“The people who work there are friendly and inviting. I appreciate the kindness atmosphere because I don’t look like the typical Finnish person.
Good variety of foods, drinks, desserts, snacks, meats cheese, fruits and vegetables.
My favorite area is the teas! The vibe is slow and easy, feels very different than most grocery stores.
Open Monday through Saturday, please bring your bags and be prepared to find treasure.”
“It’s perfect place to find all natural ingredients please well you rice to the Tacoma mall stop by and get all you need for tea or anything ❤️❤️❤️❤️”
“Always really busy when I come in they also have like the most employees I've seen at a grocery store before considering how small it is, really good prices for snacks and meats also a good cheese selection but canned foods or frozen foods are really expensive for not much quantity.”
“excellent prices. in the last couple of weeks, I've been able to get:
2 lbs. of french green beans for $1
corn for 40 cents per ear (unshucked)
1 lb. of strawberries for $2
2 lbs. of brussel sprouts for 50 cents
bell peppers for 80 cents apiece
when the prices are really low, you need to eat/prepare the food more quickly than grocery store purchases. the employees are always courteous when I shop there.”
“I absolutely love HG.The staff is always incredibly helpful and knowledgeable!!Plus they make THE BEST sandwiches. ??My favorite are J's everyday or the little basil, both toasted”
“Friendly service, good selection of food products and produce. Low prices mostly. A lot of it is past the pull date, which may be concerning to some people. Not a place for big stock-ups. The lady behind me was buying cases of stuff, though.”
“I always love going here! Everyone is always so helpful and nice. I love their spice collection. They offer great advice, and the selection is out of this world!:♥️
Also, make sure you hit up the meat department! Chad is so awesome. We're loving the burger patties! My husband and I even pre-ordered our turkey from them this year, and we're super excited! We normally don't do the whole pre-order thing, but we couldn't resist! Everything we get from them is always so amazing. We figured we couldn't go wrong. ?”
“I love this market! There's a little bit of everything you would need or want. The bakery items are awesome! The giant chocolate chip cookies are even more delicious when you follow the instructions and warm them up, but taste just as good right off the shelf! The chocolate ganache cake is to die for. The pastries...yummy!”
“Always have a great selection on hand and great prices.. couple of the younger cashiers could use some training in
customer service in politeness.. beyond that it's a pretty good store.”
“After having the best vegetable soup ever and a wonderful warrior sandwich with thinly sliced cucumber and avocado and turkey and bacon YUM then I got the cutest succulent plant and it was bigger and cost less than the store I usually go to and another have to have it....plant and of all things... a pink pot to it in and I found delicious dried soup mixes that have a clear package so that you can see all the spices and the and the organic apples were a dollar a pound cheaper and the mango and avocados were cheaper than my regular health food store. Love love the store”
“We look forward to the Lakewood Farmers Market each year. The produce is a bit pricey compared to local stores. We prefer to go and support those businesses you mainly find at the market like the sourdough bread both, Mead booth, etc.”
“I get my candy bars and pumpkin seeds from here. Occasionally, you'll find random things every week. I hardly eat because it's too much work, but when I do, I go here and grab a candy bar. Good place to get soaps and shampoos for a good price. Good brands, too, like Jason, etc. They used to have better prices, but yeah not as decent as it used to be, but still okay.”
“I stop by occasionally for a quick bite and they have a great selection of items. There's a small coffee shop and a hot/cold foods deli inside. I've had a breakfast sandwich, tea salad, and juice from here. All yummy!”

“Items here you don't see other placesLots of cool items to buyGreat neighborhood corner convenient store.Bordega!!!I don't live in this neighborhood but I like coming here.”
“Love the selection, hate the prices! The selection of items to make your own salad have started to make a comeback from the COVID absence of cafeteria style self service bins. And we use the Amazon return desk there frequently. Great service! The cashier helped me find my Amazon QR code! And today we did the 12 oysters for 12 dollars shucked and on ice for travel ?!”
“The lady/cashier is absolutely amazing she's very friendly and she always drops what she's doing just to help you find what you need.If you blink you might miss it!so if you do get a chance to stop by dash point/browns point, do it! has a great view of Puget sound and the people are amazing”
“Products in this store are DELICIOUS and remind me of my childhood.
Bread is to die for.
I usually buy Ryazhenka ( baked cultured milk) from Biolife, and it is amazing.
My other favorite is amish cottage cheese, which is super soft and yummy.
I also tried different types of salami, so far I like the one called "Moskovskaya".
I love everything about this store: a variety of products, cleanliness, and organization.
However, some of the cashiers do not look friendly? to say the least.
Update: Today the cashier was way nicer. Hopefully all cashiers will keep up positive attitude. It makes a big difference?”

“Great store! This is my go to for coffee syrups for my coffee bar at home and they have a great deal on cold and hot disposable cups. Their frozen section has great deals on bulk items such as gyoza and frozen pretzels. The staff are always friendly and there are good parking spaces.”

“A little pricey, but 1 in 3 women will get cancer 1 in 2 men will also. So organic is expensive but so is cancer. Say no to Bill Gates GMO in your body. The sugar I buy here doesn't get me fat like the normal one does.”
“You need to be a creative and saavy shopper. I go in with a menu idea and then may have to get creative to match ingredient items available to what I have planned. Prices are workable. Lots of fun items. Employees are friendly and helpful. Checkout is a breeze. Love this place.”
“Place was super busy, slammed even. The line was likely.fifteen deep. By time I got up TO register i was pretty stressed and annoyed. Melina g name unknown was cashier. She was super friendly and outgoing and even after the madhouse she was upbeat. She said she worked long day before and still was smiling. I appreciate that thank you.!”
“It's ok the 1 missing star is for people chasing me around thinking I'm stealing like yea I don't do that and well stocking good price well we all have good places and bad ones this is OK”
“Even though it's small, it's fun to see what's available. There are fewer vendors than there used to be. So far this season there have been only 2 vendors selling a selection of produce. If you're looking for lunch, your choices so far are teriyaki/bbq, Indian, pizza, & mexican.”
“Cool for a pop in spot to pick up things on the go, like a quick snack, or a pop. Location is iffy, as there are a lot of sketch folks all about. But actual business, is solid.”
“This is apparently the only Safeway fueling station in Santa Rosa. That said it's a busy place but I have no complaints. When I buy Safeway groceries I use the substantial gas discounts I get. Very welcome in these inflation plagued times.”
“What can I say - the oldest cutest little market right on the harbor. Home made waffles with either sweet or savory fillings. Multiple micro brews on tap. Serving locally roasted Valhalla Coffee…..Can you say YUM?!!!!!”

“Wonderful beer selection. Meat and produce are fairly priced and very good quality. Anything else you buy there is 10-20% more than a grocery store. It is usually a quick and easy stop though, so a lot of times the extra price is worth the headache, imo.”
“LOVE this local mart!! Service is always so friendly and they’ve got such a lovely selection of beer and snacks. Just a fantastic little neighborhood spot full of random delights. Please support this small business. :)”
