I recently purchased a vintage featherweight sewing machine and we could not adjust it properly. The owner,David, was so accommodating and agreed to get my little sewing machine working again. He gave us an appointment for the next day!!! Now that's service, folks!!! I was able to buy featherweight items at a good value too that day. I just appreciate having this little (by appointment only) sewing shop near enough to my home. One day I might take his maintenance course on oiling and greasing my featherweight sewing machine. “Honestly, in the past, I have not been a fan of Best Buy. But, my last experience was very good. I had a new Sony Navigation screen installed into a 2011 Honda CRV. The two guys in the mechanic bay were absolutely awesome, just really great customer service. The ordering of parts and installation went smoothly and afterwards they walked me through the how-to on the unit. The reason brick & mortar stores exist is for the customer service, prices are not that great at best buy, as it is hard to compete with online sales that have low overhead. But this experience with the Best Buy installation crew was awesome!”

“A big shout out to Home Depot employee Geoffrey Dickerson!The spousal unit and I were looking for a front door handle and dead bolt set to be installed on our new front door. We had the model picked out, but it was slightly damaged. Geoff came along and was able to get the same model from 3 shelves up and in the back.End of story? Nope. It's just starting. He could have just said "here ya go" and left us at that. But he gave us good advice why the brand we chose was better than other's they carried (all price comparable). Function and security are big in our book and how he described the lock more than checked that off. As a former 30+ year industrial salesman, I really appreciate when people in a store know their inventory and products. That's good, old time sales craft that is so often lacking in on-line and big box stores these days.Thanks again, Geoff!!”

Big shout out to Erika at this Lowe's store for meeting us halfway, even though it was a manufacturer issue, and helping us to a solution that fixed the lawnmower. “As a new homeowner I'm here a lot and the employees are always very helpful and kind. Just today one lady went above and beyond helping me find an air pump for a flat wheel barrow wheel. And then the gentlemen (Jason?) checking everyone out at the pay kiosks was super gracious while simultaneously helping me look up my Lowe's rewards and a person next to me with a veterans discount, even with the man behind me who was being pretty verbally impatient. (even though there were literally three people total in line and he had to wait maybe 2 minutes...) That they are still able to be so zen after black Friday is a feat. I hope they get a holiday bonus.”

Wanted to save money and avoid a service call, after YouTube educating myself I brought the suspected culprit to the shop and they worked with me on making sure I had actually correctly diagnosed my dryer myself to make sure I didn't buy the wrong part. They were actually able to supply a used replacement component of the part right away, fixing my existing part and saving me a lot of money. I can't recommend them enough! They've earned my business for all future appliance needs. Hyper local, wonderful people.”
