“I visited the Redmond location for the first time yesterday looking for new running shoes and it just happened to be during their anniversary sale. I was specifically looking at Brooks and Altra running shoes and narrowed it down to a couple of different Brooks models. Two staff helped me and they were both extremely knowledgeable. I don't want to bore you with my specific questions, but based on their technical answers, I narrowed it down a shoe that would support my natural foot fall and provide stability for my road running, and let me tell you I was torn between a couple of shoes. I was glad the shoe I chose was more discounted than the anniversary 15% off sale! I ran with my new shoes today and I am in love with them. The staff led me in the right direction. Got him sized up and fitted for everything he needed to immediately fit in. “Ben in the ski shop is the best ski repairmen I have ever seen! He fixed up two pairs of skis for me, one of them being what I originally thought was past repairable. He was able to bring them back to life and they now ride like they are brand new! Super great customer service, super knowledgeable, and great communication. I will bring all my skis into sturtevants and request him for every repair and wax job I ever have to do going forward!”

This was a challenging shipment due to the size and weight and we ran into several issues over the course of the weeks I was waiting for shipment. I'm entirely impressed with the care, responsiveness and professionalism of two individuals who worked with me to make sure I received and was satisfied with the order. I also was able to get a racket that was ready to go and they also have the option to string them too. The stringing option is relatively affordable as well for all their prices.”

“I've been here twice within two weeks. They have an amazing return policy and really care about you finding a shoe that works. I've brought shoes here for over a decade! You have 30 days to return the shoes if they don't work out. What prompted me to write a review 7 years later from my first review was the expertise of one of the sales people, Robert. My beloved ASICS updated their shoes and don't work for me anymore. The shoes I brought two weeks ago killed my arches and shin the three times I wore them. I came in and told him the issue. He said to sit tight. He brought out three shoes of different brands and I ran outside and up the hill (it's the test run they have people do). He was so knowledgeable and considerate and asked me questions. I ended up getting an even switch because the shoes were the same price. To me, it's worth spending good money on running shoes. ($140) The person who originally sold me the shoe didn't say much, and the lady who greeted us at the door today didn't help me when I said I was going to return or exchange my shoes depending on what I found. (Rude) Overall, Robert is worth going back too! Plus they had some gems on the sales rack that we purchased too! Overall,”

“Motion Boardshop is the place to go for all of your longboarding needs! Longboarding has been a hobby of mine since childhood, but I took a ten year hiatus, and needed to start from scratch on a new setup. I also wanted to introduce my partner to the sport. Nate, the owner, helped us each pick out the right setup for us individually, explaining every intricate detail of what each component does and how it affects your cruise. I initially came with the intention of buying a much more expensive setup, and he led me to the perfect setup for my needs which was much more affordable. Motion Boardshop also has a HUGE selection of unique, locally manufactured decks and components, which are all top tier in quality. We will definitely be back when we are ready to start the more expensive board sport...”

“Ive been to Risan several times over the past couple months for our select baseball team to pick up gear and uniforms. Our go to person we've been ordering from is Kristin, but I've been in and received help from Ryan and multiple different folks. All are welcoming and helpful. I wish I would have known about Risan a couple seasons back when we were having trouble finding cleats. They had a TON of options, same goes for bats ( they even had the Fire bat which was one of my son's top asked for bday items). There was a day recently where Kristin was not in, and I was able to still get a response from her via email and her coworker even text her to get a response. The team at Risan cares about their customers and that's rare to find nowadays. Every time I've been in I see someone else there getting great service, and you can tell they've had some relationships with local schools and teams for years and years. I also like that they're able to do small batch orders. We were considering doing a dozen hats for parents and Kristin was more than happy to get quotes for me. Next time we need any baseball gear for the team or just my son, we'll be hitting up Risan. Highly recommend for baseball gear in Kirkland/Redmond/Sammamish.”
