“The store is great, has lots of food products and a fairly good collection of wines. My main complaint of TJs in general is the packaging, lots of non-recyclabe plastic.”

“Great place to get nice fresh vegetables their produce selection is absolutely stunning almost everything is always fresh I've almost never had bad produce here. Also the employees tend to be very friendly and they have lots of other good things there too you can trust them to have high quality food that doesn't have weird chemicals that you can't pronounce in it.”

“I had the most pleasant shopping experience at this store today. The orderliness of the shelves and cleanliness of the store made shopping a delight. I mentioned this to the cashier as I was leaving and she said they have a new management team. I hate to shop and will sometimes order online but if my experiences are like the one today, I am more inclined to browse the aisles myself. Well done to the team!”

“Just visiting family in the area, but shopped at this Albertsons this morning and found it to be neat, clean, with a helpful and efficient staff, and a reasonably good product selection. Prices a little high, but overall a very good experience.”

“Almost all of the 1 gallon Yogurt drinks are not even 3/4th filled, when I asked at the billing station they said, they don't know. Very bad. Good that I observed. And didn't buy it. If the prices are high at least don't cheat the customers.”

“THE BEST HOT FOOD Chicken tenders are JUICY The employees are very helpful and friendly, engaged in communicating, NOT like some other places that just treat you like just another number..”

“Small Latin market with all the essentials! Their house made hot sauce (sold in a plastic container above butchers counter) is delicious and spicy! I bought some chorizo, cotija cheese, and hot sauce there. Definitely would come back to get ingredients that are hard to find in a typical grocery store!!”

“The only negative things I have to say are likely not the fault of the pharmacists, but they are as follows:•The one time I interacted with the automated answering machine system, it was simply incorrect about the information I requested (check status), evidenced by my subsequent call to a live pharmacist to double-check. Perhaps the automated answering machine system isn't updated as often as it needs to be.•They are often understaffed, and while I, personally, do not recall ever having a negative interaction with a pharmacist, I know the exacerbated situation may potentially increase the odds of an unpleasant interaction between them and patients.•Any other complaints I have are either mostly out of their control, like the occasionally long wait-times for prescriptions (see understaffed criticism), or *entirely* out of their control, like medication shortages. In spite of these points, I have no complaints about the quality of service at the pharmacy; they are competent and usually quite prompt! One particular pharmacist deserves a special mention for going above and beyond for me when they absolutely did not have to, despite their exhaustion; their compassion deserves five stars and will be the reason I continue returning to this pharmacy above all others.”

“I like their produce section for their fresh meat and seafood. Their breads and food section also has lot of interesting section. Don’t miss their pizza slice”

“Good selection on a wide variety of goods. I’m impressed that they have almost anything you’d need in daily life and recreation. I’ve purchased fishing gear, hardware items, groceries, and wine/beer. Their wine selection is more broad than I expected, with even several choices of Vognier as an example. Decent prices for the current times.”

“4 *s FOR EDDIE AT THE READY AND JAKE'S SAKEI stopped in the Redmond Overlake Safeway to get some groceries on March 1, 2023. I wish to give a special shout out to their Front Manager Jake for being of great assistance re: check out and post check out assistance. He did so in a most friendly and helpful manner. I also wish to give a shout out to Eddie at the bakery for his special assistance tonight.BUT APP = CRAP ANDSAFEWAY = SUBSTITUTION INSTITUTIONThe Safeway app does not tell shoppers where to find their merchandise (unlike the QFC app). And it also takes too long to load up even when using the store's free Wi-Fi. But at least you don't have to ask an employee for a Wi-Fi password. And also, in the recent past when I have ordered groceries via storepick-up out in the parking lot, I would continually get substitutions (not just at this Safeway, but at one other as well) even though I checked "no substitutions." (not the app's fault). Though the Safeway app is easier to use than the QFC app, unauthorized substitutions is one problem I did not have with QFC. COVID MOSTLY VEXXED ESP IF UR VAXXEDI notice nowadays that merchants and customers don't wear a mask in blue state Washington so much anymore. No big, since Covid seems to be on the wane, it's therefore much easier to just come inside the store and shop, both here and at QFC. This is also true just about anywhere else, until truly user friendly shopping apps become the norm, hopefully in time for the next pandemic! (which could be far worse) But since a friend of mine recently got infected, I for one won't count Covid down for the count just yet!SHELVING SHORTAGE AND SHORTSTAFFING?As for selection and prices, I would say Safeway is on par with QFC and other big box grocery stores. Today, I have not noticed any shortage on the shelves or any short staffing (all byproducts of Covid BTW) as the store was not very busy at the time I stopped in. BROKEN ENGLISH NEEDS REPAIROne thing I have noticed, though is that Safeway had at least two employees tonight who do not speak English well. I have not noticed this at either one of the QFC's that I have reviewed on Yelp. I have no problem with fluency with an accent. But broken English that one cannot understand, to the point one is forced to speak to another employee or manager, can become problematic. This is especially true if the store is busy.”

