Tank Garage Winery
1020 Foothill Blvd, CalistogaOne of the best experiences we had during our time in Napa. Our host Matt was awesome and incredibly knowledgeable about the wines. Such a fun atmosphere and great wine, we especially loved the fact that once a certain bottle was made that was it for the batch. Pizza night was one of the best reds we had the entire trip. Definitely a must visit.

Hans Fahden Vineyards
4855 Petrified Forest Rd, CalistogaWe had such a wonderful time at Hans Fahden. The space is absolutely beautiful, and the cave alone is worth the visit. Our host was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, she really took the time to walk us through the wines and share the story behind them. She also encouraged us to take a stroll through the gardens, which was a lovely surprise. The wines were excellent too. This place is a real hidden gem and we can't wait to come back. If you're looking for a venue for a small wedding or intimate event, this would be a gorgeous spot for it

Picayune Cellars & Mercantile
1440 Lincoln Ave, CalistogaThis store is a treasure! All employees, especially the owner, Claire, are so gracious and kind. The merchandise is fabulous, from so many countries! This store carries Pendleton blankets, shirts and various other things.
Picayune also carries its own brand of beautiful wines and other gourmet items. As previously said, Claire picks the merchandise which varies from all over.
Picayune’s is the first shop I go to when I am in Calistoga and the last when I’m ready to leave! Be sure and put it on your list ! ❤️

August Briggs Winery
1307 Lincoln Ave, CalistogaWe recently visited Calistoga for a wine tasting getaway. We stumbled upon August Briggs Winery while walking around and explore the downtown strip, and WHAT A FIND! Matt was so much fun to talk to and explained the intricacies of sourcing for various wines and considerations for selecting grapes for his wines. Not only did we learn a ton, but the wines were FABULOUS! We brought several bottles home and my partner has a list of new questions to ask next time we visit!
Highly recommend!!

Work Vineyard
3190 CA-128, CalistogaWe had a great time visiting work vineyard. It's a boutique winery that is family owned with a great story. Loved all the different varietals of wine, and even got to meet the wine maker. They just remodeled the place and looks stunning. Would highly recommend. FYI - they are appointment only, so need to reserve a spot ahead of time.

Myriad Cellars
1251 Tubbs Ln, CalistogaWorld class wines created by Mike Smith. Myriad is the label of gifted winemaker Mike Smith and his wife Leah. Myriad wines have earned multiple 100 pt scores and rank as some of the best wines I have ever tasted. Our tasting was held at Tamber Bey, a beautiful venue that houses Arabian and Mustang horses as well as a working winery. We tasted several wines made from fruit sourced from some of the best vineyards in Napa. Our time tasting was indeed memorable as well as educational thanks to our wine educator and host, Isaac Pirolo. Tasting fees are waived with the purchase of 3 wines which will allow you to make more memories while enjoying this incredible wine. Every cork tells a story. For us, this is a wonderful story we will always treasure.

Lovina
1107 Cedar St, CalistogaWe unfortunately arrived in Calistoga during a power outage but Lovina was one of the only two restaurants with a back up generator. As you can imagine they were getting slammed with customers and to go orders.
We had a reservation and were seated immediately. The restaurant definitely struggle pushing out orders as it took us nearly an hour to get our food. I ordered the braised beef risotto and my wife got the aubergine dish. Both were amazing quality and freshness. The risotto was so creamy and rich. And the braised beef was so tender that it basically melted in my mouth. My wife's aubergine was nicely fried and had a great crunch but delicate texture. And the salad on top was excellent.
Overall despite the hiccups, the staff was great and the food was amazing. Highly recommend.

Sam's General Store
109 Wappo Ave, Calistogahonestly i was just stopping by to grab a snack on a road trip and ended up spending way longer than i planned just walking around. this place is packed with cool stuff you don't see every day, like weird sodas and local honey. the guy at the counter was super friendly and actually gave me good directions to a trailhead nearby. i bought a bag of those spicy cashews and they were gone before i even made it out of town. its the kind of spot that feels genuine and not like a generic tourist stop. i would definitely come back if im ever up this way again. really glad i wandered in.

Calistoga Depot Distillery
1458 Lincoln Ave, CalistogaWhen we come to Calistoga, we always stop here. The food is good, the atmosphere is great. We love that they have live music. When we were there, there was an excellent jazz guitarist.
I had a smoked salmon sandwich with salad and my husband had a burger and fries.
The beer selection is wide, and we're always able to find something we like.
