“I'm so impressed by the food pantry and employees here. I've used it a couple times, and they are organized and friendly. They have options for pre-made meals, pantry items and fresh produce. It's a great resource for the community when people are struggling.”
“CCR is wonderful to work with. The case managers are so responsive and helpful; I have never not been able to get in touch when I needed assistance or just an ear to listen. They work really hard to match foster parents with the right children, and have both the foster parent and kids' best interests at heart.”

“Hard to communicate. The space seems to allow you to hear neighboring round tables than conversations at your own round table. But great place to go for community meals.”
“A layed back place to work remotely plus has a great community that is very welcoming. Pancakes on Mondays to help get you motivated for the week. Inspiring art on the walls that help to keep your creative juices flowing.”
“We adopted two beautiful, adorable kittens named Oliver and June from here. The adoption process went very fast and smoothly. Their foster mom, Bridget, was very sweet and receptive to answering any questions we had; we could really see that these two kittens were well cared for by both Bridget and the organization. Highly recommend.”
“My recent experience with this store was a very good one. What made this experience so memorable was the interaction I had with Ms. Ellen. Ms. Ellen has a very calm personality which is an excellent skill given the chaos you’ll experience with the management team.In my experience, I felt like I was chasing after answers but no one knows what’s going on. Ms. Ellen on the other hand, looked at the situation, and calmly took control. Many thanks to her and other employees like this.”
“The staff is wonderful to work with. I enjoy being a part of a group that strives to prevent and alleviate human suffering in the face of emergencies by empowering the mobilization of volunteers and being a generous donor.”
“Fantastic nature center that cares so deeply for the land and people. They model Aldo's land ethic and have phenomenal programming for all ages. The trails are well maintained and there is a variety of ecosystems. This is such a treasure in the Madison area.I always enjoy how friendly and caring the staff are and their passion and enthusiasm for what they do is so obvious.”

“Great place to enjoy a free meal, and the staff is very friendly. Please respect this place. It is one of the last free and open places that anyone can go and enjoy something like this.”
“I recently went here with one of my friends who is losing her vision. The entire staff is super amazing and they have a really cool old building. As my friend had questions about her cell phone, we met with Jim, the computer guy. He was super helpful and has a great sense of humor. My friend was initially really hesitant about coming here. Jim's easy going personality and the comfortable method he used to convey knowledge helped her relax and get the information she needed. I wish everyone was as knowledgeable and caring as Jim was during this appointment. She can now read my text messages thanks to the information Jim provided. The Council also has a great store full of terrific items which can help people who are losing vision. The store guy was Greg and he gave us a tour of all the products and was full of answers when my friend had questions. He even told us about a couple of items they could special order if necessary. Again, he was easy going and conveyed what he knew in a thoughtful and respectful manner. I can't say enough positive things about this organization. They are really good people who have a ton of knowledge to assist people who are losing sight. I highly recommend checking them out if you or someone in your life is in need of their services.”
“This place helps out people in a transition for housing. It's not the best place in the world of course. But again it helps out a lot of people what a wonderful volunteer staff”
“I took my daughter to shop at the store. Very clean & organized with nice store employees to help with suggestions.I needed to use the bathroom, so I picked up key with boomerang attached to it.?”
“They have very unique gift shop which has super cool items, ive all seen one of the workers hand make a crow detailed bird house ? ? ???. Love yall hope yall are a having a fantastic day”
“Great place to find great deals! You never know what has been donated and what treasure you may find. One of my favorite Madison stops! Plus Habitat for Humanity Reuse Center is right next door!!”
“Christine Seeley from this organization went above and beyond with my last minute reservation of glow in the dark event in Mendota Lake. Great organization with great goals.”
“We held my 7 year old's birthday party at the Arts Center and had a fantastic experience. They designed a custom art activity based on my child's interests and age. The instructor was fantastic leading the kids through the activity (and keeping my lone 4year old busy). Parents were able to drop off their kids and get an 1 to 1 1/2 to themselves, and the Center even provided a small gift bag for my child.Best of all was the way they handled a the eventual rescheduling of our party due to weather. When a snow storm was predicted, we kept in close communication about if we would need to reschedule the party and they were very flexible in helping us find a new date and time for her party.I can't recommend Monroe St. Arts Center enough!”
“Nice clean store. Easy to spot. Ample parking with easy access from road.Inventory was good. Items were clean. Prices were in line with other St Vincent de Paul stores.Plenty of shopping carts available. Cashiers were ready, waiting and personable.”
“I've worked here twice - once as a home support worker and once as a supervisor. Every gig has it's ups and downs, but I truly loved my tenure there. The agency deeply cares about the community they serve, and about the staff they employ. I am proud to be associated with them.”
“Goodwill Industries does SO MUCH MORE for the entire community than I think most people are aware of! With the deepest gratitude, I've received assistance with my Federal taxes from the wisest (and kindest) accountant who volunteers his time and knowledge to those who 1. qualify based on income or disability, and 2. (like myself) know absolutely nothing about the tax laws and requirements to do them correctly. This accountant gets 10 stars from me, and so does the most giving world-wide organization there is, Goodwill!”
“The center houses many important services that help people who live in Madison and also around the country. The LBGT books to prisoners program sends much needed reading material all over the country to help enrich the lives through reading and education. The Tenet resource center not only is a valuable source of local housing but an advocacy group who defends the rights of both tenets and landlords.”
“Love the Wauakee store. Always clean and organized. Items are always changing. I buy something everytime I go. Prices are always very reasonable. Also, love that you can donate items 7 days a week during open hours. They make it so easy to donate by letting you drive right up and then they help you unload your items. Did i mention how much i love this store!!”
