I walked in with an appointment I had for a week, told them I had it to which they replied I will get a text message when they’re ready for me and that I can walk around the store which I did for 15 min, 20 maybe. I get the message and to my surprise there’s a line. I asked and they said they will get to you in order, depending where in line you are. I don’t understand why then tell me that I can walk around the store when they could’ve just simply said just go get in line and wait for the text message. There were people who didn’t even get the text message yet and were in line (very wise). Of course I waited for 2 hours until they gave a couple of shots to my dog. My recommendation: GET IN LINE and then figure anything else out. I know this has nothing to do with the facility itself but I still wanted to address it :)
OH! I also think they should take turns for the breaks. Of course every worker needs breaks but 15 min for the whole crew which was like 6 people to stop completely it makes the whole thing even slower 😭. Only 2 are putting the vaccines and helping, the other 1 is in the cash area for payments but the other 2 were just standing there giggling the whole time, ahhhhhh!!!!

And to Adilson Freitas, I have been going to this place for 4 years, and I know you can't schedule appointments for 5pm, the last appointment time is 3pm, and if you said you got there at 5pm had to wait 9 hours for your dog to be done, then had you had to wait an additional 30 minutes then you would have picked your dog up at 2:30am and Leah would not keep a dog more then 5 hours and if she would then she would call and do them the next DAY SO GET YOUR STORY AND MATH STRAIGHT

What I love most about the Ark pet hospital is the staff! They always greet me and my pets as if we’re family and that means a lot to me personally. 1312 Sunset Drive, AntiochWe found this place from our primary vet at Brentwood. Just in case if there's an emergency. Our pup accidentally act some cabbage which cause him to have diarrhea and vomit. We were really worried so we rushed him to an emergency. In the morning, only a few people were waiting. I registered our pup and they brought him in right away. Unfortunately, we had to wait a few hrs because the primary vet had not arrived yet. Later they brought us in. We had a consulation with the doctor and she decided to run some tests to make sure nothing is serious. She advised to go home and they will call us when he's ready. Good news nothing serious with his health from the test results. He just needed to take some meds to cure his diarrhea and vomiting. The next day our pup was back to his normal self.

Each of of our German shepherds that we’ve have through the years have loved him and he has taken excellent care of them and has expertise knowledge with a compassionate heart for animals and always treats us with kindness and respect and doesn’t gouge you when it comes to your pets care. His staff through the years have also been very kind and extremely helpful. We recommend him to everyone we know and meet that have pets. He’s is truly an amazing veterinarian and human!

5151 Deer Valley Road, AntiochMy 16-year-old cat had been acting “off” for a few days — hiding, sleeping in unusual places, just not himself. It felt small and maybe even silly to worry about, but I knew something wasn’t right.
I brought him to VCA Antioch Animal Hospital – Deer Valley and never once was I made to feel dramatic or silly. Dr. Schutzman spent quality time with me listening to my concerns and helping figure out a plan for my old man.
After diagnostics, we learned he is dealing with significant arthritis. We started pain medication that day, gave fluids to help perk him up, ran lab work (which thankfully came back perfect), and started Solensia injections to help manage his osteoarthritis.
Every day since, he’s slowly getting back to himself by roaming the house again and acting more like the cat I know and love.
I’m incredibly appreciative that the team listened to me and took my concerns seriously. Kara and Hollie were wonderful assistants for Dr. Schutzman, and Jenelle and Melanie at the front desk were patient, kind, professional, and so helpful throughout the visit.
I also routinely bring my Lhasa Apso there for grooming with Sal and Julie, and they always do an amazing job (plus the doctors here manage her diabetes!). I’ve had experiences with Dr. Mulgrew helping my other dog when she needed her eye removed, and Davina and Linda have consistently helped with prescriptions accurately and promptly, always communicating clearly when medications are ready and helping set me up with home delivery for food and medications so I don’t have to remember everything myself.
The hospital has also helped my family through very sensitive situations, including helping my mother compassionately say goodbye to both her cat and dog. During those difficult moments, the team was incredibly caring and supportive.
Overall, this is an excellent hospital. I am so thankful to have found a team that provides not only wonderful medical care and customer service, but also affordable options, especially through their wellness plans.

The baked beans were good on the macaroni and cheese was to die for and I’ve had a sweet potato pie and a peach cobbler both really good so can’t wait to try other stuff but they’re sausage their ribs was cooked perfect and the sauce is wonderful so I said go for it.
