Aldi, Walmart, Lidl and Sam's Club Introduce 2025 Thanksgiving Deals

Thanksgiving dinner is getting cheaper this year as major retailers compete to offer families the most affordable holiday feast. Discount grocers and big-box stores are launching deals that feed 10 people for as little as $36. This marks a significant drop from last year's prices as companies respond to ongoing concerns about grocery inflation.

Lidl US is offering the most aggressive deal this season, pricing its complete Thanksgiving meal at just $36 - 20% less than its 2024 promotion. The bundle includes 21 items featuring a 14-pound Shady Brook Farms turkey at 25 cents per pound, plus all the traditional sides like stuffing mix, cranberry sauce, russet potatoes, and pie crust dough. Available from November 5 through November 26, shoppers must use Lidl's app to access the turkey discount. "With grocery prices continuing to be a challenge for families, we understand how vital great value is this holiday season," said Lidl US CEO Joel Rampoldt.

Walmart is featuring its annual Thanksgiving basket for under $40, available through December 25. The retail giant's deal includes over 20 national and private brand items, anchored by a Butterball turkey priced at 97 cents per pound - its lowest price since 2019. "We know every dollar and minute counts - which is why we are offering a low priced, one-click Thanksgiving Meal Basket featuring iconic brands like Butterball and Stove Top alongside trusted Walmart private brand items," said John Furner, president and CEO of Walmart U.S. First-time Pickup and Delivery customers can also score free express delivery, with orders arriving in as fast as one hour.

Aldi announced its Thanksgiving bundle on Instagram for $40, down from $47 in 2024.

The deal feeds 10 people and includes a 14-pound turkey plus ingredients for nine sides, from mac and cheese to pumpkin pie. Shoppers can purchase the individually marked items in-store or online through December 24.

Sam's Club is maintaining last year's sub-$100 price point while adding an additional side dish to its Member's Mark Thanksgiving Feast. The fully pre-cooked meal serves 10 people and can be ready in under two hours.

"This year's Thanksgiving feast was designed by and for our members," said Dr. Suzanne Jervis, senior director of consumer and sensory insights at Sam's Club. The offering was shaped by insights from over 50,000 Member's Mark Community participants and includes items like smoked turkey, Yukon Gold mashed potatoes, and a new harvest salad. Available starting November 1, members can order online or pick up via curbside, with Plus members enjoying $8 express delivery.
