Eagle Ridge Animal & Bird Hospital
2599 Runnel Dr, CoquitlamI recently moved to BC from Scottsdale AZ and was looking for a new vet for my animals. I Reached out on the community Facebook page for vets and after filtering through a couple recommendations chose Eagle Ridge because it is a AAHA hospital which is what my hospital in Scottsdale was. It seems like there is a lot of animal hospitals here but If I'm going to take my pet anywhere I want an animal hospital where I know my animal is getting the best treatment, regardless of cost. If I spend $$$$$ on my gym and getting my hair done the least I can do is spend the money on my pets. At least I know the quality is there and it always is with AAHA hospitals. I have had bad experiences at animal hospitals before where the receptionist with no credentials is assisting in surgery or they don't offer you all the treatment options available and have expected that kind of service from a vet clinic that is corporate or is not an AAHA clinic. Every time I have been at eagle ridge the staff have been very friendly and informative especially in helping me adapt to the new pet food, insurance for my pet, flea products etc which was stressful moving to a new country. I have seen two different vets one for my bunny, and one for my cats, and they were both very gentle with my animals and were personable. I felt that the transparency is there with this clinic and I know I can trust them with my animals care for years to come.

Our English bulldog, Winston, was our whole life and love and we wanted the best care for him. He unfortunately had a myriad of health and behavioural issues stemming from being attacked when he was 9 months and losing an eye. The frequent trips to the vet and surgery to remove his eye made him very aggressive with vet hospitals.
The staff at Como Lake were amazing. They kept detailed records of all his issues and we eventually worked out a perfect routine to medicate him and treat him safely and with the least amount of stress. We have used them for several years now and their attention to detail, their compassion, and their skill is top notch.
We have been so happy with their level of service and care for our boy. I know that you will be too. Shout outs to Dr. Doonie and Jessica for working so closely with me over the years. They have been incredible.

2710 Barnet Hwy #40, CoquitlamWe have been soooo happy with Leash Loft these last couple of years. We moved over when our Yellow Lab was not settling well at other places and was quite nervous. It took a little bit, but the staff is so friendly and welcoming and they have made her feel comfortable and loved. They have shown us how much they pay attention to the dogs by sharing small stories about her with us or even what other dogs she plays with. It has been the best place for her and we are so thankful for all the work the employees at the loft do!! Thank you for taking such good care of her!!

For me as a first time dog owner I was personally anxious about how my dog would do but the staff know what their talking about and help me relax. The webcams are a nice addition so I can see my dog having a fun time. Also having the grooming service is great since my dog won’t let us cut her nails our self. Dogtopia of Coquitlam have been an amazing help to our dog, her confidence is already better just from being there.

Wags 2 Whiskers - Dog Walking & Cat Sitting
1520 Como Lake Ave, CoquitlamWe just got back from a 2 week vacation & had Carole watch our fur babies - Tia our darling little dog - - Midnight our lovable cat - and our fish aquarium - I have no words to commend Carole on a job well done!! - not only is Wags 2 Whiskers reliable, affordable but your fur babies are not just taken care of they are tenderly loved by Carole. We think Tia is missing her today. Carole emailed us regularly while we were away making our holiday that much more enjoyable. Rocky went out of his way to assist Carole when Tia would not go to the bathroom, Rocky also took time out of his day to look at our vacuum cleaner as Carole was ensuring our place was spotless upon our return. We have hired other pet sitters in the past & our thoughts are that Wags 2 Whiskers is the best!! If you have a upcoming holiday and worried about the care of your fur babies Wags 2 Whiskers is highly recommended by both Russell & me.

The outside is unassuming, but once you step inside, there is tons of indoor dining spots, as well as outdoor seats for sunny days or if you have a pet. We came along with our baby in a stroller, there was enough space for it. The hostess was very accommodating and checked up with us constantly. We ordered the Bulgogi Beef Burrito and the Ham (Back Bacon) Benny, and for sides we did the potatoes for the Benny, and soup of the day (Mushroom) for the Burrito. 10/10 for the Bulgogi Beef Burrito, it was jam packed with beef, and egg, and also the wrap tasted like it was house made as well like a flaky-ish wrap. Would definitely go back for that burrito alone. The benny was tasty as well. The potatoes are extremely well made, crispy but not dry, and well seasoned.

Sat at the bar, the bartender was wonderful and very personable. The wait staff was apologetic for the delay in getting our food and had the bartender make us a lovely little beverage. Highly recommend the coconut margarerita while they still have them. The tortilla soup was very tasty but quite a good sized portion. Would go again!
