2311 Pierpont Boulevard, VenturaI absolutely love my corn snake from them! Jose has always been very nice, helpful, and informative whenever I’ve interacted with him.
However, there was a lady assisting Jose who unfortunately wasn’t as pleasant, and I really didn’t like the vibe of our interaction. I’m a curious beginner in the hobby, and I honestly didn’t know that customers weren’t allowed to touch the baby snakes. There was no sign or notice indicating that, so I didn’t realize I was doing something wrong.
I completely understand having rules in place for the animals, and I’m more than happy to respect them. I just wish it had been communicated in a friendlier way.
Because of that experience, I’d honestly rather drive to Petco, PetSmart, or somewhere else in L.A. just to pick up a feeder rat than have another uncomfortable interaction. 😅
No hate toward Jose or the business. I’ve had a great experience with my corn snake. This is simply my personal experience with that particular interaction.

Alex is always incredibly helpful, friendly, and patient. He also went out of his way to assist me with downloading the PetSmart app so I could take advantage of available deals. It’s clear he genuinely cares about customers and making sure they have a positive experience. Excellent customer service—I really appreciate the extra help and will definitely continue shopping here! He keeps me informed of available promotions on their app to ensure I register. He also kindly offers to carry the heavy cat litter and dog food bags I purchase. Employees here are always helpful to assist me with items on lower or higher shelves as I have a difficult time squatting due to two total knee replacements. Ill keep shopping here due to their helpful and friendly staff and variety of products. I've also recently been informed by Alex that they can also ship to my home or to their location and staff will carry out to my car. Shopping made easy-I love it.

Dr. Kendra, and the entire staff, always made us feel that our cats were safe and cared for, and individuals worthy of attention. The vibe of the whole place is soothing, quiet, and welcoming. Dr. Kendra is gifted, both with making cats in her care comfortable during exams, but also as a diagnostician, working with our uniquely challenged little weirdos and their special needs. And Gaby at the front desk was always the best at helping me with my questions/follow ups. Both Dr. Macaroni and Olivia (our cats) have now passed on, but we were very grateful for the kindness of the staff at this clinic as we navigated their end of life journeys. Definitely recommend The Cat Doctor.

853 East Main Street, VenturaDr. Moore has cared for all of my pets. Moore vet care quickly and accurately diagnosed and treated my parrot’s broken wing. He is healed now and has normal function of his wing. My bulldog gets regular vaccines and annual checkups and she loves the staff! Dr. Moore is very knowledgeable on exotic pet care and I trust her whenever my rabbit has any health issues. My babies are happy and healthy thanks to the amazing team.

She took her time in explaining what my dog needed for his procedure and how the procedure works. She also explained that during the procedure there is a possibility he might need surgery depending on if there is any damage to the area. She even drew out a picture to help us understand better.
Dr. Simpson has great bed side manners, is empathetic, is passionate about her job, and guinuenly cares for animals and their well being.
The receptionist provided great customer service. She was nice, helpful, and informative.

2443 Portola Rd, VenturaWOW! I needed to board my cat for 17 days and was really anxious about leaving her for that long, but Kittyland made the entire experience completely stress-free.
The facilities look exactly like the photos — clean, organized, and very well maintained. From the moment I arrived, it was clear that a lot of care goes into keeping the space comfortable and welcoming for the cats.
One thing that really stood out compared to other boarding options in the area is that Carrie includes updates, check-in photos, and solo playtime without charging extra fees. She was also very responsive whenever I texted to check in, and it was incredibly reassuring to see that my cat was comfortable, happy, and getting lots of attention while I was away.
Kittyland is run by Carrie and her family, and that personal touch truly sets it apart. It never felt like a large commercial boarding facility — it felt like a place run by people who genuinely love and understand cats.
I drive 30 minutes to board my cat here, and I would absolutely do it again. For anyone nervous about leaving their cat during a long trip, Kittyland gave me complete peace of mind.

My family and I were visiting Ventura this past week and I have been thinking about this food ever since! Personally the best Thai Food I have ever had. We got the Egg Rolls with peanut sauce which were absolutely Devine. We got the pad Thai at a level 3 spicy and my husband loved it. My daughter got the chow mein and it was delicious, and I got the pineapple fried rice. The flavors were all extremely on point and I highly recommend this destination. It is a little small inside but no issues, we even had room for a highchair for our 2 year old. And the gentleman with an accent was very kind with a great personality. Anything I needed, I just walked right up to the cash register, and whatever I needed was in my hands within 30 seconds. I truly have zero complaints about our experience and I pray everyone who’s reading this goes in and gives them a try! PS- I just remembered my daughter also got a Thai Tea which was super yummy! So try that as well! :)
