“Had a wonderful experience here! I originally came in just to try on shoes before buying online, but after the foot scan, I ended up finding a completely different pair that fit my feet much better.
Ahmed was incredibly patient and knowledgeable, helping both my mom and me try on multiple pairs. I also loved that the staff don't work on commission, so there was zero sales pressure. Highly recommend if you're looking for shoes that truly work for your feet!”
“Have taken two lessons for kiteboarding through Urban surf up at the Everett Jetty.
Overall, great experience, knowledgable teachers with one on one sessions.
Additionally, they are exceptionally fair when it comes to time on the water. They don't charge you for the set up and take down time which is just apart of kiteboarding. The teachers will be very honest when you're ready to venture out on your own and provide a ton of knowledge on kiteboarding, like what to watch out for buying used, what features in equipment might be important to you and your specific cases, etc.
Overall, if you want to get into kite boarding, this is a very safe and well ran organization.
Also, sometimes the wind doesn't blow and their reschedule process is clear and straightforward when that happens.”
“I bought some new skates here today!
Brian was very knowledgeable about skates and he answered all my questions in a kind and professional manner.
My new skates broke on the first ride and Brian was quick to fix my problem!
Overall very professional and I will certainly be coming back to Shop Task next time I need anything inline skate related!”
“We love our local running store! We bought a pair of running shoes for my 14 year old son that after a few runs unfortunately gave him blisters. We brought the shoes back looking for advice on how to heal the blister. Both the sales associate (Isaac) and owner (Lori) took time to try and figure out why the shoes had given my son blisters. After examing the shoes and asking my son questions, it was determined that he was getting a new pair of shoes. I really appreciated the time, patience and kindness Lori and Isaac put into talking to my son and fitting him for new shoes.”
“Met Brian today on my first visit to the store and he was super friendly and helpful! So glad to have this shop in the city and I’ll for sure be back as I expand my collection.”
“NWOC is a great place to go kayaking and paddle boarding! It's an easy rental process and you can get last minute supplies like gloves booties, and more. Lake union is one of the best views of downtown!
I highly recommend the whitewater and sea kayaking classes too. They are a lot of fun!”
“By far the best customer experience I’ve had anywhere in Seattle. I didn’t catch the name of the girl who helped me, but she was fantastic: friendly, professional, knowledgeable and not pushy at all. I also went up the street to check out the Patagonia store (the brand I normally buy) and the customer service level there was polar opposite so I immediately came back here to buy a jacket.”
“I've been all over the country and I still haven't found a run shop with a better selection of shoes, gear, and nutrition, plus they really know their stuff and have always been super helpful. I've discovered many a new shoe here.”
“Great selection with kind and knowledgeable staff.
Stopped in for the first time today as a complete beginner to flies. These guys instantly greeted me, showed me the flies I was looking for, gave me pointers on their mechanics and use, and kindly answered all of my questions. It was a terrific introduction as a newbie, and I guarantee I'll be back many times as I gain more experience.”
“These are the kinds of local shops that I want to support, rather than buy everything online. I know next to nothing about skateboarding. Nate had 5 surfskate models in stock, and he welcomed us to try them out in the store. He talked us through pros and cons. He also helped us replace wheels on an inherited skateboard that weren't optimal for our bumpy road. Very chill vibe, will be back.”
“Phenomenal staff that didn’t waste any time on my exercise of the right to swap out a pair of shoes that didn’t quite work for me. They even gave me completely new insoles. Love both the process and the hassle free end result. Thanks! BZ/JUSTICE SMILES, pllc”
“Looks like I just found the only store in Seattle who would still print name and number on a blank jersey ( let alone on the spot ) and trust me I rang a few.
Amazing experience working with Zach and i’m very happy with my purchase.
Great customer service, great store and to top it off, massive discounts!
Totally recommend”
“Kylie and Millie were a huge help and absolutely wonderful! I needed to return a heavy bike rack and they helped me transport it from my car. I couldn’t have done it without them!”
“My Fiance grew up skating and wanted to get a new board so he can start teaching our son, and they hooked us up with a custom complete for a great price. Even gripped the deck and mounted the trucks, attached the wheels etc. didn't mind our son running around like a mad man. Pretty cool spot.”
