Hillcrest Veterinary Hospital
242 Golf Club Road, Pleasant HillThe whole vet team is incredible and the biggest pet lovers. Our Boston Terrier was in a traumatic accident and the Hillcrest team took the best care of her. We were visiting them Monday, Wednesday, and Friday for a few weeks and it was so apparent they love dogs by the way the greeted me and my dog. She had bandages on her feet and they made sure to keep it exciting with different prints and patterns. Maybe they already had them, or maybe they bought more options, but either way, it was a bright moment in a pretty stressful situation. When I saw one of the doctors, he was so kind and loving toward my dog, it really meant a lot to me to see how he interacted with her. They always had suggestions to help with side effects from her medicine, responsive on the phone, and just great people. Thanks for taking the best care of Junie!

60 Crescent Dr B, Pleasant HillWe LOVE this Urban Plates location. We signed up for their Plates Pass program and are so happy with it! The food is fantastic, fresh and healthy HOWEVER if I want a comfort food splurge there are plenty of options there too.
Lately Urban Plates has been a God-Send for our family. We have a family member with some serious health struggles and UP is the ONLY restaurant that she can enjoy!
Another PRO TIP that people don’t know is that they have Family Size options you can order, so in a pinch when taking food for a gathering, I can just pick up a Family Size side, roasted potatoes is my go-to, and everyone is dazzled!
Save room for dessert, the Banana Cream Pie is scary good!
And the manager, Amar, is so lovely! He’s always asking about my daughter’s health when I come in and will notice if we haven’t been in a while.
It’s a fantastic neighborhood spot and you’ll feel nourished with smart, fresh, delicious food. It’s not just salads or a ladies lunch place. The food is shareable and they’ve got the you covered with indulgent items too.

Their iced vanilla mint coffee is unreal too: refreshing, smooth, and totally addictive. Honestly, every menu item and seasonal special I’ve tried has been delicious.
I met the owner today and learned it’s a family‑owned business, which makes the experience even better. She was incredibly sweet, welcoming, and clearly passionate about what they serve. Rooted Coffee has officially become one of my favorite local spots — can’t recommend it enough!

We all enjoyed our meals. I loved my fried chicken salad because the ranch dressing was so delicious and the veggies were fresh. Their menu is extensive with lots of options to choose from. Reminds me of the Cheesecake Factory menu. Our server was kind and patient as we took awhile to order our food due to all the options. The restaurant has two large dining areas and above the bar are large flatscreen TVs everywhere. Great place for happy hour and large parties. I will definitely be back to watch some sports and enjoy happy hour. There is plenty of parking near the restaurant.
