“Island Lumber is an institution and a gem in our community. They are one of the few remaining hardware business where there’s healthy group of employees who seriously know what they are talking about, a rarity, and have done what you’re doing. I routinely get and rely on great advice. Their lumber yard is well-stocked, well-staffed and rapid. Their prices fairly reflect the costs of doing business in a place where everything comes in by ferry. The expertise is priceless. Bring your dog. She needs a treat.”

“We love our local running store! We bought a pair of running shoes for my 14 year old son that after a few runs unfortunately gave him blisters. We brought the shoes back looking for advice on how to heal the blister. Both the sales associate (Isaac) and owner (Lori) took time to try and figure out why the shoes had given my son blisters. After examing the shoes and asking my son questions, it was determined that he was getting a new pair of shoes. I really appreciated the time, patience and kindness Lori and Isaac put into talking to my son and fitting him for new shoes.”
