“I recently moved from Dana Point and one of the many things I miss is this little store. I have to admit that when I first went in, it was because I was in a hurry and didn’t have time to drive to Lowe’s. But you know what, they have 95% of everything I needed. And if you need to get an oddball screw or nut they are brilliant at that. The people there are so nice. They would ask me why I didn’t ride my bike.

“10/10 Experience, staff we're all very friendly and helpful! Specifically Marty, super knowledgeable and friendly! I went in looking for some screws for an automotive application. I was worried Marty would tell me to go to O'Riley's or Autozone, which is what the lazy people at Home Depot or Lowe's tell me. Instead, Marty helped me find the exact screws and washers I needed in a non-corrosive metal finish as he noticed the OEM's screws finish I had brought with me. Safe to say, I will avoid home depot and lowes! Thank you Marty!”

“I enjoy the convenience of going to this Home Depot based on the location, but if there is a Home Depot in the local area that will be out of stock of an item, Costa Mesa will be the first to be out of stock. Also, the buy more save more discounts online are not in the store, so it's better to shop online than in the store. I don't know of another retailer that competes so heavily against their Rick and mortar employee run stores.
On the plus side, the check-out associates are generally courteous and quick at moving people through lines. The floor staff in each department are a bit thinned out and often busy with several other people vying for their attention.”
“The rental service is amazing. I got the most help I could need from Jersey. The knowledge that was given to me and how clean the vehicle was, was amazing. It was fast, smooth and easily the best service I could have ever wanted. The return was just as amazing! Jersey was able to explain everything there is needed to know. Her ability to work with multiple customers AND get you in and out of their shop was unlike any other store I've ever been too. She's friendly and above all a hard worker! She made sure that the truck I was getting, was ready to go and that it was in the best shape before sending it out. I recommend using this Home Depot rental service for your needs that are within there area to help. More importantly if you want the most information on tools there talk to her. This store has improved greatly since hiring someone like her and I will definitely return if I am ever in need of a vehicle.”

“Best hardware store I’ve been to in years.
It’s a little like Doctor Who’s police box, it seems much bigger on the inside and definitely holds more than you think it could.
There are staff who are very knowledgeable and will make sure you get the right thing/part for the job.
It is the opposite of the “big box” stores which have huge aisles and square footage and yet often don’t seem to have what you need in stock.
Here, despite the much smaller size, I have always found the odd light bulb, bit of plumbing, etc. that I needed with the help of the staff.
Do yourself a favor, next time unless you need lumber or something try this store first before driving out to a big box chain store. You will probably be glad you did.
The only downside is that parking is somewhat limited, but know that there are 4 or 5 additional store parking spots in the back.”
