“One of the most unique, character-filled places I've ever stayed. They nailed the balance of old world feel but still clean and warm. Staff was friendly, parking easy, great neighborhood. Only potential downside is the bar sometimes has live music that you can hear clearly in the hotel rooms so call ahead if you need a quiet evening.”

“Our family stayed at this Hampton Inn while on a ski trip in Wisconsin. The staff does an excellent job. David at the front desk was very personable and helpful. There was a large youth sports group staying at the hotel, with many demands and he was professional and worked very hard to make the guests happy. Bryanna (sp?) was very helpful trying to help with my multiple room reservations and special requests.”

“This is the coolest place I’ve ever stayed in. I’m here for three weeks and I’m in the long-term stay where they have a kitchen stove, dishwasher coffee pot. And if you need a crockpot blender or any of that type of stuff, I lend it to you”
“Perfect!! What a pleasure to stay here!! Off the main road but within five minutes of the West Towne Mall and many restaurants. From the staff, the cleanliness and comforts of the room, the cooked to order breakfast of pancakes or French toast or perfectly cooked over easy eggs ready within minutes! with pan fried potatoes bacon or sausage is special along with strong black coffee! Thankyou!”
“We adored the hospitality from Terri at The Post. She had exceptional service, and she made our trip that much better. Check-in with the male staff on 02/21 was my only issue. Not sure if he doesn’t respect women or looks down upon but, nothing good to say about who checked me in. He almost had me double pay my room. He never got back in communication with me— he only randomly saw us on the elevator and said “oh I was “good”. We booked a capital suite. I may have a southern accent but am well educated. He needs diversity training. He also kept asking if I was the only adult, embarrassing—yes sir, 36 female and this was my one break from tax season to come get away with my daughter.”
“I’m a repeat customer at this Hampton Inn and it is perfect for a local base when visiting relatives. Beds are comfortable, pillows are great, location is convenient. But really it’s the staff that makes me keep choosing this hotel—special recognition for the very kind and capable Katherine at the front desk!”

“We knew that campus would be sleepy during the summer but the Union Hotel was pretty much closed during a July stay. The restaurants that were open at all and even the bowling alley / pool tables were closing at very early hours. It was a healthy walk to any shops or restaurants from here but would be great if you were in town for a football game. Room was very clean and had modern Madison decor. It was pricey in the off season so I can't imagine what the rates are during the typical school year. The summer official campus tours leave from here so well worth it for visiting families with potential students.”
“I've had to stay here on several occasions for work trips. I always get friendly service and the rooms are always well kept and feel fresh. There is a pool and a gym as well, along with ample parking all the way around the building. They do not serve breakfast, but there is a restaurant in the building that is a convenient option if you don't wish to go to any of the nearby dining choices. It is located right off the interstate, near the Madison airport as well as a few minutes from downtown Madison. It's a solid choice for a stay, and I wouldn't hesitate to stay again in the future.”

She went out of her way to make sure my friends and I have everything we needed...even some tools to work on a motorcycle. Breakfast was delicious and our server was excellent. They truly deserve more than 5 stars. Can't wait to come back in the fall.”

“I enjoyed it, though it wasn't that enjoyable. It was good,but what I am going to say is that it was good ? it was pretty yummy, the McDonalds food from the mickdonold s in the near city San Jose California which is kinda of far from me but it was. It's was I was good feeling at on room 843? 843 wait no it was 843 not ??”
“I've stayed at this location a few times before & never had an issue. Until today It was an half hour before my check out & from my cellphone I call front desk & no answer. I called a few more times after & no answer. Then I used the landline in the room. Again no answer, called again finally someone picked up 5 minutes before 11am. I tried requesting to have my check out time extended at least another 30min to an hour. The Customer Serv Rep. suggested that either go online or go downstairs to rebook the room. Being that I made my reservation via 3rd party app that extending my check out time is not an option. So basically the motel can accept the payment from the 3rd party apps but the customer looses any amenities/services if they do.
Again like I said never had an issue and workers are nice. But this situation of calling números of times and then to receive the answer I received through me a loop. Anyhow have a good one.”
“I stayed here for one night a couple of weeks ago. I think it’s a quaint little hotel, and overall I had a pleasant experience.
Before booking, I saw the mixed reviews, so I went in cautiously—I brought my own towel, soap, shampoo, and conditioner just in case. It turned out that most of that wasn’t necessary: The bathroom had clean towels, soap, body wash, and shampoo (though no conditioner).
When I first arrived, there was a sign on the front door saying to call a phone number for check-in, which was a bit confusing at first—I later found out that only applies after hours when the door is locked. The staff I interacted with were friendly and helpful once I got inside.
It looked like the hotel was wrapping up some renovations. The pool was out of service, but that didn’t bother me since I hadn’t planned to swim. My room was clean and included a microwave and mini-fridge, which is always nice to have (I've been to far more expensive hotels that didn't even have those). I also appreciated the clearly-marked envelope for leaving a housekeeping tip—I wish more hotels did that.
The free breakfast was very minimal. There was even a sign in the breakfast area that said something along the lines of, “Be our guest, but don’t expect much,” which I found both amusing and a little unprofessional.
All in all, the Valued Stay Aloha is a modest but decent place to stay for a night or two, especially if you manage your expectations.”
“Excellent service! I have stayed at this hotel for a total of 7 nights across 2 business trips to Epic. The family who operates this hotel is very kind, friendly, and hospitable, perfect for running a hotel. They're friendly, kind, and helpful from check-in, throughout the stay, and beyond check-out. They kindly pick you up and drop you off at both the Madison Airport and Epic, complimentary for hotel guests. The rooms are comfortable, clean, and quiet at a very reasonable nightly rate. Overall, I had two great experiences at this hotel and will gladly return again the next time I need to visit Epic.”

“Where do I begin!? This little motel seems like ordinary on the outside and you may assume another shoddy motel, but honestly it’s newly renovated, the staff is spectacular and I’ve never had an experience like this where I’ve felt like home at a place away! This is probably the best service I’ve ever had and will be the ONLY hotel/motel I’d recommend or prefer here in Madison area!”
“The only problem we had is our room, spelt like smoke not sure if people were smoking in there prior to our arrival but we will let the front desk. People know otherwise everything was amazing. We will be staying there again.”
“I’m primarily writing this review because of one of the customer service people CJ. His customer service went above & beyond exceptional. I had a large group of 9 people, many of whom are very challenging in their own way. CJ didn’t flinch. Just stayed professional, patient & helpful the entire time.
Please give him a raise because I will be trying to poach him, to have him work at my company at the drop of a hat if can. No kidding the kind of customer service that you remember. Excellent.”

All of the staff were very accommodating, pleasant, able to assist with our needs (and those dang cookies my partner loved, they were so so so good and John made us a special plate) . We will be staying here every 4 months or so. Loved it x1,000,000,00!!”
