“Two times just this week I have told a story about a lady named Patty. When this branch opened I worked at Starbucks and had just gone through a divorce. It was when the housing market crashed and we lost our house. So my credit was awful. This sweet lady came to my Starbucks each day to get her passion fruit lemonade and told me she could help me and to come see her. She was able to help me get a credit card and she helped me understand how to use it so my credit would build. She then helped me get a loan for my car. I am so thankful for you Patty. I want to help people the way you helped me!!!”

“I have had the absolute best experience with WSECU since I joined in 2018. My husband works for the DOD in Germany and we have lived there for over 25 years. We were home in Washington state and we had a flood in our basement. I was able to take out two small loans to help pay for some of the repairs. I also love the convenience of having the CoOp Branching services. I can walk into my credit union on the Military post here in Germany and pay my loans on time monthly without the hassle of snail mail. The most important thing for me is that all agents at Gesa credit union would take the time to respond and answer my questions in a timely manner, kept me posted through the process and reassured me when I had doubt and anxiety. They told me what I needed to get started, after I provided all that was needed, I received notice of loan approval. We began 8/27/25 and closed and wrapped up with cash in hand on 9/18/25. “I pay my car note from online bill pay from my bank, which is Chase, and it doesn't cost me a penny to electronically send funds from my account to Kitsap Credit Union. Yesterday, on the 17 of April 2025, due to refinancing my vehicle, my account number with KCU changed by 1 number. They never told me, and I discovered my payment would be late because it got rejected. So, I decided I would make this month's payment on my credit card. The credit union rep was not nice. He told me it would cost me an extra $15 if I made my payment over the phone versus going inside. That made no sense to me. Instead of the rep explaining to me why I would be charged an extra $15 for making the payment over the phone, he started to get very agitated because I didn't understand. How can I understand when I don't know why? If I have to pay an extra $15 for making a payment over the phone instead of going into one of their facilities to pay on my car note, I want to know why. His demeanor was so unprofessional. Maybe he was having a bad day, or he is like that with all who he encounters.”
