“They have a wonderful selection of items you may not easily find anywhere else. This market is a hidden treasure of items. Will definitely be shopping there again soon.”
“I've been going to this place for 8 years with my family and never had a bad experience. The staff are super chill, know pretty much every price off the top of there head and are just AWESOME! Best part is that they get products that are sometimes harder to find in even grocery stores where they're more seasonal like star fruits and mangoes.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND”
“They have changed owners. However, the shop still retains its charm. In my opinion and quality products, it's restrooms are as before, quite clean, very friendly staff.”
“Best high-end grocer in town. Walk in the front entrance... baking cookies smack you in the nose. Then the cheese and meat selection. Then the freshest, nicest veggies you've ever seen. And much more. Check it out.”
“I have been going to this store for a few years now. I absolutely love all the eployees. When I shopped there the other day I was shocked to see all new staff. They were really nice but I assumed that the new owners got rid of the original employees because I asked the girl at the counter where Tim was and she didn't know who I was talking about. Because of this assumption I gave them one star but since the owner kindly replied that they did keep all the original staff that wanted to stay I am very happy now and I will continue to recommend this store. Thank You”
“Went in today and everyone that worked there was super friendly and helpful.
8 ears of corn
5lbs broccoli
9 lemons
3 limes
3lbs cherries
6 fat plantains
5 avocados
1 pineapple
1 of the fattest cucumbers
All good quality produce for $48. The pineapple was ready to be cut open same-day, the cherries were bomb. They cut the corn on the cob for me. They have such great customer service. I’m happy with the new ownership.”
“The employees are all awesome and helpful at Thriftway. They have great produce. Their fruits and vegetables are always top shelf. Groceries and other essentials are a little pricey. They offer a lot of locally made items of high quality.”
“I love love this store is the best grocery outlet store in Washington. The store is super clean well stocked friendly employees and the owners are always there working super hard Keep it up beautiful store.”

“A little pricey, but 1 in 3 women will get cancer 1 in 2 men will also. So organic is expensive but so is cancer. Say no to Bill Gates GMO in your body. The sugar I buy here doesn't get me fat like the normal one does.”
“Solid place for food prep and restaurant supplies. Really good prices on meat and cheese! Best place for a full slab brisket and their frozen selections are also quite good. Always well organized and the checkout lines usually move quickly.”

“Love 2 of the 3 people that work here. They really do have a big variety of things, but often I find things that are expired. Like Lunchables/cold food and crackers/chips. This was one of the only places during covid that I could consistently buy toilet paper, and you really can find pretty much anything here.”
“The lady/cashier is absolutely amazing she's very friendly and she always drops what she's doing just to help you find what you need.If you blink you might miss it!so if you do get a chance to stop by dash point/browns point, do it! has a great view of Puget sound and the people are amazing”
“great store, always get my vapes and snacks here. The lady working 9/24/25 at 1:30pm was great, she was having a bad day and there was a issue with the register and she fixed it, kept a nice attitude ,was lovely and had a great conversation.”

“I love the fruit here. The place is rarely busy. Most of the staff is friendly. They're mainly younger and spend a lot of time talking amongst themselves and don't acknowledge the customers. Two girls were talking and I said "excuse me" because I had a question and one girls just walked away. The girl that ended up helping me was new there but was very friendly and helpful.”
“This store has been here almost my whole life.wish they had gas like years and years ago. I think that was when Canyon Road was two lanes only. Time flies by I'll tell you that much”
“Its a great little store. Its conveniently located along a strip of several different apartments apartments which makes for easy grab and go shopping. Clerk has always been polite and helpful. Its small but has plenty variety. Plus i love the price of cigarettes here.”

“WinCo is my absolute favorite grocery store and is very busy every single day.
The bulk section prices are incredibe and is my absolute favorite section of the store.
I don't know how they manage to keep everything stocked with how busy it is all the time,
so I'm giving the Staff 5 Stars for all the hard work and effort, I appreciate you very much.
See you again soon.”
“Great selection for the size of the shop. No need to drive to Parkland! Friendly staff speak Russian and Ukrainian. Probably also Polish. English too, but please be patient with the newer immigrants who work here. Deli counter has meats, cheeses and fish. Take a number.”
“Saar’s Super Saver Foods is a great place to shop, and one of the best parts of the store is the deli and hot food area in the back. They have a solid selection, and the Chinese food is surprisingly good for a grocery store—fresh, flavorful, and perfect for a quick meal. The store itself has a wide variety of items at good prices, and it’s easy to get in and out without much hassle. It can get a little busy at times, but overall it’s a reliable spot with a deli that’s worth stopping for.”
“Always shop here, everyone is friendly. Don't worry you don't have to speak Spanish, they'll still be nice? Food is great, people always ask me where we get our spices and carne asada”
“I love the owners. They are the sweetest people ever. So nice and helpful. I hope they never go away. The veggies are so delicious. The fruit is fantastic! The prices are great.”

“Even though it's small, it's fun to see what's available. There are fewer vendors than there used to be. So far this season there have been only 2 vendors selling a selection of produce. If you're looking for lunch, your choices so far are teriyaki/bbq, Indian, pizza, & mexican.”

“Isa is a wonderful store owner. His goat meat is always fresh and tender, and since he is a butcher, he cuts it right in the store. Although this shop is small, it’s mighty and has all the essentials like palm oil, seasonings, garri, oat flour, cow skin, and other Nigerian staples. Prior to finding this shop, I would drive all the way to Lakewood for my ingredients. I'm so glad I found this place.
Also, he’s a one man shop. He always picks up his phone so feel free to give him a call before stopping by.”
“Very good store and its products such as on Sundays carnitas and tortillas made the same day also the stocked butcher section
But what I like most is the attention to how to treat the camera, very friendly and of course pretty and young.
?Recommended store?”
“Close to home and always open. Stays pretty clean and lit up. be careful thou of thieves and sketchy people. there has been several robberies there, people stealing purses from peoples cars while they are pumping gas.”
“I found this store here, it happened all the time in the morning, Ana stocked what I liked most that my Guatemalan drinks were that I liked to enjoy here, I found them, I recommend them.”
“Edit from 1 star to 5: the pumps have been repaired, thank you so much!
I've been a loyal Safeway customer for years, and one of the biggest reasons I stick with you is the fuel points program. But since moving to Tacoma, I’ve noticed that none of the Safeway gas pumps here allow customers to redeem their points at the pump—you have to go inside and ask the cashier. It’s inconvenient, especially when other locations I’ve lived in, like Bellevue and Bothell, have fully functioning systems that let you redeem points directly at the pump.
This might seem like a small issue, but it adds up—and it feels like another example of how Tacoma, a lower-income and more diverse city, is often overlooked when it comes to basic upkeep and customer experience. Why is this acceptable here, but not in wealthier, whiter neighborhoods?
It’s not a good look. I’m asking Safeway to address this directly and bring Tacoma locations up to the same standard. Tacoma deserves better.”