“We chose to have a custom-made mermaid-themed cake for my daughter, and we were absolutely thrilled with the cake and its decorations. Ruth, the cake artist, baker, and decorator, is truly remarkable in her craft. We have immense admiration for her work and are truly delighted with the outcome.”

“I LOVE this store. I've been shopping here for about a decade and it's one of my happy places. The staff are always helpful and in a good mood. I love Freddy's! BUT-I'm writing this review on-line because I don't know how to contact upper management. Today I was looking for a tinted lip balm in the make- up aisles. There is a make up product at a child's eye level labeled "Undercover Hoe". "Hoe" is slang for WHORE which refers to a prostitute or a loose woman. This is, in no universe, appropriate. It actually pissed me off. It appears the product is marketed to drag queens but it's label is derogatory towards women. Thanks in advance for removing this from the store.”

“JEFF! Not sure if last name, but we we came late night looking for some goat milk formula for our baby and he must have heard us asking for someone to unlock the closet they store the formula in. He stopped us as we were leaving and ended up helping us! Unfortunately they did not have the type we were looking for but he was a very kind person to offer to help us late at night. Jeff, if you see this. Thank you for your act of kindness. It means a lot to us! Management, please give him a shoutout :)”

“Good deals and have everything, just like any other supermarket the products are not everything to review but it's the whole experience going and shopping there, the people are nice and they smile a lot to me that's important, you can find everything with different brands and varieties but that's normal, it's never too busy to a point that you're waiting in line to pay and that's one of my top priorities.”

“This location is always kept very clean and well stocked. Staff are always friendly and happy to help with anything you may need. There is a very decent selection of items to choose from. The produce is very fresh and decently priced. The only drawback is that they seem to be understaffed as there is always a lack of cashiers, which can cause the checkout lines to take a while depending on the time of day you go”

“This remains one of my favorite grocery stores in the area. The location is super convenient to/from home and over the years it has remained consistent, clean, and offers excellent customer service. As the name suggests, the products here (especially produce) are above and beyond the quality that you might find at other places. The cut melon here is our favorite! For the last couple of years we have paid for QFC's Boost next-day grocery delivery membership. It's already reasonable at $59. However, when we renewed in October, we had a $20 off coupon so we waited for it to expire and then renewed at the lower price! Most of the time I prefer to run errands and pick out my own groceries. However, this service is very useful and has helped us out several times when I didn't have time to pick up groceries myself. I love the option to leave the groceries at the door without answering the door. Since they send regular texts giving status, this is such an easy way to know when they've been delivered and bring them in at our convenience. It's great to have the flexibility to keep changing your delivery order right up until the last minute. I'm so glad we have this QFC nearby and every staff person there is very kind, friendly, and helpful. You can tell they take pride in this store!”

“I've been coming to this pharmacy and this Bartells location for over a decade... I've never had an issue with the staff here. And let me tell ya, Giovanni in the pharmacy.. that kid is superb. From the moment he started there he's has hauled his rear around so fast with the most upbeat attitude. Always. And he always calls me by name, he's super sharp. Props to him. He is a keeper. He definitely could teach some of the recent new hires a thing or two. The two newest ladies behind the counter... massively judgy and full of attitude. NO thanks. ? Not what people need when they are looking for their medication needs.”

“I understand that before they had self check-out it was a little frustrating to wait for check-out. Now that they have opened self check-out it has alleviated a lot of wait time. I do appreciate them making that effort to accommodate. I do want to highlight that most of the time I walk in I am greeted with a smile and asked if I need assistance. I do mainly shop in the mornings, so others may have a different experience depending on time of day, so far it's been great for me. I especially wanted to give a shout-out to Vera(deli) and Mariko(bakery). These two employees are amazing! When I walk through the deli Vera always has a smile and willingness to help. Mariko made a unicorn cake for our daughter's birthday, it was so amazing that our friends didn't believe it was from Safeway; the decoration, the taste, everything was on point! Jesse and Trevor at the cashier are very friendly and helpful too. I know most of these reviews give a bad rating, however, you must look at the fact that they are trying to improve.”
