Alternatives for Animals
425 Gregory Ln Suite 203, Pleasant HillOn February 9, 2026, Rico (my granddog) suddenly lost the ability to walk. He was in visible distress—screaming and panting—so we rushed him to a neurologist. The diagnosis was heartbreaking: Stage 5 IVDD with double incontinence. We were told his only real shot at walking again was an immediate $15,000 surgery (95% success rate), while the alternative was strict crate rest with only a 50/50 chance.
Desperate for a second opinion, I called Dr. Reddig. Even though she had never treated Rico before, she has taken such incredible care of my other dogs that I knew I needed her help. Her team was amazing and squeezed us in right away.
Dr. Reddig developed a comprehensive recovery plan, including a specific treatment schedule, supplements, and home exercises. It took two months of incredibly hard work, but thanks to her expertise, Rico is walking again—and we did it all without surgery. I truly believe we couldn’t have reached this milestone without Dr. Reddig; I owe her everything for giving Rico his mobility back.

Pacific Veterinary Emergency and Specialty Hospital
3210 Old Tunnel Rd Suite B, LafayetteThis vet clinic is amazing. All the staff was genuinely so helpful, kind, caring - amazing customer service. They thoroughly explained everything to me. My outdoor female cat got injured in a bad cat fight. huge gash on her face, infected swollen ect. she was in a lot of pain. I think the price is more reasonable than other vets i’ve been to in the area. Dr. Anna I believe her name is she was great. Very knowledgeable and can tell she loves the work she does. I highly recommend this place we went at 9pm ish and the service was just exceptional, my pet and I have never been treated so well at clinics. Also more affordable exam costs compared to other emergencies near by. Their knowledge and clear communication skills relieved my stress.

Walk Train Love
4 Ethan Ct, LafayetteHillary did a wonderful job training my unruly rescue pup. They took the time to really understand his personality and tailored their training so that he could be successful. They met with me almost weekly to train me to be successful with him. He went to them headstrong, hyper, and nippy and and came home as a polite, sweet, loving puppy. I can’t thank Hillary enough for training this puppy and being able to keep him in our family.

Deer Hill Vineyards
6 Lois Ln, LafayetteWe had such a wonderful experience here and can’t recommend it enough. From the start, Bill was incredibly kind, communicative, and accommodating—he made setting up our tasting for a small group of six super easy and seamless.
The tasting itself was fantastic. The wines were truly excellent, and what made it even more special was how much Bill shared about the vineyard and each wine. You can really feel the passion and care behind everything, which made the whole experience even more engaging and memorable.
The tasting room is absolutely beautiful, and the vineyard itself is just as charming—such a perfect setting to relax and enjoy great wine with friends. It felt intimate, welcoming, and thoughtfully curated.
Highly recommend this spot whether you have friends or family visiting or just want a fun, elevated wine outing. Also, a huge bonus: it’s accessible by BART, so no one has to worry about driving and everyone can fully enjoy the experience.
We’ll definitely be back!

Social Bird Kitchen and Bar
3593 Mount Diablo Blvd, LafayetteBeen there twice, though only for lunch, and both food and service have been entirely satisfactory. It's a handsome place - cool and dim indoors, great in the blazing sun and hot weather out there, with pleasant outside seating in back. The staff have been attentive and polite, and the prices reasonable. Recommended.

Amarin Thai Cuisine
3555 Mount Diablo Blvd B, LafayetteCame here during the day and what i appreciate is that they don’t close between 230-430 like most other Thai restaurants in the area. It was my first time to Lafayette and this restaurant and did not disappoint. Had the roti, pad Thai, crispy pork belly, coconut rice and mango and sweet rice. All was delicious. The staff was friendly and very attentive. Hope to be back real soon!

El Jarro Mexican Cafe
3563 Mount Diablo Blvd, LafayetteEast bay burrito #64 Initial taste - 5/7 Meat - 5/7 Beans - 6/7 Cheese - 5/7 Rice - 4/7 Tortilla - 6/7 Salsa - 4/7 Overall - 5/7 I want to not like this burrito as described. Lettuce and corn is not my style normally. The steak is a little on the chewy side, but I actually quite like it. Good flavors on everything. Rice is a little bland. Salsa is not adding much.

Philz Coffee
3597 Mount Diablo Boulevard, LafayetteI had a great conversation with a very friendly cashier, and the vibes of the place were amazing! The coffee isn’t expensive compared to other places, and there are so many unique options. I got the ether iced coffee, which is a darker toast, and it was phenomenal. There are a lot of spaces to sit there and do work/study, as well as a reading nook!

Kiku Sushi & Vegetarian
261 Lafayette Cir, LafayetteOne of my favorite lunch spots in downtown Lafayette! 🍣
I stopped by after a busy morning at work and it totally made my day. The sushi is always so fresh, the service is wonderful, and Sunny, the owner and her family, is the sweetest. You can really feel the love they put into the restaurant.
If you’re looking for a cozy neighborhood sushi place with consistently great food, definitely give Kiku a try. I’ll be back… probably very soon with more friends! ❤
