“This review is honestly a couple of years overdue. I recently came back to the area and visited a different When The Shoe Fits location and received the same level of excellent service. That experience reminded me that I never reviewed this Fishers Landing location, even though this is where they originally earned my trust. It didn’t feel right reviewing the newer experience without giving this store the credit it deserves.
I’m someone who is extremely slow to trust any business, especially when it comes to something like footwear where comfort, support, and durability actually matter. This location earned that trust the right way—through professionalism, knowledge, and genuine service.
The first thing that always stood out to me was how clean and well-kept the store is. Every time I walked in, it was immaculate. You’re greeted right away, and instead of being left to wander like a typical shoe store, the process is guided. It reminded me a lot of working in mattress sales—where the questions being asked may seem casual, but they’re actually helping the salesperson narrow down exactly what you need. I recognized that immediately, even if I don’t know the shoe industry the way they do.
They took measurements of my feet and asked the right kinds of questions to understand my needs. I have Army-related injuries and mobility limitations, so I needed something very specific: darker shoes that could pass in a business casual setting but still be comfortable enough for daily wear without aggravating my feet or ankles. I also needed something durable—not a flimsy shoe you can twist in half—but I’m not out running miles every day either. They brought out multiple options across different price points and explained why each one might work for me.
While they did mention add-ons like premium socks or inserts, it never felt pushy. I made it clear I was already spending around $200 on shoes and couldn’t stretch further, and they respected that. They explained the benefits, left the door open, and moved on. That matters.
One thing I expected but didn’t see was a more advanced gait analysis setup, but honestly, the salesperson’s experience made up for it. You could tell she knew what she was doing and had helped a lot of people before me.
The biggest thing for me, though, was trust. This didn’t feel like a place trying to upsell me or take advantage of me. It felt like a place trying to get me into the right product. Coming from Las Vegas, where it often feels like businesses assume the worst, that difference is huge.
I trusted them enough that I delayed replacing worn-out shoes for months just so I could come back to a When The Shoe Fits location. That should tell you everything you need to know.”

“In and out in 15 min. They had exactly what was required for my new job and had a lifetime warranty. Kind and friendly knowledgeable staff helped me into my new work boots and gave me a run down on how to properly maintain them. Also free cleaning and repairs monthly! Thank you Redwings! “Comprehensive children's boutique with a sizeable selection of fashionable apparel and accessories, at reasonable prices, particular when there is a sale on; and as this an outlet store, sales are prevalent here. We were mostly ignored by the staff during our entire visit until check out (they even failed to welcome us when we entered), so perhaps some customer interaction training is in order: a more welcoming environment, as well as pointing out any current sales and deals could only benefit the shop. Other than that, still a great place to find affordable children's clothing.”

“This place is tops. They gave me free replacement stock insoles. And the lady behind the counter knew everything about the aftermarket insoles they sell. Enough to talk me out of them. Lol. Cause the arches were to high for me.
They also have great prices on wool socks. And the wool socks they carry are a higher percentage of merino wool than anywhere I seen except REI. And who wants to drive all the way to Clackamas Town Center to go to REI?”

We bought a pair of Nike Gianni whatever they are, less than a month ago and they're coming apart already and she really empathized and tried to make it right despite no inventory to replace. Give this girl a raise and make her manager, if she isn't already! Watching her also interact with other customers, she's consistently amazing!”
