Pet Care
Covington Creek Veterinary Hospital
30303 CA-20, Fort BraggDr Chaves has been taken care of our dogs for ages. This last time Heidi had 18 teeth removed and now she plays again. Flea meds and heartworm medicine and regular checkups. Email notices for many questions saves everyone time and money. Well-dog checkups for our bunch can be a job. One of our dogs is bitey and Shannon comes out with a muzzle fully prepared for the BRAT-DOG. We will be taking our fur-babies to him for a long time. The flea meds for the other dogs I can phone in and pay for and family can pick up as I travel several states for my job.

Colin Chaves, DVM
30303 CA-20, Fort BraggThe few negative reviews here don't understand the vet situation here in Fort Bragg. Due to the retirement/relocation etc. of a few local vets no vets that I know of are taking new patients. If you want to help, encourage a vet to move to this beautiful dog-friendly place. Dr. Chaves is a great vet who goes above and beyond. He deserves to be honored and praised, not trashed.

Pet-Friendly Restaurants
Sea Pal Cove
32390 N Harbor Dr, Fort BraggI'm always on the hunt for great fish & chips and chowder when I'm on the coast. This place belongs on any list of top tier fish shacks on the west coast. It's not fancy, but it's what I want and need. The portions are huge, the fish is super fresh and local, fries are thick and crispy, and they're not skimpy with the tartar sauce. The chowder? Wow. It was thick and hearty, flavorful, and stuffed full of meaty clams. I told woman that served me that they should put "Chowder Fries" on the menu because this chowder is so rich and thick that I dipped my fries in it. Awesome stuff. I won't even bother looking anywhere else for dining options next time I'm in Ft. Bragg. This is THE place!

Noyo River Grill
1011 S Main St, Fort BraggLove the new location! Much roomier with beautiful views of the harbor. The food was mediocre. Fish and chips the breading is wonderful, light & crispy, it just needed more seasoning. The ceviche needed heat and seasoning. Also, they chopped up larger shrimp instead of using the traditional small bay shrimp which made it difficult to get a good scoop on your tortilla chip. Service was great. We will definitely be back again.

Rollin’ Dough Baking Co
18180 Ocean Dr, Fort BraggI was heartbroken to learn that they don't sell bread anymore. It was SO FREAKING GOOD!!! But they still sell bagels and pastries and coffee drinks, and they're still top-notch folks. I suppose bread just wasn't a profitable part of their business. Too bad so sad because it was incredible! All you people that didn't buy don't know what you were missing and now you never will! Glad I got to try it when I did.Vegetarian options: Most of what they sell is vegetarian.Dietary restrictions: Baked goods are already baked, but some accommodations might be made.Parking: It's muddy, but there's plenty of space. Just use the drive-through.Kid-friendliness: Yes.Wheelchair accessibility: The parking lot is cratered, muddy, gravel.
