Bristol Veterinary Service
26900 75th St, SalemI highly recommend going to Bristol Veterinary Service, especially for exotic animals. My rat was misdiagnosed at an ER vet and Bristol Vet was able to squeeze me in and take care of the real issue, and he is now better than ever! They treat animals as if they are their own! Receptionists, Doctors, and Vet Techs are all amazing and respectful and truly care!

Harris Pet Hospital Sc: Hatcher Rosie DVM
24424 75th St, SalemHarris Pet Hospital has some awesome vets. Dr Doug and Dr Hatcher saved my dog. She'd been vomiting for 1/2 the day then it got bloody. I was grateful they were able to get her in within 2 hours of my call. I had to go to work, so my daughter brought my dog in. Dr Doug called me at work and explained there was a blockage and what my options were and what he recommended. Dr Hatcher was ending her shift, but offered to stay for the surgery. Essentially, we had 2 amazing vets working on my dog. I received several follow up calls and they promptly returned my calls when I had questions. I could tell by their voices on the phone, that both doctors truly cared about my fur child. Thank you Dr Doug & Dr Hatcher!

Westosha Veterinary Hospital
26851 75th St, SalemWe've been bringing our two pups here for about 6 months now for shots, checkups and spay/neuter. We recently had an issue with one of our pups as she got stung by a bee and had a puffy face/eyes. I called and they said to bring her in right away and were willing to look at her. After some observation and treatment, I was able to take her home and all is OK. Overall - everyone here is very nice and enthusiastic about seeing our dogs and taking care of them. We are very confident in their knowledge and ability to treat our dogs now and into the future. Thanks!

Biggie Paws Rescue Inc
8348 Antioch Rd, SalemWe rescued our dog (a female) in January 2024. I was extremely impressed with Biggie's thorough and knowledgeable care for animals. Our dog was a puppy and was placed with one of their volunteers who cared for her in her home while awaiting adoption. The foster Mom crate trained her, taught her no, potty trained her (as much as you can at that age) and socialized her with people, children, and other dogs. The dog was clearly also showered with love (and toys!). She also of course had the Grooming and vet care she needed and was up to date on shots. They got back to us quite quickly after our application was submitted. We did a briefer phone interview and then met the dog in person. The adoption coordinator, Jill, clearly had the dog's best interests in mind. She was transparent about the process (e.g. how long it might take, the fact that there were other applicants, etc.) and things like a possible health issue (the dog is fine but does have a sensitive stomach) the fact that they suspected breed but couldn't be sure, her chewing due to teething, and the fact that she was peeing consistently on potty pads at her house, but that might not mean she would keep it up at ours. My only surprise was that I didn't realize when I applied that they adopted out animals that has been transported from another location (our was found in (TX), but they talked about having quarantined her for an appropriate amount of time and showed us her vet records demonstrating she was in good health. The last step was a home visit and she let me know ahead of time what she needed to see (e.g. crate) and which supplies she would be bringing. She coordinated with me a lot so I would be prepared (helping me keep her food brand consistent) for this dog's needs. They also brought food, a collar, a bed, and quite a few toys. I really couldn't have asked for a better experience or anyone better to care for our puppy before we got her.
