“The 5 stars are for Olivia Killingsworth. I was worried about coming in because nearly every BOA that's not an ATM has dismal reviews averaging 2.5 stars or less. However, Olivia made the entire closing account process quick and painless. I was impressed not only with how much she was running around to get everything done (being the only available staff member on the floor) but she was incredibly down-to-earth; I felt like I was sitting with her at a coffee shop or something that speaks of a relaxed atmosphere; she was professional AND vibrant. Anyways, I'm SUPER grateful for her and the fact that she gave me the kind of closing any customer would wish for was indeed something to be grateful for. I'm pleased that her name is on my closing receipt. Someone give his woman a promotion. PS: I don't know the lady who helped me before Olivia but she was pleasant as well. Great job, ladies.”

“My family and I have been loyal Bank of America customers for over 15 years, but after this experience, I’m questioning our future with them. The issue was eventually resolved, but Bank of America’s customer service phone system is a disaster, especially for elderly customers.
Dominic at the branch was the only reason this issue was finally fixed. While we waited, he personally made multiple calls to customer service, working through their broken system to unfreeze my father’s account. I appreciate his professionalism, his dedication and effort, but the fraud department and phone support (or whoever handles these types of issues behind the scenes)deserve zero stars. They failed to respond, wasted our time, and showed zero care for customer frustration and not to care enough to reach out.
It should not have taken 8 hours across multiple days to resolve this.
Timeline of the experience:
Saturday (1/24): three and a half Hour of hold time on the phone and ID verification at the branch with no resolution.
Monday (1/26): Another 3 hours on hold, requested a callback, received a call that hung up, another failed callback attempt, and still no progress.
Tuesday (1/27): Spent 2.5 hours at the branch while Dominic worked with customer service to resolve the issue.
The phone-based customer service is the real problem—endless hold times, poor communication, and zero urgency. While branch staff did what they could, the entire process was unnecessarily stressful and frustrating. Bank of America needs to seriously improve its phone support. Based on this, I do not recommend this bank for elderly customers.”

I met Andrew after less than 30 seconds and a few minutes before my scheduled appointment. Andrew was super helpful and efficient. While I was there, he explained some benefits I was missing out on. He wasn't pushy and was ok if I didn't take up these extra free benefits.
Great personal service and another reason why I have only banked with First Tech for the last 18 years.
