“Island View Market is a hidden gem by the water you don’t want to miss. I absolutely love Island View Market—it’s the perfect neighborhood shop for all your last-minute needs. Just around the corner from Deadman’s Island (Cutts Island State Park), it’s incredibly convenient whether you’re on land or arriving by boat. One of the best perks? They have non-ethanol gas for your boat, which is a rare and welcome find
The staff are always so friendly and welcoming, making every visit feel personal. If you’re ever missing something, chances are they have it—from snacks to essentials. Their selection of beer and wine is impressive and if your kids are along for the ride, it’s the perfect stop for an ice cream or sweet treat.
The views from the market are just beautiful, adding to the whole experience. It’s always a joy to hop off the boat and do a little shopping. They also carry fun and nostalgic Gig Harbor souvenirs, perfect for gifts or keepsakes.
Best of all, they’re open on Sundays—a huge plus in the area. Island View Market is a true local treasure, and I’m always happy to support them.”
“Love this little place. The Only place around when you need a cold drink. Or are camping and need some essentials. They even sell gas. Probably the last place to turn on your pump with a quick wave and a smile instead of making you prepay.”
“Way over priced store but being that it's the only place to shop in miles it has to do .... The staff is amazing and always in a good attitude. I'd go their all the time if I didn't have to go off the island .”
“It's my Supermarket. It's clean, organized, and I've gotten to know the the staff's names.
But the best part is they took the time to know mine!!”
“I love this gas station!!
The owners before always kept the place so clean & nice. I will forever miss his wife who would straight make my day every time I encountered her.
I hope they retired & are enjoying life together!
I thought it would be hard for someone to live up to them but the new owners have done a superb job at revamping the whole place. Inside & Out.
It's really clean & organized with tons of choices, hot food etc.. Everyone greets you with a smile & acts like they are grateful for the business.
They go above & beyond to make sure their customers are happy & able to find what they need.
The beer & wine selection is huge. Very convenient being there's only like 6 total gas stations out here. If I were out of town I would most definitely stop here before heading deeper into the Key Peninsula.”
“What can I say - the oldest cutest little market right on the harbor. Home made waffles with either sweet or savory fillings. Multiple micro brews on tap. Serving locally roasted Valhalla Coffee…..Can you say YUM?!!!!!”
“This is a very nice shopping center. Displays are prominent outdoors and remain stocked, which in my opinion indicates that this shopping center is located in a very safe area. There aren't any outdoor products displays in the hood. Abundant parking, and a logical layout.”

“I came here after the remodel and Daryl was absolutely amazing. He helped me even though I was having a super bad day due to LOWES having crappy customer service. Daryl restored my faith in somebody who totally understands what it's like to be a first time home owner and find yourself in positions where you are fixing the house and really just need some small help. Daryl was that guy. It was a small faucet repair and he seriously was able to help and direct me in the right direction. I will be 100% coming back for more products while I upgrade my house. So happy with the service that I received. Thank you Lake Kathryn ACE HARDWARE!!”
“Handy place to fuel between the Narows bridge and Port Orchard. Although yesterday they had quite a few pumps out of service, which made it take longer than normal. Fuel is less expensive here than at the name brand stations.”

“Prices are a little high compared to places across the bridge, atm inside charges 3 or 4 dollars to withdraw but overall pretty decent gas station in a convenient spot”
“I love my GH Safeway! I love all the food selections and for the most part prices are good too. The store's staff are ALL great! Always sincerely cheerful, asking how they can help you, then physically helping you with getting full grocery carts to your car, etc. The friendly guys at the meat & seafod counters go out of their way to help you-same for lady in the bakery. Most staff walk you to the right place when you're looking for an item. Customer Service & mgrs. are top notch & if can't solve your issue directly try to make up for it with a little gift card. The store is clean and well organized. My only suggestions/constructive criticism: I do miss having Quest labs there! One blond lady in Pharamcy seems to always be "unhappy & impatient"? Safeway bakery breads are not as good as they used to be, i.e. sourdough not much flavor (did they change recipes?) & at times store is missing items or has empty shelves but I undertstand the supply chain issues, etc. going on right now for many. FYI I have tried the new Met Market across the street & it may be "pretty" but I'll stick with my Safeway for selections, helpful staff and prices! Thank you.”
“I've been shopping at this store since we moved here three years ago. A few of the staff members are amazing, like Scott in the checkstand, Kevin in the lobby, and the young lady that runs the liquor department to name a few, damn, I should remember her name as she has been fantastic! And a few others. But some need some serious work on their customer service skills, especially a few of the supervisors. A smile and a hello go a long way!
I retired as a grocery supervisor, and I always made sure my customers felt appreciated and valued.
This location was just remodeled and rebranded as Safeway. I know first hand that it's not the name on the building, or even the prices, that get clientele to return. It's the staff!
Overall, I like this store and I'll like it even more when the shopping carts are replaced.”

“On June 6, I showed up as soon as the pharmacy opened, hoping to get an essential prescription filled asap to be able to make connections for a long planned trip out of Seattle. The pharmacist couldn't make promises but nonetheless, filled what I needed in good time for my needs. I found this pharmacy both competent and considerate.”
“I am very depressed that Rite Aid bought Bartells. They are gutting this long time, local family owned, high-quality chain. So many people are lamenting the loss of all the cute, quality food and gifts they once carried and how nice the stores looked.
Now it looks like they're going to close this branch... The Gig Harbor store. There's very little inventory in here. And Rite Aid...I won't be coming to your stores any time soon. I'll go to a grocery store instead.
The family has probably taken the money and run .... But I'm so sad they sold out. They probably knew Rite Aid would destroy what their family built up for over 50 years... Is it almost 100? Just Sad.”
“I've liked Bridgeway market since I moved to Gig Harbor in 2021. Not just because it is so close to home but because of the people who work there.
Nick and the others are genuinely nice, helpful, and personable.
The market recently sold and new owners have done a great job of un-cluttering.”
“Good location, convenient parking. I went there for instant photos, but according to store staff, they no longer (indefinite?) Serving the self service photo kiosks. They were out of photo printing paper and have no plans to replenishment. It may be corporate wide not specific to this location but its sad to see the services being gone that used to provide benefits of getting the tasks done instantly. Your best bet would be office depot (Gig Harbor) for next day photo pickup”
“Definitely one of the better Fred Meyer I've been to having been to many across the state. It is usually well stocked and very clean. But why are we allowing ATT salespeople in the stores to accost people while they're shopping now?? It's weird and annoying how they hover around you.”
“Great place for emergency Fuel!!
Nice long distance view of the Purdy Bridge ?
Gas, Diesel, Propane and auto vacuums available...
Wait, What? No Beer!?!? ? ?
?”
“Nice store with a great selection of tasty foods. I split an Italian sandwich with a friend and it was plenty for us both. The store had a similar vibe to Whole Foods, with fresh produce including watermelon slices for sampling, and decadent cookies and chocolates near the cashier for those impulse buyers like me.”
