“This is not luxury by any means but it's great for visiting family and friends. Convenient location. Twin beds means a double room. Some rooms have kitchens. It's a home away from home. The weekly rates are great, too!”

“You have an exceptional property as well as staff. Walking through the beautifully landscaped grounds was a visual delight! -- I happened to locate you via the internet, as I was searching for a hotel near a doctors’ office where I had an appointment. We lucked out! -- All the staff were friendly and welcoming. Logan gave us a warm welcome and great introduction to the features of our suite, plus interesting history of the hotel. He always greeted us warmly when our paths crossed on the grounds of the hotel. Angel served us dinner in the restaurant (which was excellent as was our breakfast and room service) was warm and welcoming and provided exceptional service.Safety: Located in a quiet residential dead-end streetFood & drinks: The food was exceptionally deliciousNoteworthy details: The property is stunningly beautiful with tropical plants and walking paths. The photographs of musicians and some celebrities which adorn the walls of the public areas are interesting and very fun!”

“Only complaint is that it gets really musty and it feels like they don't have circulatjon/hvac. It's a cool place to play music and listen to music though. Always sounds ”

“I'm so glad I decided to splurge a bit and stay here for our quick 2-night trip! The whole place has so much character. The front desk staff were lovely and even gave us a free room upgrade AND some chocolate covered strawberries with a bottle of Prosecco for me and my partner! The pool area was beautiful at night with all the lights in the trees. We didn't get a chance to try one of the restaurants, but they seemed popular! The location also can't be beat. You're right in the heart of it! There are so many spots you can easily walk to and there's a lot to see and do. Check out The Coffee Bean!I would love to stay here again. It's worth every penny!”

“A fantastically beautiful hotel just a few minutes' drive from the Universal Studios. A free shuttle takes you there. The hotel exudes the splendor of the 70s and 80s, at the time of the Hollywood stars. Stylishly classically but also modernly furnished, it enchants with its luxurious style. You feel comfortable throughout. This starts at check-in, where the staff is always friendly, helpful and courteous. Here the guest is treated with respect and you immediately notice that you should feel comfortable. The rooms are purpose-built and comfortably furnished. Impressive. Thank you”

“This place is in the best spot in Hollywood and is always filled with celebrities and parties. As an independent contractor, I got to work here once a week and I enjoyed my times hanging out, soaking up the atmosphere. I've collected a few photos I took of my time there. Every meal I've had here has been the best meal I've ever eaten. If you want to impress your girl for lunch some random day, take her here.Noteworthy details: Many celebrities stay at this hotel and I would often see them when I would be here once a week for work.”

“If I could give there beds and pillows a higher rating I would. I don't normally sleep well when going abroad however they did warn us on the signs In the room there maybe noise, I didn't hear a thing got such a good night sleep. Unlike most hotels this has its own fridge great for my dad which was a diabetic. There were 3 rooms we booked as 6 in total were booked it would of been nice if we had a room over looking the beautiful city instead of a car park. We weren't in the room that much but would of been nice. There was an issue with parking however that had been resolved as their system went down. Overall very clean hotel and has free glasses of wine tasting in the afternoon. Please check for times as may have changed. They also offer free coffee in the morning and snacks that are near the reception which is a nice touch.Overall would stay here again as West Hollywood has alot to offer nearby and if you are taking a car has its own valet parking at a charge. For those coming from the UK please bare in mind resort fees and parking fees. Resort was $30 dollars plus tax and valet parking was $60 plus tax. This wasn't included in my package holiday and is an extra. Just for those on a budget may come as a nasty surprise.Rooms: Good beds”

“Hotel location, service, cleanliness and overall service was excellent - no complaints. Just a few things - you will pay a resort fee of 28 dollars, but they give you a meal credit of 30 dollars per day ( I personally think both should not be there , and the resort fee should only be for folks who want it as only one is given per room). The restaurants in the hotel are outstanding - we used the cafe and the Preston's - great breakfast. Honestly , have breakfast in the hotel, rather than go somewhere else and paying more. The hotel breakfast as freshly made omelets, waffles, smoked salmon, lots of pastries as well as the regular breakfast items on the buffet - and they tasted great!”

“Loved this hotel, great amenities with including a Peloton bike. Great location, comp. breakfast, laundry facilities and clean rooms. Yes, older hotel but it was a quality fit out when done and so it’s just older. Rooms are big, bathrooms are great.”

“Clean and modern place. Rooms are clean and spacious. Plenty of parking and in a very good location. The only thing that made me give it a 4 out of 5 is the breakfast. It is below basic.”

“Nice comfortable hotel with clean, tidy rooms and helpful staff. The food is delicious, a little expensive, but it’s fresh and chemical-free. The pool is suitable for 5- or 4+, depending on who you want. You can relax here either alone or with your family. The atmosphere inside is comfortable and calm.”

“Food 3 stars, location 5. We have been here at the hotel several times for a variety of functions such as weddings and business meetings, but that was about 10 or more years ago. We recently stopped by to begin celebrating a special day with lunch at the Terrace and a walk about the hotel and take a peak at the new pool they're building. The hotel itself is very dramatic. We had the fish & chips and the shrimp ceviche as nothing else interested us other than the two Manhattans which were very good. We subbed truffled chips for a few dollars more. I was however surprised at the limited lunch menu as it was busy for lunch. All other hotel dining locations were closed till dinner. It's always worth the $15 parking fee with validation or $25 just to look around this historic hotel as nothing in the LA area can compare to it. Also a great weekend getaway.”

