Bandana Rx (previously Pet VM)
5600 Imhoff Dr Ste E, ConcordI ordered my dog Jasper's Flea & Tick meds from BandanaRx and was impressed by how easy the process was. The Rx approval from my vet was handled entirely by their team, and the medication arrived faster than expected. When I had questions about dosage, their service representative had all the answers.

Feathered Follies
1460 Washington Blvd Ste C2, ConcordThis is a wonderful place with amazing staff. Matt, Max and Mercedes were the nicest people. I had my 2 birds boarded there and i knew they were safe and well taken care of. They showed me the other birds they care for and I so appreciated the visit. I just love love birds so getting to see other species there made my day.
I also got to meet Tofu (who was the bird that was bird napped). So happy to see that Tofu was returned safely and watching him dance with Max ☺️.
Also just saw that Plato has been returned as well. Yay!!
If you ever need a bird sitter, this is the place. Price is very reasonable. Reach out to them for any more info. They also sell bird items too.
They are the best!!

PET PARADISE GROOMING
1818 Colfax St, ConcordMy dog is anxious about nail clipping and fights a lot. I have had PetSmart and Petco groomers giving up that they cannot clip his nails. I tried different things with positive reinforcement, treats, numbing with clippers..etc Nothing worked! I was on the brink of giving up his clipping. My friend at evening dog park recommended this place. They got him clipped in no time, Pet Paradise will have my dog for his grooming now on. Thank You!

Dogs Will Play
1302 Galindo St #200, ConcordI’ve been taking my dog here for about 5 months now since moving to Concord and I have to say this is the best doggy day care I’ve ever taken him to. Despite having 40-60 days a day (on weekdays), Melissa and her colleagues remembered my dog’s name after just one visit! When I pick him up, they usually provide me with an update on who he’s played with and how he did that day. Also, Melissa helped me today with removing a tick off my dog, which I was grateful for! These people know their stuff! Love this place!

Four Corners Veterinary Hospitals
2956 Treat Blvd, ConcordWe needed to prepare our move to Hawaii and transferring our dog to this state has so many requirements. The staff and Dr.K was prepared with the forms, familiar with the vaccinations, blood tests and timelines. They lessened the stress and helped us tremendously with the transition to keep our dog from going into a long quarantine if the requirements were not met. Dr. K is so knowledgeable and very nice and caring with our dog. We loved him and highly recommend Four Corners Veterinary Hospital ??

Concord Veterinary Clinic
5201 Clayton Rd, ConcordI must say having to put my sweet boy down, the staff was so Compassionate. We had our appointment 30 min before they closed and quickly realized there was nothing we could do to save our sweet baby. They told us to take as much time before and after. They didn't rush us and we took 2.5 hours after they closed. They never tried to rush us. They even help with the payment. They took what we paid for the vet visit and took it off the price to put him down. I was so thankful that they loved him with us to the end. I went here one other time when he was healthy and they where so sweet with him then too. I don't remember anyone's names. Too sad. But I just want to tell the staff that we there to help my Juno, thank you!

Veterinarian Care Concord
2241 Commerce Ave, ConcordWe had an urgent need to see a vet for our elderly dog. They took us in very last minute, and the nurses and vet (Dr. Chhina) were incredibly compassionate and caring. They even called the next morning to check on our dog, and the vet even consulted a neurologist without us asking her to. Unfortunately our dog was doing very badly and we had to euthanize him, but the entire staff was deeply considerate through the whole process, even when my husband and I were a hot mess. Very grateful for this clinic and its team, and their care for our pet when he was suffering.

SAGE Veterinary Centers - Concord
2055 Meridian Park Blvd, ConcordI can't speak highly enough of Dr. Griffin and the veterinary tech staff at SAGE Concord. We were directed by our local vet to have our 14 year old pitty looked at by a specialist for a potential spinal or neurological issue - they did such a wonderful job taking care of her and helping us to feel at ease during her treatment; options were carefully explained and questions readily answered. The documentation provided to support after care was thorough and easy to understand, and I loved that the overnight nurse caring for our pup during her hospital recovery sent us pics to show us how she was doing. For expert companion animal care, I would definitely return to SAGE and would recommend them.

