Everyone here is friendly, helpful, and very knowledgeable about their inventory. It's also great that you can rent time in the dog washing stations if you don't have room to bathe your pets at home. Lots of fun seasonal and unique items, including inventory from local vendors. They even do pet adoptions on a regular basis.

My 40-lb German Shepherd/Border Collie mix, Zaza, absolutely adores her - and you can tell the moment you meet Shelby that she genuinely has a way with dogs. She’s incredibly sweet, listens to exactly what I ask for, and Zaza comes out photoshoot-ready every single time.
Before finding Dirty Dawgs, I took Zaza to a more “institutional” groomer where they nickel-and-dimed for every little thing. Zaza was also terrified of the groomers there, which somehow resulted in an additional charge for her being “difficult.” The experience at Dirty Dawgs couldn’t be more different. Zaza is happy to see Shelby, I feel completely comfortable leaving her in Shelby’s care, and there are never any surprise charges.
Zaza’s grooming usually takes about two hours, and Shelby is typically booked 7–10 days out—which tells you just how in-demand she is! I love supporting small businesses, especially when the service is this personal and consistently excellent. I truly can’t recommend Shelby and Dirty Dawgs Grooming enough!

Pampered Paws Pet Spa
3607 Clayton Road, ConcordI can’t recommend Pampered Paws enough. I took my girl there today and had such a wonderful experience from start to finish. She was treated with so much kindness, patience, and care, which immediately put me at ease. She corrected the choppiness left by another local groomer and blended her coat so beautifully. The difference was incredible. My pup looked amazing, but even more importantly, she was happy, calm, and clearly well taken care of when I picked her up. I could tell right away how peaceful the environment was, and it truly showed in my dog’s demeanor. It means everything to know your pet is groomed with such genuine compassion. We will definitely be back. Thank you for taking such great care of my girl.

Maple was a little shy of other dogs when we first adopted her, and dogs will play has helped her soooo much with socializing her. She is super good around other dogs now and they help so much. Would recommend them over and over to anyone that needs boarding or even daytime care! All the employees are super helpful and knowledgeable!

She went above and beyond to help me understand everything by thoroughly explaining. I am so grateful my cat was able to be in her wonderful care during the beginning of his diagnosis. I am forever thankful for the wonderful compassion. Appointments are easy to schedule online with sometimes same day or next day availability. Prices are reasonable and I don't feel like they overdo testing and give you options.

Clayton Valley Pet Hospital
4801 Clayton Road, ConcordDr. Aparicio and staff are great. She doesn't rush through the appointment like most other vets, whether we're there with our 2 dogs for annuals or for a health issue. Sometimes we wait longer than normal but it's ok because I know she's taking the time with other patients that she gives us. I like her honesty-our dogs are our children and as dog parents we need to be reminded they have different needs than humans. She's also very knowledgeable and even helps out with zoos. I love that they will call the drug reps to ask about proper dosages for my tiny rescue and that she will pull out a book now and again to double check something like the compounds, breed, and health issues. It's reassuring that someone is making sure they didn't miss something. There's never unnecessary testing (we have insurance for our dogs so I know I'll get reimbursed) and we can always count on a thorough explanation of what's going on. We're always allowed to stay in the room to help calm them too which I love. This vet has been practicing for many years and between her and the staff you can tell by how they treat the animals. They really love them, care about what they do, and want the best for them. You can tell a LOT about people by how they treat animals. Thanks Dr. Aparicio and team CVPH!

1488 Washington Boulevard, ConcordThey love pets and never try to upsale or do anything drastic unless absolutely necessary. I have a cat who seems to continuously have health issues or emergencies and they do everything they can to keep costs low to make sure we can get treatments.
Dr Bivens has been his Dr since he was a kitten and she is the best I could ask for for my sweet baby. I don't trust alot of people with him but I know when he's with them he will be taken care of properly during over night stays or surgeries.

Ed was very responsive when I first contacted him, and we met in person shortly thereafter. I have a very shy older cat, and he understands her quirks (and probably mine). He's a joy to deal with, and it has given me great peace of mind while travelling. This last visit, ants had decided to invade. I happened to have some ant traps on my counter because I had used them recently. He took the initiative to place a few more where needed, and the ants were gone by the time I got home. These are the kind of details that you don't get with just anyone. I had always had friends take care of my cat, but I decided to look for something more consistent. I found his service while blindly searching the internet and reading through reviews. If you're looking for peace of mind at a reasonable price, you have found your answer!

The group I went with recommended the meatball sandwich for lunch so I came back on a day off to try it, and it did not disappoint.
For the quality and what you get, it is 100% worth it. The waiter also recommended the polenta as a side and it went perfectly with the lamb shank.
100% worth going and revisiting. Super glad I live close by. Next time I am trying the Moroccan chicken.

blast from the past! I ate Zombies EVERYDAY in High School and this place brought it all back to my taste buds!!! Very yummy and so many styles/flavors. The ham & cheese was incredibly tasty and hot off the press, while the Zombie popper was insanely delicious! I will be back to try their other one's. They have coffee and BEER! It was so crowded I couldn't get a beer, but that's ok. I highly recommend you stop in and give it a try, I doubt you will be disappointed. Keep up the good work Rob's Zombies 🧟♀ 👏
