“The service here is absolutely unreal. The staff is super friendly, supportive, patient, and knowledgeable. I bought the Pro Staff 97 Classic here and had an amazing experience. This is officially my go-to spot for tennis. I’ll definitely be buying more rackets from here. If you’re not getting your tennis gear here, I don’t know what you’re doing.”

“Amazing Service! Highly recommended. Knowledgeable and attentive staff. Never felt pressured, i tried on 4 pairs before I found the right fit. The sales woman never made me feel like I was wasting her time. She listened to my concerns and offered me choices. I have never been served in a shoe store like this in my 50 plus years. Well done to the owner for training your staff so expertly. Seriously, thank you from the bottom of my feet:)”

“Thea was extremely patient and kind. She brought nearly all the models for me to try and really took the time to help. Unfortunately, my color wasn’t in stock, but she was still super helpful and professional throughout. Great experience thanks to her.”

“I came in to browse and hopefully buy a batting tee to use for pickleball (odd request). One employee quickly greeted me and helped pick the right one for my use case. When he checked the price and found it was much higher than the second option, he suggested a good workaround to use the larger, cheaper one. Unfortunately, it was too bulky for my situation. Instead of leaving it at that, he found me another option at a competitor store.

In the end, I didn’t buy anything but I wish I could have! Great service and selection, just not for my unusual case. I highly recommend as anyone’s first stop for sports equipment, especially hockey and baseball. Thanks!”

“Went in to buy some bearings, got a tutorial about how to care for bearings / wash them, while he installed them for free. Top notch service. Longboarder owned. This ain’t west49; this is a legitimately awesome part of the community. Give them your business and they’ll hook you up with exactly what you need.”

“I stopped into Patagonia’s Vancouver store on West 4th Avenue on a crisp weekend afternoon when I was thinking about updating my outdoor gear for fall. From the moment I walked in I could tell this place wasn’t just another clothing shop. The setup felt calm and spacious and the staff didn’t rush me at all while I browsed jackets, fleeces, and technical layers that are known for their quality and long life. Patagonia is a brand that focuses on durability and outdoor performance, and you can really feel that in the materials and fit of the gear they carry.”

“I've been coming here for a few years now. The staff are knowledgeable, which I appreciate. I find their collection to be very well curated. For me this means I know that in general the shoes, clothes, and gear are all good quality, and have been vetted for functional use (not just looking pretty). I also really appreciate that it is a smaller store, so I don't get overwhelmed by an excessive number of options.

They carry multiple sizes in what they do stock, so I'm able to try on shoes to find what works for me. (I'm so tired of going to big stores and never being able to actually try the options I'm looking for.) I will continue to come here and support this in-person local business because I really value being able to talk to someone knowledgeable as well as to see, touch, and try things. Thank you!”

“Peter, who's now there on Sundays, is very helpful and puts his clients first. Never feel like I'm being sold something for the sake of selling merch. We travel across town for that reason.”

“They had a grand sale going on when we went in November of 2023 $10 for travelers rolling backpack formerly $60; they have everything you need- & don't need L?L! They had 3x shirts for my hubby, tote bags, coffee mugs, photo frames, sweatshirts, hooded pull overs, beanies, scarves, mittens etc2 if you forgot to stash them in your luggage! We were in another tourist area & their pullovers were $80!! ?”

“A sports-themed thrift store that has a variety of affordable sports gear. Price-wise, this shop has really good deals but quality-wise, you can tell it's a thrift store as the items seem like they have been used thoroughly, especially the clothing items. Friendly staff too!”

“Great place to shop for new & used gear.
Danny was a G, with his wealth of snowboard knowledge that was easily absorbed by a noobie like myself. Will definitely come back to shop again!”

“I wanna say how pleased I am with the recent customer service I received thru the website! They made my day, and I'm a customer for life. Not mention the fabulous quality of their products. I do hope once the economy improves for all, that they'll consider offering a line of made in Canada items ✌️?? and many ?”

“Yesterday I had a problem with my return at Running room store on Robson.
When I did my purchase the assistant didn’t tell me that sales are like final sale and there is no refund except exchange or store credit.

So I explained my issue to the store manager Carlos and asked him to help me because I needed to refund me.

Carlos was very understanding, fast and professional.
He apologized for his colleague who didn’t tell me about sales items return policy and refunded me.

Carlos, thank you very much.”

“Went during early weekday afternoon and it was not busy. Staff was super attentive. Best prices for dumbbells in the lower mainland. Neoprene dumbbells are $0.60/lb and rubber hex dumbbells are $1.00/lb. Picked up pairs of 5lb and 10lb dumbbells and it came to $18 plus tax. Great price. Will visit again.”

“I dropped in the store today to grab some socks for a big hike and some T-shirts. I was greeted by Priya at the front door. After looking at a few things, she approached me and started making conversation. She is an excellent sales associate. She was knowledgeable, friendly, and super helpful. I ended up buying a bunch of stuff and left with a smile. She even convinced me to buy merino blend for my hike. Typically, I’ve been buying only hundred percent merino. I’m really excited for my next adventure and she was a big help and getting the right gear for that. Priya earned five stars for sure!!”

“Arc’teryx Kitsilano is a great store if you appreciate high-quality gear and knowledgeable staff. The space is well laid out, and it’s easy to browse without feeling rushed or crowded. The staff actually know the products and are happy to explain differences between materials, fits, and use cases, which makes a big difference given the price point. It’s a solid place to shop if you want something that’s built to last and performs well in Vancouver weather.”

“Lulu Lemon ? is a a really good active brand for women in the athletic department and just every day general wear. Although I must say that I defend Chip Wilson Collections because he is the owner and the maker of this company but also stuff being sold should go his way as he is the rightful person of Ownership. His collections were truly the best and also the most comfortable in Canada. I believe his products should be back on the shelves because from a female perspective his products were attractive, appealing and comfortable for woman who can actively move everyday.”

“I had an incredible experience at the Lululemon store out at west 4th , and it was largely thanks to one of the educators who helped me; couldn’t get his name but he was wearing a nice turban. From the moment he approached me, he was warm, confident, and genuinely attentive.

Shopping in always overwhelming but the staff really made the difference!

The rest of team were looking very keen with the customers they were helping.

Thank you!”

“Excellent e-bike service from Mark in the bike shop. This was an overdue full service job with several major parts needing replacement. He kept in touch during the process and went above and beyond. My bike has 10,000k on it and runs like new again. I trust Mark’s advice and will be back to him for my next service. Thank you!”
