“I have nothing but high praise for Capital City Stove & Grill. I had another business tell me my gas fireplace insert, which I'd had for over 25 years, was not fixable. So I stopped in to Capital City to look at replacements. Larry overheard me describing my fireplace woes to Laurie, and he surmised he knew what was wrong. Said he'd prefer to fix it, if he could, rather then sell me a new one. The challenge seemed to intrigue him; he is a problem solver. Larry was very knowledgeable and even reconnected some features that had been disconnected by someone else. He reassured me that the basic unit was still really solid. He freshened up the ember wool and arranged the logs so it looked better. It took a couple of visits, but the work was outstanding. Lots of testing turning it on and off with the thermostat to confirm everything was functioning properly and the fan blowing. Larry and Laurie were always there when they said they would be, courteous and clean, reasonably priced, and just good people. I won't hesitate to call them again, or refer them to others, whether for repair or a new insert. Thank you for giving me my well-love fireplace back, with 25 years of memories with my the kids, not to mention saving me many thousands of dollars.”

Big shout out to Erika at this Lowe's store for meeting us halfway, even though it was a manufacturer issue, and helping us to a solution that fixed the lawnmower. She turned a frustrating situation into a positive one with understanding and empathy. Thank you so much, Erika!”

“We just bought an old house built in 1930 and the bedroom carpets looked like they were almost as old as the house. We needed to get them replaced asap. We heard that Home Depot had great prices on carpet but contracts out for installation, so you never know what you’re going to get so we were a little hesitant. After getting much higher quotes from some of the other well known carpet places, we decided saving a thousand dollars or more on what appeared to actually be nicer carpet is worth the risk and went back to Home Depot.
Well it turns out the risk was worth taking. We were scheduled to have Romanoff Renovations install our carpet. They showed up right on time and just needed a quick tour of the house before getting to work. I was a little worried they might hit snags installing new carpet in a hundred year old house, but three hours later our carpet was installed beautifully. Aside from the excellent installation, this has got to be the most comfortable carpet I have ever walked on and while we still have a lot to do, it really changed the feel of the inside of the house. Also, just fyi, splurge a little on the padding. You won’t regret it.”

“I’m so grateful to these guys, they saved our business! We are a beverage shop with a broken ice machine that wouldnt make ice, no one could fix it, we spent so much money on buying ice having folks come look. Just before I was about to drop another $3-4K on a new machine, found these guys, they came out next day, found the problem, ordered the parts right away, fixed the issue the next week, and now our machine is running smoothly making ice again. They are truly the best!”

“Selection isn't what it use to be, and at times it's hard to get someone to assist you. When you do get assistance it can range from fair to exceptional.
Perhaps they should identify key employees and have something like a peer mentoring and cross training on products deployed.
I know my last purchase was for a 2K Leveno on line instead of Best Buy.”
