107 South Main Street, CoupevillePenn Cove Veterinary Clinic is absolutely incredible. Compassionate, thorough, extremely efficient with timing, reasonable pricing and adaptable. They have SUCH good customer service, both for my fearful cats and myself, and I left feeling better than I ever have with a vet.. nearly to tears with gratitude and relief. I can’t express how pleased I am with their services. I’ve been to other vets on the island over the years and Penn Cove is BY FAR the best in all of the usual categories that we look for (kindness, quality, pricing*, timing, etc.). They also spoke to the science behind certain decisions/treatments, which I really appreciate!
*they had better prices than other vets I’ve used, aside from one other business that had roughly the same pricing by +/- $20 depending on service.

901 Grace Street Northwest, CoupevilleI led a yoga retreat on Whidbey and we brought our group of 12 here for our dinner out — one of the best choices we made for the whole trip!! I found it a bit tough to find a place that could accommodate a large group on the island but Oystercatcher nailed it and we are so grateful!
It was super easy to book and Maia was so helpful in planning our menu. We had just a few dietary restrictions and they were easily accommodated. Most importantly the service was wonderful and the food was DELICIOUS! We added on the dessert course which was spectacular. We all left very happy 😊 thank you Oystercatcher!! We’ll be back!

103 NW Coveland St, CoupevilleAbsolutely fantastic, especially if you’re gluten-free! We were blown away by how many gluten-free options they have, including a dedicated gluten-free fryer, which is such a huge deal for anyone with celiac or a serious gluten allergy.
The gluten-free fish and chips were excellent, the oysters were fresh and delicious, and everything was really reasonably priced for the quality.
My favorite, though, was the gluten-free tempura shrimp. I honestly can’t remember ever being able to order tempura shrimp gluten-free before, and it was fantastic.
Great food, fun casual atmosphere, and a place that actually makes eating gluten-free feel easy instead of limiting. I just wish this place were closer to home—we’d be regulars!

200 S Main St Ste b, CoupevilleWas super cool to several gluten free pastries available, even in the late afternoon. Had a very tasty GF peach muffin and oat milk mocha. The barista was also super friendly! A bunch of local goods sold here too, including a book series by a local author set around the island (looking forward to starting it!). Will be back by next time I take a little day trip.

The Restaurant at Captain Whidbey
2072 W Capt Whidbey Inn Rd, Coupeville10/10 recommend this place for dinner if you're in the area! The views are beautiful and the staff were all incredibly kind. I ordered the honey roasted duck breast and it was delicious! The website says that it is reservation only, but I didn't have a problem getting one!
