had trouble with my card but a very pleasant employee noticed me so she came over and helped me. In other Stores if something is not going well I have to signal for help. Once in a while I do visit the area because I go to Costco but on my next shopping spree I will stop by Lids.”
“Will go to get meat every time. Bought goat head and some groceries. They are fresh. You can find various food items like pulses, pickles, powders, spices, parathas, rice, etc...”
“Love love love this location!!! Staff is always nice, they are hardly ever busy. when they are it's not that bad , The prices are amazing and I can always count on their items being stocked. 100/10”
“I shop at this Harris Teeter at least once a week, and it's overall fine. Store is clean and well stocked, safe for the area, and the fuel points are an excellent bonus. My biggest complaint is that this store relies way too much on self-checkout. It's a 50-50 chance whether or not they'll have a cashier manning a register no matter what time of the day it is. You're "more likely" to see them in the evening but that's not even a safe bet. You'd think that with the $600-800 alone that I spend a month in the store that they'd be able to staff at least one full time cashier, but it is what it is. Self-checkout is super helpful when you're buying milk, but when you see 5 customers buying full carts of groceries while several employees stand around then that's bad for optics.Ultimately, I prefer this store heavily over others in Hampton, but they need to get it together and quick before I explore other options.”
“After over 1 year in VA, we finally found this gem of a place. We are so grateful for this place because the alternative was DC. They have everything and I mean everything we need. Super clean store! Wonderful owner and staff. The respect and treatment we received was no short of brotherly love. Thank you for your kindness and the wonderful recommendation you made. We will see you again!”
“Nice to see how much the store has changed in the past few years. Sad to see ice cream go but it seems they have transitioned to a fishing and hunting store with everything you need. People complain about prices; however, it is a small family buisness so I understand.”

549 Bland Blvd, Newport News“Excellent supermarket, it has very low prices and so much so that I was surprised to fill the basket and get a lower price with very good quality in its products, the cashiers are very fast and practical... I went once and now it is my routine visit.”
“Food lion is my choice of grocery stores. The MVP card and the deals that are provided to members are often quite substantial. The staff is very helpful, friendly and always kind. They have a wonderful selection of typical grocery store items as well as lovely fresh baked goods and a great deli.”
8AM - 9PM
2000 W Mercury Blvd, Hampton“Lidl has the best paper towels. I only come to Lidl to purchase the paper towels, 6 big rolls in a pack for about $11.59 and if you have the app you can save $3.00, try it out, and they last for awhile for me, check it out”
“The only buffet I will eat from... the hot bar and salad bar is so good. And the staff are so nice and helpful... love this place no matter what city I visit, if there is a WFM ♥️ Im going to have lunch or dinner♥️”
7AM - 11PM
1164 Big Bethel Rd, Hampton“I was picking up a cake for my daughter’s birthday today and the person at the deli/bakery offered assistance. They told me they could write in the cake if needed and ask what the occasion was. They turned a cake that seemed plain into something amazing! I wish I would have caught their name to add this review but I was so grateful for their help! ( I added the Stitch characters)”
“Clean and well stocked Food Lion. Still a great place to shop with good customer service. Picked up a few grap and go Italian subs this time for $3.99, a great bargain and very delicious ?”
