“Can’t say enough good things about this place. Best cucumber kimchi I’ve ever had! I drive over an hour for the cucumber kimchi and always pick up a few extra goodies while I’m there. The gimbap at the register is always a good snack for the ride home.”

“One of the few stores in the state with incomparable customer service, the kindness of the workers and the way they serve make you feel comfortable, you don't wait and the best of all is that you find everything you need. In my personal opinion I give it 5 stars for the way they serve you. If you need a shipment or check collection or something in particular, this store will be your best option. If you ask about Patricia, she is one of the best employees, she will make you feel comfortable and, above all, in an atmosphere.”

“Akhtar is truly the greatest chef of all time. I’ve been coming to Kabul Supermarket for a long time, and his cooking is the main reason I keep coming back. Every dish he prepares is full of flavor, made with care, and always tastes like a special homemade meal.
Today he made fish for me, and I can honestly say it was the best and yummiest fish I have ever eaten in my life. Perfect seasoning, cooked beautifully, and incredibly fresh. You can really tell how much pride he puts into his food.
The store itself always has great halal options, but Akhtar’s food takes the experience to another level. The hospitality, the consistency, and the quality keep me coming back again and again. If you want amazing food and outstanding service, this is the place to go. Highly recommended.”

It’s the day of the party, 8/15/2026, my son SJs 3rd birthday, and I went to pick up my cake. Not only did it look amazing but I can tell they put time and care into it. Stacey is who did the cake and she was extremely pleasant. Aunt seemed like she was proud of her work and happy to serve a guest in the store. I also seen Miss Charlene there and she was just as pleasant as my previous review I left for her. Please recognize these employees as this definitely is going to have me extend word-of-mouth to any of my colleagues and friends who are looking to get cakes with great service. Sometimes people will hang up the phone just if somebody sounds nasty or under professional. These ladies were tremendous and they helped make my son’s birthday special. “I had such a great experience at Dollar General in Lee Hall thanks to Kayla at the register! From the moment I walked in, she had nothing but positive energy and good vibes. She went out of her way to show me where the “dollar aisle” was—something I didn’t even know existed—and because of her help, I ended up saving over $250!
Kayla is extremely knowledgeable about the store and clearly knows her stuff. What really stood out was how she was able to assist multiple customers at once while still being polite, attentive, and efficient. Everyone around me was complimenting her, and it was easy to see why.
She’s quick, professional, and genuinely cares about helping customers save money. Because of her, I’ll definitely be shopping at this location anytime I’m in the area.

“I wish I took a picture of everything I bought. I had a Philly cheesesteak, large gizzards, and the 20 piece naked wings and fries! Everything was delicious! It was cook to perfection gizzards crispy yum, the Philly cheesesteak I took one bite and decided not to share lol it was to good. The wings and fries was a slapper lol. I will be back for more. “12/24/2025: TIS THE SEASON TO BE JOLLY & THANKFUL…… and I am definitely feeling all the emotions of what this FOOD LION has done for me. I fell in their Oyster Point store in August. It was a freak accident…. NOT THEIR FAULT!!! (One part of my body went one way, my feet… the other!) APRIL & HER FOOD LION STAFF went up & beyond to get me immediate care. There was a gentleman who even went out to my car to get my Emotional Support Dog. I just want April’s Superiors to know how much I appreciate the KINDNESS & PROFESSIONALISM these folks exhibited. ****And a special THANK YOU to the customer who brought Albert to me! “My go-to Food Lion. Typically calm and non assuming place to get your groceries. Well kempt and polite employees for the most part. Parking is decent and the store itself is quite accommodating.”
“Miss Charlene took my call for my son’s cake. I have another review. I made a couple of minutes ago that goes in conjunction with this. Please see my review for the Jefferson Newport News store. I was told that they were unable to make a cake for my son because they did not have the Manning For Saturday. Miss Charlene took the call was very polite. Check the availability and she walked me through every step politely and friendly. She didn’t sound like she was going out of her way. She didn’t sound like that. She was being bothered. She sound like she wanted to help a guest with their order. When I got down to the specifics, she even started giving me suggestions instead of just red or blue she decided we would go with Spider-Man colors since it’s a Spider-Man theme. Customer service is so rare nowadays with computers are replacing our employees but the ones we still have to make that great customer experience possible we should definitely salute these people. I also recommend that her service Is notated by management because she made that experience very easy and I now want to recommend anybody to order from this Food Lion and I will continue to do so myself. Excellent job Miss Charlene thank you. This call was about around 10 AM on August 14, 2026.”
“This Food Lion has always been clean and orderly. It is stocked well, with lots of variety within a food/ item category. The patrons were not especially friendly, but it was a pretty hot day. I was assisted at check out with no waiting by a young man at the register. He was efficient at scanning and bagging, and patient when I inadvertantly removed my charge card prematurely. I was in and out pretty quick considering I did some browsing when trying to determine what desserts I wanted for my upcoming luncheon.”
