Pet Care

Diablo View Veterinary Medical Hospital
2609 Pleasant Hill Rd, Pleasant HillI brought my Shih Tzu in because he had swallowed a pill that my mom dropped on the floor. Chloe and Ingrid took great care of Milo as well as the doctor. They immediately gave him eye drops to induce vomiting. Staff for all very friendly and made me feel comfortable that my dog would be getting the best care possible. They kept him under observation for about 6 hours. Great experience, highly recommend Diablo View Vet.

Hillcrest Veterinary Hospital
2211 Morello Ave, Pleasant HillI use minimal vet care for my 12-year-old rescue mutt, so I was expecting a little bit of polite scolding when I had to take him in for a rash that I ignored for quite a while. But they were totally professional and courteous and told me my options without any aggressive up-selling. I really appreciated it.

Dog Over Breed - Pleasant Hill
598 Patterson Blvd, Pleasant HillIf you’re looking for a well-run, positive place to drop your dog off for daycare or boarding, Dog Over Breed is fantastic. We’ve been taking our pup there since she was just 4 months old, and now at 11 months she still loves it. The new Concord facility is clean, easy to get to, and very well maintained. The owner has been incredibly helpful with advice throughout our dog’s young age, and it’s been a wonderful place for her socialization. Our dog is always excited to go and sleeps like a rock after we bring her home. This is a trusted East Bay business with great people who clearly

Pet-Friendly Restaurants

Habana Express Cuban Restaurant & Bakery
1966 Contra Costa Blvd, Pleasant HillMy boyfriend and I moved to California from Florida a few years ago and we've had a hard time finding some good Cuban spots. This location exceeded our expectations! The food is so flavorful, very good portions, and priced very well. I'm surprised they don't have a line out the door every time we have come. More people really need to check this place out. My boyfriend and I have gone here probably 3 times in the last week and we're determined to try everything on the menu. What a gem! Definitely worth checking out if you're craving some authentic Cuban food.

Posh Bagel
1420 Contra Costa Blvd, Pleasant HillOrdered the pastrami bagel sandwich. I asked for no tomato and no cucumber but I got both and no pickles, tbh is all I really wanted on my sandwich. Overall it was good but looked like a salad was on my bagel as there was barely any meat.

Pizza My Way - Pleasant Hill
1300 Contra Costa Blvd, Pleasant HillWalked in on a Tuesday evening and the thin-crust pepperoni looked textbook — almost translucent in spots, with the cheese browned just right at the edges from a gas deck oven. The sausage came fennel-forward and crumbled, not pre-formed, which made a noticeable difference with each bite.
Prices sit around $17-18 for a 14-inch specialty, which is fair for the quality. The counter service was quick and patient, even when I asked for half-and-half toppings. The seating is simple — a few booths and tables with a clean, uncluttered vibe. No gluten-free crust here last time I checked, just the regular dough and a solid sauce that leans slightly sweet.

1941 Oak Park Blvd #10, Pleasant HillLovely little local spot serving healthy and fresh food. I ordered their famous avo toast and the chai. Chai had a lovely ginger flavor and the toast was very flavorful! The staff is wonderful and the space overall has a wonderful vibe.

The Shoya
2642 Pleasant Hill Rd, Pleasant HillWe had a great dinner here! Everything felt very authentic, and you can tell they put a lot of care into preparing their seafood. The proportions were spot on.
A huge surprise was the miso soup—it was so good that even my kids, who usually don't touch it, finished the whole bowl. The salad was simple and refreshing, and the fried chicken (karaage) was perfectly crispy and tender. The beef was a little on the salty side for my taste, but overall, it didn't take away from a really enjoyable meal.
We liked it so much that we even grabbed some nigiri to go, and the kids absolutely loved it. Definitely a spot we’ll be coming back to.

CaliKid Burgers 'n Shakes
234 Golf Club Rd, Pleasant HillSemi new spot as of April 2026... dont know if its a franchise or not.
Ordered Hangover Angus Burger, russet fries, and strawberry shortcake shake. Started with the fries with no sauce. Pretty much perfect. Temp, texture, quality. Dip a few in there cherry spicy sauce... oh wow!!! Burger was medium and it smacked!!! The shake. Get one for yourself. If you love milkshakes, you'll be back just for that.
Ambience is chill. Not too fast food, not to fancy. Good seating selection and handicap accessible.
Try them out. Hope you enjoy! Before and after pic attached.... shake was finished on the way home! Dont question that! Ha!

Morgan Territory Brewing
40 Crescent Dr Suite A, Pleasant HillCool brewery with lots of delicious craft beers available. I ended up trying a couple sets of beer flights to try as many of their beers as possible. Their IPAs, stouts, and root beer were some of the best. They’re connected to a Mexican restaurant and have a window to allow order/pickup from there. They’re connected have events during the week as well like trivia and more.

Jack's Restaurant & Bar
60 Crescent Dr Suite A, Pleasant HillYummy classic American cuisine with generous portions. Came here for a working lunch with my colleagues and we were able to sit outside and work on our report. We all enjoyed our meals. I loved my fried chicken salad because the ranch dressing was so delicious and the veggies were fresh. Their menu is extensive with lots of options to choose from. Reminds me of the Cheesecake Factory menu. Our server was kind and patient as we took awhile to order our food due to all the options. The restaurant has two large dining areas and above the bar are large flatscreen TVs everywhere. Great place for happy hour and large parties. I will definitely be back to watch some sports and enjoy happy hour. There is plenty of parking near the restaurant.
