“Nice little discount grocery store that has some amazing deals, especially on produce. To see their daily and weekend deals, check them out on Facebook. Prices aren't as good as they use to be, but still can find enough to make stopping worth it. OH! Candy. They can have excellent prices on various candy at times too.
I've noticed the last year or so, a much wider selection of harder to find brands and lots of new ethnic brands. New drinks too. Lots of interesting ones.”
“Amazing food choices. The bakery has all kinds of delicious treats. The deli has so many options. Sandwiches, pizza, a poke bar, 8 different kinds of fresh soups, and a salad bar. The employees are also friendly and happy to offer recommendations.”

“I have been going to this store for a few years now. I absolutely love all the eployees. When I shopped there the other day I was shocked to see all new staff. They were really nice but I assumed that the new owners got rid of the original employees because I asked the girl at the counter where Tim was and she didn't know who I was talking about. Because of this assumption I gave them one star but since the owner kindly replied that they did keep all the original staff that wanted to stay I am very happy now and I will continue to recommend this store. Thank You”

All good quality produce for $48. The pineapple was ready to be cut open same-day, the cherries were bomb. They cut the corn on the cob for me. They have such great customer service. I’m happy with the new ownership.”

“Good selection. Only place in town that carries certain products I need (Bob’s Red Mill Grits, Picapepper sauce, etc.). However, this place is slightly more expensive than other grocery stores.”
“LOVE this place! I buy all of my coffee sweeteners here. They have such an amazing variety of flavors. Their prices are amazing. They regularly have sales on them. The people who work there are always super nice and happy to help. There is an enormous and spacious parking lot. There is always somewhere to park. A location couldn't be more convenient. I love the people over at the US chef store on 72nd, but I feel so much safer at this location. There's lots of people. There's the road right there with lots of traffic. It's great. The aisles are super spacious. They have carts that work for both hauling heavy items and then carts for your smaller shopping. It was not difficult to find a cart either. There were plenty of them. Probably cuz they're not getting stolen here but it's nice. I like shopping here. They accept debit cards and credit cards here.”

“I called this morning about a problem with one of my hanging baskets. I’ve been getting my baskets here for a couple of years now, and they’re always amazing. Andrew was super helpful — he gave me great tips to keep them healthy all summer and helped me figure out what was going on with the one that wasn’t doing well.
He really went above and beyond and made an exception he didn’t have to, and I appreciate that so much.
If you haven’t been here yet, you should definitely check it out — they’ve got everything from meat to pots to flowers. Thanks again!”
“Awesome selection of inexpensive, yet scrumptious candy from Russia [I think?]. The staff is either polite and quiet or super sweet and smiley. It's never busy and they are eager to help when I have a question. The store is organized and clean and the prices are clearly labeled.”

The bulk section prices are incredibe and is my absolute favorite section of the store.
I don't know how they manage to keep everything stocked with how busy it is all the time,

“Saar’s Super Saver Foods is a great place to shop, and one of the best parts of the store is the deli and hot food area in the back. They have a solid selection, and the Chinese food is surprisingly good for a grocery store—fresh, flavorful, and perfect for a quick meal. The store itself has a wide variety of items at good prices, and it’s easy to get in and out without much hassle. It can get a little busy at times, but overall it’s a reliable spot with a deli that’s worth stopping for.”

I've been a loyal Safeway customer for years, and one of the biggest reasons I stick with you is the fuel points program. But since moving to Tacoma, I’ve noticed that none of the Safeway gas pumps here allow customers to redeem their points at the pump—you have to go inside and ask the cashier. It’s inconvenient, especially when other locations I’ve lived in, like Bellevue and Bothell, have fully functioning systems that let you redeem points directly at the pump.
This might seem like a small issue, but it adds up—and it feels like another example of how Tacoma, a lower-income and more diverse city, is often overlooked when it comes to basic upkeep and customer experience. Why is this acceptable here, but not in wealthier, whiter neighborhoods?
It’s not a good look. I’m asking Safeway to address this directly and bring Tacoma locations up to the same standard. Tacoma deserves better.”
“Even though it's small, it's fun to see what's available.There are fewer vendors than there used to be. So far this season there have been only 2 vendors selling a selection of produce.If you're looking for lunch, your choices so far are teriyaki/bbq, Indian, pizza, & mexican.”

“Isa is a wonderful store owner. His goat meat is always fresh and tender, and since he is a butcher, he cuts it right in the store. Although this shop is small, it’s mighty and has all the essentials like palm oil, seasonings, garri, oat flour, cow skin, and other Nigerian staples. Prior to finding this shop, I would drive all the way to Lakewood for my ingredients. I'm so glad I found this place.
Also, he’s a one man shop. He always picks up his phone so feel free to give him a call before stopping by.”
“Close to home and always open. Stays pretty clean and lit up. be careful thou of thieves and sketchy people. there has been several robberies there, people stealing purses from peoples cars while they are pumping gas.”
