“Fantastic deli service at this location. Called with less than 48 hours notice and they pleasantly and gladly helped with three exceptional platters. To top that off the young man in the deli offered to carry them to my car. People at our function raved about the quality and presentation. Thank you Royal Oak you went above and beyond when cobble hill location would not.”

“This may be one of the smaller Red Barn locations on the island. Due to this fact, their selection is inevitably smaller. The parking situation is also not the most convenient, due to its proximity to a set of lights. A location that offers some convenience, but all things considered this is not one of the better Red Barn locations in the Victoria area.”
“I have had multiple exceptional customer service experiences with Jose. The first experience I had with Jose was at self checkout. I was blown away by how helpful, patient, and genuinely kind he was. Today, my 4 year old daughter knocked over our cart and items spilled all over the floor. Before I could even fully assess the situation, Jose saw what happened, came running over, and rectified the situation completely. Thank you for being so attentive and consistently going above and beyond, Jose!”

“Been shopping here for years even when they had a shop on Yates: place is amazing great selection of Korean foods from fresh to frozen! So many options and very good affordable prices; keeps me out of H Mart; support local family owned shops! I got help from the owner as I’m not Korean so I had a few questions; very helpful. Love this store and the products. Clean and organized store, lots of parking.

“The supermarket is big enough to have a good selection of products but not so big that it has long lineups so it's very quick to get through the checkout. Lots of parking of course. My only beef is that it takes coins to get a regular size shopping cart so I always end up using the small ones.”

Bakery hit or miss. Erratic quality for Birthday Cakes but it really varies depending who is working.

Parking can be an issue (as most parking in Sidney is). Frequently stop in for picnic staples when visiting Sidney for its awesome thrift store shopping.
Customer service is excellent. The store can get congested. There is good a selection of fresh seafood and a variety of ethnic groups specialties.
Again, parking lot is small and can be challenging for pedestrians as well as drivers. Otherwise, a good place :).”
“I enjoy M & M's foods, I've never had an issue with anythingI've bought there.
When I'm tired & don't feel like cooking, these meals are perfect. Pastas are great, chicken lasagna is one of my favourite's right now, it's packed with nice tender chicken.
The hors-d'oeuvre are very nice as well, meats are tender, desserts are tasty.
And the half baguettes are very good!”

“Save on as been 1 of my favorite grocery stores for a long time they did something for me when I lived in Parksville i won't ever forget they actually delivered a package of pork chops to my house when I got my pork chops home from the store and they were bad and I had planned a dinner party that night so they sent someone with a new package to my house immediately and no charge!
so ever since then I've liked shopping at Save-on their prices could be a little better but their specials are usually really good so shop the flier the staff is very friendly and helpful has been my experience also”
“I'm always impressed with Save on Foods Deli. They introduced Deli Daily specials which I really think it's making the Deli even better. I tried the 2 piece of pizza for 6 was really tasty. I will definitely buy from here the next time I'm in Save on Foods”
“Great store chain! We were travelling and stayed nearby for a few days, and this store was a lifesaver! The prices are pretty good and the products are awesome. Specifically, the meat is of unimaginable quality!!! We bought minced beef, and it was delicious; we could actually feel that it was different from the usual Vancouver store-bought minced beef. I Would definitely recommend it for anyone travelling through the area!”

“My wife & I visited the Save on Foods Pharmacy in Sidney BC today by appointment to get the RSV vaccine. We were looked after by Paul, who was outstanding. Not only did he review all our prescription meds against recent bloodwork/lab results, but he also advised on what vaccines we should consider to maintain protection and also for upcoming international travel. He was also awesome at slipping in the needle so smoothly that I wasn't sure he'd done the job ? Efficient, friendly, & knowledgeable....thanks Paul!”
