Happy Tails Teeth Cleaning
4456 B W Saanich Rd, VictoriaWhat a great first experience! Our doggo is nervous by nature and the staff were patient and happy to meet her where she was at. The cleaning took less than 20 mins and all brown plaque was removed leaving Doggo with shining teeth. The service was affordable and they provided complementary nail trimming. I’ve raved to friends with dogs about our experience and now to the internet. Can’t say enough good things!

Royal Bay Dog Grooming - Victoria
3398 Sandpiper St, VictoriaJulia was amazing to work with. We had our 6 year old Pomeranian Spitz groomed by Julia and we were initially skeptical since our last groomer had shaved him after we specifically asked them not to. Max is also a rescue and is a bit worry of strangers; this this was our second time grooming him. We were thrilled after everything went great ? We highly recommend Julia, especially for your little Pomeranians ?

West Coast Sassy Cats
587 Stornoway Dr, VictoriaThis lady and her husband took really great care of the animals that were there and ours too. Definitely recommend if you have a cat that needs grooming to take yours here. We got a kitten and it turned into a miniature lion before we even knew what was going on. Turns out she's part norwegian forest cat and she looks like it lol. Two coats..I had no idea what to do. So now we have a cat that needs pretty frequent grooming. Well more than I've ever done in my life which is zero really. Nails clipped, the occasional rare bath if needed. But nothing like what our newest addition needs. So this place is a new place and probably frequent for us in the future.

Paw Space Pet Boutique
3995 Quadra St #107, VictoriaI am so impressed with how kind thoughtful thorough and truly humane Jess was with my little guy today. You really won't find anybody as thoughtful kind and caring for your dog as Jess is at Paw Space Pet Boutique.
This is one of the best professionals I've ever seen working with dogs. And I've had dogs now for over 10 years. She's extraordinarily thoughtful and kind. And very very gentle. She really truly cares about animals.
Great hair cut. Great work. Exceptional service.

Mucky Mutt Pet Salon
2250 Oak Bay Ave #105, VictoriaFive stars++! Very happy with my dog's experience at Mucky Mutt! For years I have needed to get my dog sedated to have his nails trimmed at the vet's (very expensive). But, yesterday (on only our second visit there), the staff at Mucky Mutt wanted to see if they could successfully trim them ... and they did! It took three of them to pet him, give him treats, and tell him what a good boy he was but they got it done without stressing my dog out. Thank you to all the kind and patient staff! <3

Fernwood Grooming
1413 Camosun St, VictoriaLesley always does a fantastic job with my Misiu's groom! Switched to Fernwood Grooming after having a few too many close calls with other groomers cutting my pomeranian's hair too short. Haven't looked back since and I'm always really happy with the work they've done.
He's a nervous guy, too, but I can tell when I pick him up that he's calmed down quite a bit. It helps that she gives him treats and he gets to spend time with her dogs, too. :)
The little bandana is always the sweetest touch.

VCA Canada Feltham Animal Hospital
4082 Shelbourne St, VictoriaWe’ve had mixed experiences at Feltham. We’ve been with them for 8 years now. Dr Houston is incredible. From what I’ve experienced, I wouldn’t recommend the other vets. Their care club plan is a great deal if you need to get your dog’s teeth cleaned. Comparing prices, they are the best price in town.

The Naughty Dogge, Monique Anstee
1633 Kangaroo Rd, VictoriaI’ve had the privilege of attending both the original Shadow Week and Shadow Week 2.0, and each time I’ve come away with a deeper understanding of dogs, myself, and the relationship between us.
What I enjoy most about this program is the philosophy of letting dogs truly be dogs—giving them freedom and space to be themselves instead of micromanaging or over-controlling their behaviours. It’s less about rigid management and more about understanding where your dog is at: when to simply let them be, when to step in with support, and when a correction is actually appropriate.
This program helped me approach dogs less as a math equation and more as individuals. It has shifted the way I think about training: I learned to pause, observe, and respond thoughtfully instead of trying to predict or control every outcome.
Another highlight is the community it creates. You’re surrounded by people who share the same passion, which makes it easy to bounce ideas around, ask questions without judgment, and deepen your understanding of why, how, and when to act with dogs.
The balance of hands-on training and observation is invaluable. Watching other dogs work through challenges, it pushed me to think outside the box and be more creative in my handling. This program has not only improved the way I interact with my own dogs, but also given me a clearer sense of what’s going on in their heads and what’s truly supportive versus unnecessary interference.
For anyone looking to expand their skills, gain perspective, and walk away with practical tools for real-life training, Monique’s Shadow Week is an incredible experience

761 Enterprise Crescent, VictoriaVery impressed with the whole experience. Reagan did a great job of passing on interesting information on their brewing and distilling process and kept it fun and engaging throughout. Sushi Time Express
735 Yates St #120, VictoriaIt's inside the little mall, so I don't think they get much traffic. Their ready-made sushi has been a lifesaver a couple times when I'm killing time downtown and don't want a full meal. The guy that works there is polite but maybe a bit pushy?
Very chill, calm atmosphere because the mall is so empty.

Sedona Restaurant & Lounge
2296 Cadboro Bay Rd, VictoriaI live in the neighborhood, and this place is outstanding. In a city where ‘good enough’ often earns a 4 star review, Sedona Restaurant & Lounge rises well above the rest. In my 12 years living in Victoria, I’ve never encountered this level of passion, care, and culinary expertise in a local restaurant. If you value quality, service and being treated like your visit truly matters, you’ll love it here. Quite simply, the only place in Victoria worthy of a Michelin star.

BeaverTails Victoria
602 Broughton St, VictoriaWe jumped at the chance to have some Poutine while in Canada! Came across BeaverTails and figured we’d give it a shot. Went from no line to a large line of people behind us in a matter of minutes. The young lady behind the counter was super pleasant and helpful. We got the traditional and both my boys, my husband and I all really enjoyed it! Only draw back was there are just 2 small tables and 4 chairs to sit in directly infront, but we were able to sit and eat when the previous family got up. Most everyone either walked and ate or stood next to the building while eating. Saw several college girls stop and grab poutine, a couple of other tourists who were on a food tour, another family with kids, and several people getting the beavertails. If I find myself in Victoria again I’ll definitely stop by for poutine again and to also try a beaver tail! Highly recommend you give it a try!
