“Solid spot to take your beloved VW in for maintenance/servicing. Brian and Michael run a great shop here! I've taken Tiggy to Metric a few times to get various things taken care of including simple oil changes, to more complex work like a carbon cleaning (poor thing was suffocating from his valves full of carbon).
Prices are fair and competitive, compared to what local stealerships charge. Brian is a certified VW tech, so it's not like you're taking your car to some random tech.
The driveway is shared with a ton of other auto repair shops, and it does get tight in there - so always a good thing to schedule a morning appt so you can get in and out as quickly as possible!
Spacious waiting room if you don't mind the four or so giant resident spiders hanging out in the corner by the waiting room window...”

The Owner & team were professional, knowledgeable, and took the time to explain what my car needed before starting the work. They completed the alignment in a timely fashion and made sure everything was dialed in perfectly.

“They seem fair and competent. I saved some money vs the dealer. Didn’t try to upsell me. Told me what I could wait on and what was high priority. I dealt with Tim. Had me in and out in 1/2 day for a number of regular maintenance items. He also returned both of my phone calls both before and after I brought the car in. Nice to see given the crappy service you get most other places these days. They are supposed to report to carfax and hopefully that is actually the case. It is one main reason I went there but Tim wasn’t 100% sure. I figure that may be important for resale. Fingers crossed but I don’t think I can look it up without paying for a report.”

He and Milo went above and beyond to fix and tune it up, and Joey charged me less than other mechanics had quoted me. Milo even showed me how to do other maintenance work and answered bunch of Qs, all with patience and good nature. A rare find.. I would drive a distance to work with these guys again.”
“Bruce is always very helpful and knowledgeable. He makes doing small necessary repairs/maintenance on my 3rd generation Toyota 4runner much easier for me and more efficient. I've been to Ace Auto Parts several times over the years for things such as a car battery, windshield wipers, light bulbs, an air filter and other things like that. He always seems to have exactly the item that I need in sock and is more than happy to offer suggestions, tools, and friendly service to help you. He is more like a neighbor than a store operator, which is a quality that could help other businesses. If you need a part for your vehicle, Ace Auto Parts will probably have it and will do whatever is necessary to help you be successful with installation.

“I was traveling though OC on 73 coming from San Francisco heading to San Diego when my left from air strut would not hold air, I called Matt’s shop since I couldn’t find a dedicated air suspension shop open and close by that I could have my car towed to. He told me to bring in my Volkswagen cc to take a look, after some diagnosis, Matt and his team found that one of my air lines started to rest on my exhaust shield and melted. Most have been from all the dips, and potholes I couldn’t avoid in time lol. They went out of their way and promptly fixed the line, if I’m in the area again I would come back for any services/repairs!!!”
