“My sister and I had a girls getaway to VA Beach for her first time away from her infant. We popped in to Golden Hour hoping they might have some good jeans or really anything that would make her feel more pulled together but comfortable in her post partum body. We scored a pair of cute jeans and an adorable army green light jacket at great prices. Not maternity clothes but just sized up. Cute selection and variety of clothes and accessories. That’s not why I’m writing this review. It was the women working there that set this place far apart. They were beyond helpful and so enthusiastic and encouraging about my sister shopping post partum. They had all been there and felt like her own cheering squad as she tried on items. Any one that’s had a kid knows how much kindness from others means when you’re trying to get through the early days. These women are just lovely.”

“I came in to get my wedding band sized and to have a necklace of questionable metal spruced up. Sandy was super helpful and was able to make my necklace look brand new again. They also had a very reasonable cost for ring sizing. I loved the welcoming atmosphere and will be back to shop soon.”

“When I lived in Virginia Beach, Nunez was my jeweler of choice. I have since moved away and the jewelers here could and would not reproduce my Tahitian pearl earing which I had lost which was part of a parure. This was a very difficult fabrication as the 16mm pearls needed to be matched to the original earring that I sent to them. They told me to be patient and they would find a match. The 18k earring had to be cast and some time later, they sent a completed earring and it was just perfect. I can't wait to wear the competed set into my jeweler here and show them...yes, it fact it can be replicated. Thank you Debbie and Pete!”

“I've wanted to visit Teal Eagle for a long time (I lived in Lago Mar for 10 years) so I've driven past it 1,000 times at least.
Finally, I was able to stop in and explore during a nearby lunch with a friend today.
The parking lot was a bit rough since it's been raining a lot bc they had some potholes and it's gravel. A bit muddy.
Once inside, it's kind'of dark but loaded with some cute items. I came in winter and they had some seasonal festive shirts and sweaters and some gifts and jewelry and accessories around the store.
Style is not mine - more boho chic and younger but, it's cute.
It's probably not a place I'll come to very often bc it's smaller and not easy to get in and out of but, there were some unique things here and if I had a friend with this style, this is a wonderful place to come for unique items you can't find anywhere else.”

“Wow! I’ve asked her employees to lock the door when they see me coming (because I can’t stop buying). We have a house here in Va Beach and two cottages in Avon on Hatteras island. We have purchased so many things for our three home. In our cottage visitor book, we’ve had some may compliments on our decorations and art work.
During Christmas and birthdays our family only purchases gift cards from Sweet-peas because they know how much we love that place”
