I went into the store searching for a new muzzle for my adult German Shepherd--the muzzle I had was plastic and several pieces had snapped, and was no longer safe for my boy to wear. My GS only wears a muzzle when he plays with his 25" horseman rubber ball! He likes to bite it and they pop! We are on ball 6 out of 4 years.I walked into the Mounds and was immediately greeted with a Welcome to Mounds and a huge smile by the cashier Jack K. I asked him where the muzzles were located and he said, in front of my register. Cool. Thank you, I said.However, muzzles are very different today than they were 5 years ago! Jack saw me struggling with which one to go with, and he called someone over to assist me; without me asking for help! It was Awesome! I did not catch the lady's name that assisted me, but she was VERY Helpful!I ended up purchasing a cloth muzzle, and to be honest, I believe it works better than the full mouth plastic muzzle I had! Again, I am only using it for playtime with a particular ball.Muzzles are great for protecting the dog and other people and dogs if the dog is anxious, unsure, or aggressive! It just needs to be fitted properly and the dog must be conditioned to the muzzle. Same thing with any training devices!Anyway, my experience at Mounds in Janesville, WI was very pleasant and awesome! I've been going to this Mounds since 2006, and have always had a good experience. But yesterday, Sat. March 3, 2024, was exceptional!Thank you to the 2 people that assisted me and Ace!

8208 E County Rd Mm, JanesvilleDon’t go to anyone else. Seriously. You will save money and actually get the best service. Keith is awesome, kind and will educate you on this fence. We had him install last year. Works great. But, beyond that, he is responsive and really cares. We needed to add fencing, due to my dog loving to eat rocks in an area with gravel. He came out, (quickly!) and added fencing. At a VERY reasonable price. When I called him today, asking for advice because my dog is sad and angry about the new fence around rocks. Well, he gave me excellent advice. He educated me about what to do. This is what we all talk about “service “. He cares and I can’t say enough “Thank you Keith!”Don’t waste your time on big name brands. Just go to him. He loves animals, understands them, and will not hesitate to help anyone. Thanks Keith.

3113 E McCormick Dr, JanesvilleEveryone is very friendly and quick to help. Unfortunately we had to bring our cat in due to her not eating or drinking and throwing up. We brought her in twice with no positive results. We finally ended up at UW where they found a linear foreign body (string) which involved 75% of her intestines. We could have lost our baby because the vet here did not think that the clumping of our cats intestines was weird. We had the X-rays from badger sent there and their vets immediately knew what was wrong and she was taken to emergency surgery. I am thankful for the nice staff but we could have lost our fur child. Not overly impressed with emergency care but will bring her back for check ups when needed due to location.

After reaching out to a few trainers, I chose to work with John because of his calm and confident presence, his clear knowledge, and his use of positive reinforcement methods.
John didn’t just train my dog, he trained me as the owner. He gave me the tools, guidance, and confidence to continue the training. We realized that the more we practiced the techniques during the week, the more progress we saw. While training requires consistency and effort, John provided us with a strong foundation and realistic strategies that we’ll carry for a lifetime.
Even though I began training during an especially busy season of life, John’s approach was practical and supportive, and the impact has been invaluable. The parking lot was nearly full @ 6 PM, and the bar & all tables were occupied. But a young lady customer invited us to separate the two tables she had grabbed to share with a couple of late-arriving friends, so we gladly took up her offer. Atmosphere was classic neighborhood tavern, but the conversational noise level & the sports telecast volume were a lower than I expected (a plus). Our table server Brittany took our drink & meal orders, then we waited 20-25 minutes before our food was delivered. My bratwurst & my wife's Chicago Dawg were mediocre but filling, and we were glad we got in & out before the weekly trivia event got started. Barkley's seemed like a good joint for locals to hang out together for a drink & apps, but the food we had would not encourage us to return.

4700 S County Rd G, JanesvilleTook our Calvin here to get him neutered, long acting pain meds, exam, vaccinated, ears cleaned, and a mani/pedi. I think the total cost for everything was $109/$110 and the care he received was amazing so needless to say we’ll be taking the rest of our cats here for their routine exams/vaccinations because the last place I had to take my rescued cats to wanted nearly $300 just for routine tests/an exam. No shots/meds/spay/neuter and that was IF they didn’t find anything wrong on just one cat.They must’ve gave him the good stuff because I’ve literally never seen him this relaxed before, once the initial high wore off. He did get really hyperactive around 9/10pm and started SCREAMING bloody murder because he was higher than giraffe balls. But he’s calmed down significantly now. (Yes he was dressed as a shrimp)So yeah if you need an affordable vet clinic please take your pets here (:
