“Fantastic Talking to the Owner, and the manager there! Great Customer Service and gave me an fair deal for an bunch of Hot Wheels. I also know an Co-worker there to who sometimes visits my work place. Was glad doing business with an awesome place such as Happy 8 Collectibles. A+++ ☺️”
“I have bought a few trains, rolling stock and accessories from here. This is a really great place and great people i love coming here, also Tom and his coworker are extremely helpful and good people!”
“Loved this store when I was a kid back in the mid 90s. Tons of NOS toy cars, model kids, and train supplies that you couldn't find anywhere else. Very sad to see they're closing. Not too many old school brick-and-mortar hobby shops around anymore. Went there recently to check out the closing sale and got some incredible deals on some NOS 1/64 scale cars from the early 80s. This store will defiantly be missed.”
“Where have you (Hobby Town) been? I was headed to the Aldis and discovered this traditional hobby shop next door! The best STEM education for all types of learners is building things as youth. Models, erector-type sets, science experiments, and popular characters are
available for all ages. Not much in model trains or slot cars, but there is something about putting a plastic model together, following instructions, and developing patience for a longer term outcome. Quite a contrast for child developers (parents) to the chaotic and disconcordant video gaming that reinforces immediate gratificate through exploiting others' work and creating no lasting legacy except impatient anxiety, morbid obesity, and increased childhood lifestyle diseases. Buy or build a model with your child and reap the benefits!”
“Best comic book store in the area hands down. Staff is always incredibly friendly and ready to answer questions. Gundam selection is also quite good for the area”
“Always surprised what your going to walk out with. Like Free Cat butt magnets?? or Free pointer pen to drive the kitty crazy?. Love the promos. Have loved American Science and surplus for years with my husband and son's, now Grown men. 25 years later and you can still spend at least an hour in. ?❤️”
“Didn’t have what I needed ( 19.2v)nicd battery w/charger
But if anyone knows of whom has one in hand ? please let me know
Thanks the the Help ✌️?”
“Purchased suede and a belt kit. I wear the belt from the kit. Suede is great. I purchased polyester yarn and wool yarn. I made a basket with some of the polyester yarn. Photos of polyester yarn crocheted white clothesline for a basket. I used Hobby Lobby gold yarn for convertible mitts, mittens extra warmth in winter with a glove or mitten sewed on my coat with sewing thread.”
“Can't recommend this place enough. Tom is the most genuinely friendly guy I've met, and made it really easy to get into the hobby. I tell my friends who are thinking of getting into Warhammer to visit here and all their questions will be answered.”
“The new space is just the best. Lots of room, huge tables and banners for tcg/rpg/wargame events. At least 3 really big and very clean ♿️ friendly bathrooms. If you liked the old store in the same mall, you'll love the new space.”

“An absolute gem of a shop, with seemingly the most random combination of interests. Love visiting this store with my aunt--I, an avid collector of coins, and her, a devoted quilter.
I have also seen the owners at a couple of coin shows in Wisconsin and Illinois, and they always have a nice selection and are just as eager to help as they are in the store.”
“Staff is friendly and incredibly helpful. I enjoy their selection of coin albums and supplies especially, although I have found a number of great coins for my type albums as well. There is always something fun to look at here.”
“love love love this place :)) been going since it was located on the lower level, so cool to see the hidden gem turn into a well loved safe place for nerds like me ! all the staff is so sweet and i have good conversations every time im in there, always recommend to my friends !!”

“I needed dart supplies so where else would I go? Ha. They have cool accessories like a laser line marker and an overhead light kit in addition to other things. The gentleman working is genuinely kind. Shop small!”
“Good sales, able 2 pull up a coupon w my charged coupon and that generated additional rewards. I could have saved more had I ordered online but I like the in store experience. Ppl used to come in for classes, mabie busier on evening & wknds?”

“Incredible variety of products. You have to walk all around the store to see what they to offer. Don't forget the fantastic framing department. They're very creative and professional.”
“Jeff is great. Immediate initial response, texted photos and received a time/date to bring items in person for him to purchase. Fair and transparent price. Happy”
“Absolutely my favorite store on earth. Im a 42 year old man that acts like I’m a kid in a candy shop when in this place. Very helpful and knowledgeable guys. I consider them friends. It’s always a pleasure to stop in.”
“As good as competitor HOBBY LOBBY...and that is indeed GOOD. Everything you need to get back your humanity from the rat race...arts crafts fabrics hobbies creative tool flowers beauty...enjoy LIFE”
“I came to return and purchase some things. I was adamant I purchased something there but I must have purchased it els where. The man behind the register was so kind and the woman manager was very kind too. They didn’t belittle me or make me feel like I was putting them out of their way. I really appreciate customer service like that! Ty:) (I was in there today 12/30/25 and left like 15 minutes ago 7:02pm. I hope those employees get recognized for their kind customer service :)) will be back… and to THAT specific Michaels bc of the employees there:)”
“Owner was extremely friendly. Did end up finding basically exactly what I was hoping to find so I was surprised on that however be warned the space is very very tight and some areas you can’t physically get to due to random stuff blocking areas. Might not be for everyone but was an interesting experience to say the least”
“What a wonderful neighborhood game store! The staff are very friendly and helpful, great selection of merch, and the prices are more than reasonable. If I could give it six stars, I would.”
“It is one of the few/last community card shop stores in Milwaukee. I enjoyed meeting people talking about the hobby and talking to Jeff about history of the cards. I am lucky to have found it. Prices are very reasonable and he always gives you a good deal”
