She was clearly busy and in the middle of her work when she saw my son standing there. She stopped everything she was doing, washed her hands and put on a pair of gloves to give my son the last free cookie of the day.
That’s really going the extra mile in my book.”

“I recently switched to PriceSmart from the Richmond Costco Pharmacy after being at Costco from the time that they first opened their pharmacy section. They were good in the early days, but their service completely plummeted in recent years, and I finally had enough of Costco’s abysmal treatment and unreliability. I made the switch to PriceSmart after doing a lot of research, and personally visiting about 10 different local pharmacies to make my assessments of where I wanted to do business.The Richmond (Ackroyd Road) PriceSmart Pharmacy is absolutely wonderful. Their dispensing fees are competitive, and their staff have thus far, after 3 months, been wonderful to deal with. There is rarely a wait of more than a couple of minutes, and almost never a line up, and I truly feel like a valued customer when I go there. I’ve never waited for my prescription after placing my order on their online renewal system, and I feel like this is the type of pharmacy where you can have an actual relationship with the people who are serving you. My only frustration is that I put up with Costco for as long as I did - they are beyond redemption. PriceSmart is wonderful and I could not be happier that I finally found a pharmacy that cares about people. Great work PriceSmart!”

The item I wanted was only available as a demo at this store and wasn't available online but they arranged for one from another store in short time (it also arrived when they said it would). It seemed a team effort, I dealt with 4 different people but I was never 'dumped' on someone else, they just brought in help/expertise as needed and there were no big delays waiting for responses. Surprising nowadays.”
