Safeway Pharmacy is a local pharmacy that has received mixed reviews from customers. While the pharmacy on Tourbit is praised as efficient, the one on George Washington Way is described as having less friendly staff. The Safeway bakery on Gage Boulevard, however, is commended for its ability to replicate a specific cake perfectly, making a customer's friend's birthday celebration a success.
The pharmacy team is described as outstanding, cherished neighbors who work hard to deliver an excellent product despite being overworked and understaffed. Customers have expressed admiration for the staff's dedication, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic, when they have had to handle increased demand for vaccinations and educate the public. The staff is praised for their positive attitude and for treating everyone with equal worth, even when they seem to be constantly rushing to get tasks done.
An employee, don’t recall her name right now unfortunately, went way above and beyond to help us get a med filled, really appreciated it!

I have appreciated the staff (leaving name out for privacy) patiently and persistently working through issues with my insurance. The pharmacists have been good at explaining things. I’ve experienced very good customer service even when they are busy going between drive-thru and in-store. Thank you!

Pharmacy staff are very busy yet kind and patient. Don’t expect your meds instantly when you live in an area with nearly 400k people…
