ARFF Feed and Pet Supply
46998 Pacific Woods Rd #1, GualalaJane, the owner, is fair and knowledgeable. Prices are lower than I expected and much research and thought goes into her product lines. We are so lucky to have a business owner that is local, thoughtful, and a pet owner and lover herself.

Gualala Veterinary Clinic
38600 CA-1, GualalaProfessional and Empathetic! I live in Fort Bragg and when one of my cats became ill on a weekend there was no emergency vet around to take Kahlua to. I did not realize how serious the situation was until Monday when he was leaving a trail of blood everywhere he went.
I began calling what local vets were open and none could see my baby for 2-3 months! One recommended Gualala Veterinary Clinic, 2 hours away down Highway 1 along the Pacific Coast or an ER vet in Santa Rosa, 4 hours away!
I called Gualala and the receptionist sounded very concerned about my cat’s condition and spoke with the doctor who said to get there as fast as possible. 2 hours later I arrived with my 2 year old kitty who was in a terrible state. He was checked in almost immediately and seen by an initial doctor who determined there was some kind of kidney issue.
Dr. Barkhurst consulted with me on her plans to address Kahlua’s dire situation. He had a kidney blockage which had gone on for an unknown amount of time. She recommended keeping him in her hospital overnight and possibly for 1-2 more days to see if the blockage could be corrected and the infection dealt with. I was given an estimate for his treatment and clearly told there was no guarantee he could be saved or that if he pulled through, the blockage would not return again at some point and he would not pull through again.
I was kept apprised of his progress each day by both the receptionist and Dr. Barkhurst. 3 days later I was able to pick up my kitty and after a 90 minute training session on giving Kahlua a daily IV, antibiotics and nausea meds, plus special hydration meals, we were headed back home. The most amazing fact was when I went to pay the bill it was considerably less than the estimate had been. As a senior with limited funds, this was an enormous help.
Kahlua seems to be recovering nicely and every day I have with him I am so thankful to the staff of the Gualala Veterinary Clinic!

Anchor Bay Thai Kitchen
35517 CA-1, GualalaI normally rate Thai restaurants based on Tom Yum soup. They didn’t offer this, but Tom Kha instead. My new favorite Thai soup! The heat was just right too-nose just start to sweat ?

Upper Crust Pizzeria
39331 CA-1 California 1, GualalaWe ordered 3 pizzas including a gluten-free one and they were inhaled by the teen, tween and adults. Thin crusts and flavourful. Wings were yummy too, but overpriced so definitely a once in a while treat. Will certainly come back!

Vue Kitchen
39300 S, 39300 CA-1, GualalaWe've been to Vue Kitchen for a couple special occasions while visiting Gualala for the weekend. The view at sunset is beautiful, and it's nice to take an afternoon walk down on the path below the backside of the restaurant. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. They don't take reservations for small groups but we've always been seated right away. We've enjoyed several of their starters, the short ribs, the ossobuco, and this past time, the catch of the day which was a seared scallop and orzo dish (garlic-ky and divine!). Everything we have had here has been perfectly cooked, well seasoned and beautifully plated.