“Beautifully appointed modern hotel with comfortable beds, large rooms, and a fantastic location. Amazing view of downtown LA with art everywhere. Walkable to a few bars and restaurants but there are several good options on property.”

“I would say I would give this place 10 stars for its service. I specially would like to thank Taylor at the reception. This hotel has a lot of history, it is extremely beautiful and elegant. I couldn’t use any amenities since extremely busy but I saw it. They have 3 restaurants inside the hotels, all of them 5 stars service and food. I would definitely visit again and stay there.”

“One of the nicest & cleanest hotel in the area. Lobby decor left a feeling of old school grand hotels. They had free water & coffee in the lobby. Did I mention the coffee machine can make speciality coffee (like: cappuccino, latte or hot chocolate) & the water has some great flavors. Rooms were clean & had new furnitures. One of the few hotels who still have jacuzzi. It’d be great if they had a pool as well, but that’s not a deal breaker for me.They were going through renovation, but I didn’t mind much. I understand, at a point most of the establishments have to go through that, maybe that’s why it didn’t bother me much. Fortunately, we were out most of the day & missed the noise :)Parking was $15+tax, kinda hefty, but standard for this area. Parking entrance was locked at night, so I felt secured. Much better than parking on the street. They also had plenty of spots available, so I didn’t have to worry about finding one.Found a great deal on their website & took a chance. Am I glad that I did! Thanks to the front desk team for welcoming me with warm smiles & housekeeping team for making sure my stay went great!”

“An extremely interesting boutique hotel. The attention to detail and focus on creating a unique and luxurious atmosphere will satisfy travellers looking for an alternative to the cookie cutter modern "luxury" hotel. The staff are extremely attentive and friendly; the courtyard is remarkably relaxing and private; the rooms are a delight for the eyes; the beds are very comfortable; and the location is fantastic. Highly recommended for trips to Hollywood.Rooms: Each room has been lovingly curated as an artistic homage to golden and silver age Hollywood actors.Nearby activities: Just a few minutes' walk from all the attractions of HollywoodSafety: The hotel is on a quiet side street off Hollywood Boulevard. There are some street people around the area, but it is generally safe.Walkability: It is within walking distance of the bars and attractions of Hollywood BoulevardFood & drinks: Cute little bar!Noteworthy details: This hotel is extremely unique. Highly recommended for those of a fanciful mindset”

“This place takes West Hollywood to places it hasn't been in many years. Quiet and private with some of the best amenities in town. Most rooms feature floor to cieling windows with spectacular views of the Hollywood hills or the city. The staff treats you better than your own family. You can't go wrong here. Whatever you do, make sure you take a night to dine at the restaurant and see the stars to to your left and in the sky...Rooms: The rooms have floor to ceiling windows from another time. The views are 2nd to none in Weho.Safety: They have a pretty secure door here. So you won't find non hotel quests just loitering in the lobby stargazing.Food & drinks: The restaurant here is simply amazing! It makes leaving the property very hard.”

“Very nice stay. Clean rooms and friendly desk staff. View was just ok for a "mountain view" upgrade. Breakfast not included, but that's ok. Pool is outdoor with no hot tub. Also ok. Only mentioning to set expectations. Valet staff were attentive and helpful.”

“We stayed here for 3 nights as the last leg of our LA trip last summer (July 2023) after staying at Disney Grand California Hotel for few nights for our Disneyland trip.We booked thru Expedia and it came out to be approximately $293 USD/night which is not bad at all for a hotel that is centrally located for visiting Universal Hollywood (10 minutes Uber ride) , Getty Centre (20 mins Uber Ride), Hall of fame (10 mins) etc. walking distance to nearby eatery.Hotel is well maintained, 2 queen beds, ample of counter space, an outdoor swimming pool. Also, free breakfast daily with delicious pastry made by HomeBoy Industries. Checked in was quick and easy. 1 hour from LAX airport. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend others and likely return for our future LA trip.”

“Overall a nice hotel, but definitely some quirks. On the plus side, well maintained overall, given the age of the property. The staff was also very accommodating and friendly. Minus side, elevators were a little sketchy at times, functional things didn't always work well (like the faucets putting out too hot water but not all the time), and the fitness room is designated as 24 hours a day, but half of the room (the weight room area) is off limits from 9:00 p.m. to 9:00 a.m. (which says to me it's not 24 hours a day).Nearby activities: Just a short walk or shuttle bus ride to Universal Studios, which made the accommodations worth it.Walkability: You can walk to the Universal Studios, but it is a bit of a hike. I would not recommend it with little kids (unless you use strollers) or people that would have difficulty walking more than a mile or up a long flight of stairs.”

“Great service from the staff. Close to a lot of areas. Rooms could use some updates by someone who can leave repairs to wall, showers, etc. looking professional.”

“The hotel staff was friendly, especially Mary. The fresh cookies, coffee, and ice water were a nice touch. The breakfast was well arranged and the layout of the lobby was inviting upon arrival. Many of the guests I encountered were staying there to visit Universal Studios, but my visit was primarily for the proximity to the Burbank Airport, and even though the hotel did not have their regular shuttle service Sunday morning, they provided complimentary lyft service for their guests?. The workout area and pool area were clean and neatly thought out.Nearby activities: Universal StudiosSafety: The area feels safe.Walkability: I walked to a nearby cafe and gas staion.”