“Jeremy was so helpful!! He made sure each shoe he brought out fit properly, then watched how I walked in them to make suggestions. It was very busy, but he was able to fully help me, while assisting other customers. Best shoe shopping experience ever!”
“Very fast customer service. Quality Perfetta bocce balls. Product shipped very fast to my house. Highly recommend. ( I took the balls out of the shipping package before taking the photo.)”
“helpful and informative lady working there. lots of martial arts supplies, glassware, lion's heads, and chinese slippers. worth stopping in and looking around”
“Great selection of shoes. I have bought two shoes from here recently and will keep coming back. Rodalfo (I think that’s how you spell his name) gives excellent customer service”
“They have some fantastic items on display. Was able to find a really cool shirt, and I got a silver coin they had on display. Definitely a must visit for any big sports fan. They have more than just local teams on display.”
“What a find! The sun finally came out and I dusted off my inflatable paddle-board only to realize my pump had the wrong adapter. I called Wiley’s, they answered within seconds and confirmed that they had all the paddle-board accessories I needed. I was greeted instantly with a warm welcome and helped to find the pump I was looking for. I drive by here everyday on my way to work and from the outside I thought they only sold boats, man was I wrong! This place had everything you could imagine you’d ever want or need to get out on the water. Huge selection of various items and everyone was so helpful! It’s been two days and I’m already considering going back and upgrading my gear in person because it was so refreshing to actually talk to someone about what I needed vs attempting to buy online. Thanks for helping me get back out on the water!”
“Emissaries of Embroidery, Legends of Lettering, Pharaohs of Fan Gear, Michaelangelo of Monograms... This is an excellent family owned and run business. Trust them with your duds.”
“Jay is the best. Came in after my driver shaft snapped during a morning round and he was able to fix it in less than 24 hours. He definitely know his stuff when it comes to fitting, and even offered to stick around a little while before closing. If you have any golf needs whatsoever I highley recommend. There’s a reason why he is no stranger to the Seattle golf community. Absolute legend.”
“Cool looking supply shop with a good selection of Marmot stuff. At the beginning of October 2022 they had a lot of under garments and shirts at 50% off. Most of the shirts for men were smalls. Nice place in you forgot something on your travels.”

“I like that this business has a family owned vibe to it. It is alwsys immaculately kept and you can tell they keep their work organized. I implicitly trust my life saving equipment to be serviced here. They are responsive to phone call (answered by a sweet human!) and email as well.”
“I'm a regular visitor to the Kraken Community Iceplex team store. They carry pretty much every type of Seattle Kraken or Coachella Valley Firebirds merch, and they can add names and/or numbers to haters while you wait. I love their clearance rack!”
“Super nice store! I went in to set up my first board and Alex was super helpful in guiding me through all the choices and putting it all together for me. Everyone is super laid back, they don't try and upsell you on stuff because you're new. I'll definitely be coming back the next time I need something skating related.”
“I just started canoeing after a long hiatus from paddling and I was checking out gear for my new hobby. I ran across a hat for boating and found a style that I liked. Unfortunately, the color and size selection was limited. So... I went to the manufacturer's website. There I found a much better selection.
Then I saw a color that I thought was... well, hideous, to be frank. I had to take a closer look. What appeared to be a drab floral pattern was in fact a pattern of mushrooms. I studied it. And much like a fungus, it began to grow on me. I checked the availablilty and it wasn't in stock in my size. Oh well.
The next morning had me thinking about that hat. I checked the website again. It said that it was available at the flagship store in Ballard, two hours away. So I hopped in my car and took a drive.
The hat is perfect.
The store? Seattle funky. Not my style. Corduroys, knits and drab Seattle colors predominate. I tried to find something to get for my wife, who likes jewel tones. It didn't happen.
That said, if you're into this style then Kavu is a winner. Bags, hats, funky pants and shirts galore. The store is neatly laid out and has a great feel to it. The young woman working there was very helpful and pleasant.
I can see myself going back for another hat someday. I'll refrain from posting a picture of myself wearing the hat. That'll save you from a laughter injury.”
“Love these guys and their gorgeous dog. Top quality embroidery. Very flexible with designs and willingness to logo small batches. Customer service and quality spot on! - from Windworks Sailing”
“I was in a pickle because I lost the key to my Thule roof box. They had a master set and they were able to get me unlocked and locks changed in <5 minutes. Excellent service here, highly recommend”
