“Al Joe is the best!! When I first went in to buy a nice putter he was refreshingly honest, “Sorry to say this but you don’t need a new putter, you need to learn how to putt.” He saved me a ton with that comment and he ended up selling me a gap wedge that was extremely reasonable. More recently he only charged me $75 to replace my driver shaft with a custom, stiff shaft. I could not recommend Grip It Golf more highly!”

“I visited Soccer Post this weekend hoping to get some numbers printed on my jerseys and they did NOT disappoint! A previous encounter with another store (who shall not be named) left me traumatized and broken. Luckily, the staff here were polite and charming—assisting me, noticing me. I carried in two jerseys, black and white, and asked if they could print a number on each. David—the manager—responded, “Number 10”? I was enthralled. Is it possible he could recognize a person’s disposition upon a mere glance? “Yes”, I replied, maintaining my composure. “White on black and black on white!”, he proclaimed. He even knew the colors I needed as if he were some kind of Soccer Pro.
They asked me to wait as the machine warmed up. I passed the time meandering about the store, and noticed the abundance of World Cup apparel and fanfare. The Mexico home jersey shone with a deep, natural green as if it sprouted right there in the store. I asked to try it on and the staff were utterly pleasant and encouraged me to sample anything I desired. I loved the jersey so much I decided to buy one for myself and another for my loving wife.
At the end, the printed jerseys came out without so much as a geometric imperfection. My trained eye could tell that the protractor I brought would not be necessary today. The prices at Soccer Post were reasonable and without shipping costs, unlike those dreaded online stores with no character. I will be coming back very soon to pick up the Mexico jersey with the star upon their World Cup victory!”

“Went in today for soccer cleats for my daughter. The pricing was great ($45) for really nice Adidas that both fit and appealed to her. Even though we weren’t demanding customers, Justin helped bring her the size she wanted to try and also the perfect recommendation of an alternate color in the same size without us asking. He was very kind and helpful. I entered my email address online before checkout for an extra 10% coupon and left feeling like the Dad hero of the day.”

“There are no other (!) swim shops in the larger Bay Area that sell competitive tech suits. Thank goodness for Elsmore in Walnut Creek! They have competitive suits and tech suits for youth and adults, goggles, caps, long swim coats, other clothing, and sandals. The young woman on the phone was so helpful in telling me available sizes, colors, and prices before I had to drive all the way out to them, and when we finally made it, just before closing, the young man helped us more as the size we thought would fit was actually too big! I just wanted to provide a thumbs up review so that people looking for competitive swimwear can find this store!”

City Arms East has a surprisingly great selection for a smaller store, and the prices are very reasonable. The staff is knowledgeable, accommodating, and genuinely helpful without any pressure.
One of the best parts is the atmosphere — lots of good banter between the employees and customers. It’s the kind of place where you actually enjoy hanging out, chatting, and learning a thing or two.
If you’re looking for a solid local shop with great people and a welcoming vibe, this is definitely the spot. Highly recommend supporting them.”

“I entered the store around 8:30 PM on January 6th and had an excellent experience. Every employee I interacted with was kind, attentive, and went above and beyond to help me. I was shopping for a last-minute gift for a coworker before heading back to work, and multiple staff members made a genuine effort to help me find the perfect item.
Even at 9:00 PM, there was still a long line of customers waiting to be served. Despite this, the staff handled the situation with patience, professionalism, and care. There was no visible frustration or negativity, which is not always the case in busy retail environments.
The staff at this location are outstanding, and it is always a pleasure to shop here. I chose this store over other nearby locations specifically because of the consistently great customer service. I truly appreciate Dick’s Sporting Goods and the exceptional team working at this store. Thank you.”

I could not thank them enough as a sports mom. They created a Letterman jacket that is a to-die-for special for my senior. Their customer service and kindness are what keeps us going back!
