“I love hot topic so much, there’s always cute things to look at. I love the clothes that I get there, accessories, and plushies. The store is always clean and tidy which is very nice. I just feel like it gets crowded every here and there, but that’s just anywhere. The prices are reasonable, and I love going to the clearance section to see what little trinkets I can get on sale. I got one of the SpongeBob mystery figure ball thingys and I got Patric and he’s so stinky I love him so much. The staff here are very kind! Thank you hot topic/staff you lowkey my twin 🙏”

“I needed a last minute birthday gift and went to Bidwell Clothing Co. I had purchased some Christmas gifts here last year and they have such a fun selection of Chico clothing as well as artisan soaps, handmade jewelry etc. The shirt I wanted did not have the right size, so when I asked if they had any in the back I didn’t think I’d be able to get the gift there. Ron very kindly offered to screen print the shirt and have it ready for pickup within a few hours, complimentary gift wrap and all. You can’t get service like that at most places. What a gem!”
“We came in today around 7 and the girl that helped us was amazing! my boyfriend is really particular about his t-shirts and we found one in store he loved but they didn’t have anymore. she helped us order a few others and she was so friendly! i wish we got her name to shout her out but it was a great experience :))”

“Walking into Spencer’s Gifts as an adult felt like stepping into a time machine one powered by lava lamps, blacklight posters, and just enough inappropriate gag gifts to make me feel like I was 14 again and sneaking in when my mom wasn’t looking. As a kid, this store was the holy grail of rebellion: loud, weird, and full of things that made you giggle uncontrollably or raise your eyebrows so high they nearly left your forehead.
Fast forward to now, and honestly? Not much has changed and that’s a beautiful thing. It’s still got that edgy, irreverent vibe, like the cool cousin of the mall that’s too wild for Hallmark and too funny for Hot Topic. I found everything from nostalgic band tees to hilariously inappropriate coffee mugs, plus a wall of novelty lights that made my inner teenager scream with joy.
The staff didn’t hover but were super chill and ready to help when I had questions. Prices were what you’d expectsome stuff’s a steal, others are more “this is worth it for the laugh.” Overall, it was comforting to know that in a world where everything changes, Spencer’s still knows how to keep it weird. And I’m here for it.”

“Wildcat Sportswear was my fraternity's go-to spot for all things apparel-related. The venue is rather small and is sort of hidden behind another building bordered by a small parking lot. It's not very visible from the road although it's in a fairly busy area adjacent to downtown. Due to this, I never felt that this spot was commercialized. Just a true mom-and-pop establishment. I enjoyed that this shop is also adjacent to the south campus neighborhood where all the Greek houses are. It was an easy two block walk from my fraternity house. The store, while small, is very clean and orderly. You'll find a multitude of Greek-related merchandise (cups, apparel, crafts, stickers, etc). The gentleman who runs the shop will also take custom orders for embroidering or ordering a particular product. A convenient little shop overall, and a true asset to the Chico State Greek community.”

“No complaint. I left the U.S. permanently after living there for 33 years. I realized that America is blessed with quality products and lots of variety at reasonable prices (which are actually cheaper for the quality had you buy if from overseas.). I dropped by Chico (my ex-town) and because I was already in a good mood, I found everything to be positive. The store is not bad at all, I was looking for greenish and brownish colors to add to my clothes (in the past 5 years I only wear blue, gray and black) for a change. I found interesting collection for reasonable prices. Employees are courteous and it's a hip and cool store to visit.”
“I love Burlington! Mainly because everyone has a Big and Tall section. Prices are fair. But they all are a bit messy. I understand the influx of random brands, but it could be a bit nicer.
Home goods are great and so is the accessory selection”