ABC Veterinary Hospital
2056 East St, ConcordI'm hoping that anyone who is considering taking their pet here do not. I only gave 5 stars so this gets seen but I wouldn't give any stars. I made an appointment when my cat had an abcess on the back of his neck from a cat fight and i only went there because my mom would take our dog years ago and i got an appointment for next day plus I wanted a second opinion if the wound might need to be drained or not but at the very least i needed to get an antibiotics prescription. Anyways, we arrived and we were the only ones there so my mom and I sat in the chairs facing the room they brought my cat they left the door open so I'm looking directly at them, the Dr and his receptionist, (I think only 2 people work there man and woman) and he has one side of the carrier unzipped and is trying to shake my cat out onto the table but he's obviously holding on (btw the carrier unzipped on top and both sides) and he reached in the carrier grabbing my cat by the abcess on the back of his neck and dragging him out I'm not even joking he told the receptionist to help him by holding the carrier down still my cat was meowing loud and holding on for dear life terrified. My mom and I both can't believe what is happening I started yelling stop! you're having him by his abcess you're hurting him and it's like they forgot we were right there until I yelled out but they apparently didn't see anything wrong because he kept trying to pull him out and I started crying and I told my mom to get my cat I stepped out front because I was pissed off I didn't want to hurt someone and then they told me to come in and apologized but denied they were hurting my cat and that yanking him was causing him pain, didn't even offer pain medication, my cat was trembling that was the first time he's ever trembled. I felt guilty and couldn't stop crying because I brought him there.

Mt Diablo Dog Training Club
1027 Detroit Ave A, ConcordClean, spacious, dedicated building. Nice indoor bathroom for the humans and plenty of areas outside to potty dogs. Well-marked parking spaces for attendees.
Safe, comfortable location in downtown Martinez next to the district attorney courthouse, veteran memorial building, and eateries.
Instructors make haste and start training you on day one with clear, detailed, helpful instruction.
As a dog training enthusiast, I appreciate the club's attention to facility hygiene, cordoning off areas for dogs that may be reactive to other dogs, having assistants at the ready, and having a separate exit so dogs can leave without going past and reacting to other dogs.
As a lifelong learner, I appreciate that they give really detailed nicely formatted homework sheets.
This is a very well-planned and executed dog training operation that is community-oriented. An overall great place to come learn about how to train your dog in basic manners.
Be prepared to learn a lot, move a lot, and absorb a lot of knowledge.

1822 Grant St, ConcordMy Mom loves it here. It's a short walk from Concord Bart station , just outside of Todos Santos Plaza. It's not uncommon for a food truck to pull into their parking lot or for a bit of live music to be in the mix. The staff are very knowledgeable about beer itself and their offerings. Impression of Lanzhou
1657 Willow Pass Rd ste A, ConcordLanzhou is an ancient, desert city on the old Silk Road so its culinary heritage is as wide as it is deep. While I’ve not been there I would like to think the food here is pretty authentic Gansu province cuisine. It’s always a good sign when a restaurant is popular, but it’s a better sign when an Asian restaurant is full of Asian patrons. Everything we had here was good. The chili crunch oil condiment (which is mild and has smoky, earthy flavor) made everything even better. Guaranteed I’m going back.

Bay Area Animal Rescue Crew
1637 Lindbergh Dr, ConcordOur 3.5-year-old Frenchie jumped off our bed and ruptured a disc. Griffin couldn't walk or stand up on his own. His legs were becoming more stiff as the hours went on. The local vet in Napa said we needed a neurologist and sent us for emergency care at SAGE in Redwood City. They told us that he was becoming paralyzed and that we needed to get him an MRI ($3000) and an aggressive back surgery that was only an 80% chance he recovers from this. That would cost us approx $18,000 dollars. Not to mention the aftercare costs. If we couldn't do that, then we should euthanize him humanely there that day. We cried it out and begged for an alternative so they sent us home with a gloomy diagnosis that the steroids will probably not help and to have him put down if he become fully paralyzed and struggled with his breathing. We were trying to figure out what else could be done and our family friend messaged us with Linda from Bay area Animal rescue crews information. Linda from BAY AREA ANIMAL RESCUE CREW called us and immediately suggested we take Griffin to Concord, Alpine Vet Hospital. That night we showed up to the Clinic at 6pm (they have great hours for working families too! )Linda Greeted us and took us in to meet Dr Freeman who in detail explained this Hib Laser that could help Griffin to walk again for hundreds of dollars not thousands!!!! He also did a few tests in front of us to test Griffin's reflexes. And he quickly was able to explain Parysis vs Paralysed. Griffin had a shot. And the Vet scheduled 7 visits for this HIb laser in a matter of 2 weeks. After the first treatment, it was clear we had some results. Griffin who was not lifting his head on his own, left the clinic with his head up! Linda called us that night for after care and to make sure we were doing everything in our power to give him the best chance. She double-checked our meds. She advised on what food we should be feeding him. (he wasn't eating at the time) her suggestions and help did not go in vain. I truly believe she is a godsend for our Griffin and for us. We kept him on the Steriods and he's been on some anti-inflammatories and pain meds for the last 27 days. I am happy to report Griffin is 90% better! He still doesn't take the stairs or do any jumping (we will be limiting that for a long time ) But he is walking with the occasional stumble. I feel like Linda and the Rescue crew and Dr Virk and Dr Freeman and the rest of the staff at Alpine are a Group of people who deserve this praise. And a BIG HUGE THANK YOU! OUR family is healed and this help means more to us than I can put in this review! They were kind to us and helped us as if it was their dog suffering! I will be singing your praise for years to come. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts !
