“I like Kohls. Wide selection of most everything clothes. I like the kitchen supplies as well. Generally well stocked and staffed. Customer service is a little janky. It’s almost like they just change the rules on Kohls cash to see if they can make you mad.”
“I recently stopped by Kohl’s in Hoover to return some Amazon items and spent a little time walking through the store afterward. The store was clean, well-organized, and stocked with a great selection of merchandise.
What surprised me most was how few people were shopping. For such a large store, it felt unusually quiet, and it made me wonder how brick-and-mortar retailers are competing in today’s environment. The merchandise was nice, but some of the pricing seemed a bit higher than I expected.
That said, the store was pleasant to shop in, easy to navigate, and the return process was quick and hassle-free. Overall, a good experience and a solid place to shop, especially if you’re already stopping in for an Amazon return.

“I had a great experience shopping at HomeGoods. The shelves were very clean, neat, and well-organized, which made it easy to browse and find what I was looking for. The store had a welcoming atmosphere, and everything looked well maintained. The staff was friendly, helpful, and quick to answer questions or assist when needed. The cashiers were also very efficient, keeping the checkout line moving quickly while still being polite and professional. Overall, it was a smooth and enjoyable shopping experience, and I’ll definitely be coming back.”
“Visited the store on 11/25/25 to buy a perfume. The brunette associate who helped me was amazing. The stars are for her. I couldn't decide between 3 scents. I finally decided on a gift set but she was nice enough to give me 2 samples and asked me to return. I purchased le parfum by jimmy choo, and love it. When checking out another association helped me (#4502). I placed the samples inside each other and tucked the. under a ribbon on the gift box (the perfume and lotion came in) When i got home 1 was missing. I could not believe #4502 would take it but she did. What a shame to have such a great experience ruined over a sample.”

“Love this TJMaxx! I always find cute clothes and other miscellaneous items. It can get crowded around the holidays but normally it is fine. Parking and getting into the plaza is kinda difficult but it’s worth it. Staff is always nice.”
“I've been shopping here since 2016. Always fantastic sales and great customer service. One time I was treated bad, I reported her because she was doing nothing ...standing, looking, giving dirty looks and never asking if I needed help. It shocked me because that's never happened....not in that store. Hopefully I will never have that happen again. (Best store in Bham.)”

“I like the store but HOLY *BLEEP* CLEAN THE BATHROOMS ?. Went there yesterday and me and the boyfriend had to use the bathroom, for some reason they switched up where the mens and womens restrooms were. No biggie, I walk in the womens and oh my gosh the smell of pee was pungent and disgusting. Urinal sitting there all stained and nasty looking. Larger stall had pieces of toilet seat cover on the seat. Other stall had piss all around and in the toilet. I immediately turned around and walked out without tinkling. I was not about to touch anything in there. Truly disgusting.”

“Just got some great customer service from this location. Big shout out to Gerald the assistant store manager. I got gas at the gas station the other day and forgot to print a copy of my receipt and upload it to my credit card app. This was a business expense so I needed the receipt. Gerald dug through hundreds of receipts for about 10 minutes to find it for me. This is what true Customer Service looks like. Thanks again.”

“Update as of 12/13/25: Nothing has changed. ?♀️It’s simply amazing to me that every time I visit a Ross location, the clothes are not organized and often end up on the floor. This isn’t a criticism, just an observation—I understand it might be due to a lack of staff to keep things tidy. It would be fantastic if they could get that under control. Despite this, after skimming through the merchandise, I still occasionally find a great deal!???”
“This store has been remodeled and updated in style. The entire store was super clean. All the shelves were fronted and every isle is labeled making things so easy to find!! I used to completely AVOID Walmart but the comfort & cleanliness makes me want to shop there more often again!!”
“I truly only have great things to say about this Walmart. Every visit is a great experience, whether I am shopping in store or using grocery pickup. The employees are phenomenal, especially the team members who load groceries. They are always kind, efficient, and helpful.
The store is always clean, tidy, organized, and easy to shop in. The recent renovation looks amazing, and I absolutely love the new layout. Everything just makes sense now and it is much easier to get in and out quickly. I especially appreciate that medicine is right near the entrance/exit, which is so helpful during flu season.
Prices are great, the produce is almost always fresh, and the bakery is amazing and so yummy. The kind young man who is usually at the self checkout is always quick to respond whenever you need help and makes the process smooth and stress free. Anytime I need assistance anywhere in the store, employees are quick to help and always have a positive attitude.
If I had one small wish, it would be for Walmart to accept Apple Pay in the future for added convenience, especially for those moments when you accidentally forget your wallet at home.
This location truly sets the standard for what a Walmart should be. Thank you to the entire team for consistently providing such a great shopping experience.”
“Ross is kinda hit or miss. You can find alot great deals sometimes but the workers can be very nasty at times. The sign said that the opened at 9:30 a.m. The lady said we don't open until 10. I don't care what the sign says. I work here but I ain't the manager. Nasty.”
“This Wal-Mart is the best in the magic city, enen better than the John Hawkins parkway one, and it's huge and we'll stocked and staffed.
Not 5 stars, because of the places Walmart has made extinct, and the selection in store has lessened markedly
