They are open 6 days a week and have prolonged hours every last Friday of the month. Make sure to visit them if you are in Long Beach! “The best collective in Southern California for mid century furniture, decor and lighting. Very open/airy and clean. Good prices and they’ll help you load. You can also request to hold items after purchase until your shipper picks up. This is a biased review because I’m a vendor here, but look around. The prices are better than Santa Monica or Pasadena, and it’s subjectively a better shopping experience.”

“Old Gold is my new favorite vintage store in the south bay/harbor cities area. It is unmatched- highly curated, full of light, and absolutely beautiful down to the tiniest of details. The owner Bridgette is chic and super down to earth. She has an amazing eye and really knows how to pick the most special pieces, setting her store apart from an eclectic mix of stores that also carry vintage clothing- no easy feat!The attention to detail makes for such a pleasant shopping experience- I especially enjoyed a small section of the store where lace collars and 1940's / various era purses and clutches were displayed sweetly on the wall. In addition to clothes they carry jewelry and other trinkets/ housewares. There was a beautiful large pink vase I can't stop thinking about! I took my close friend from NYC who works in the fashion industry along with me and she was also very impressed and purchased several things- added some photos of our haul! Bridgette told us that the store has held/ will hold pop ups and events in the future. I will definitely be a regular here!”

“great black-owned cultural hotspot where you can bring home both a rare book and a vintage tee from the same trip. owned by long beach natives with a keen eye for curation and community, you'll feel justified in shopping with play nice lbc. they also offer screenprinting services upon request (for the more entrepreneurially inclined among us), but for now, i'm satisfied with supporting a young business thru direct sales. parking is a slight challenge depending on the day, but you'll be glad you stopped by once you secure a spot!”

“I stumbled upon this place whilst looking to sell some “nicer” clothes of mine. The store itself is nestled in a somewhat busy shopping center, but offers plenty of parking and walk ability. Its layout was open concept, inviting, and visibly displayed merchandise. As for the the selling process itself, I have mixed emotions. The kind young lady who accepted my items clearly outlined that the store only accepts newer fashion as well as name brands. No problem, as their website clearly defines this. Now; I took an alo coat, UGG flats, Hollister jeans/top, and a Von Dutch hat. Everything was pretty much brand new or only worn once. And although I was informed about the 30% rule, I’m a bit confused as to how that was decided? Upon receiving a message that my buy was complete, I returned and was only told the amount that I was to receive. The nice worker gave me $34 for my items. Concerned as to where the rest of my items were, I asked for my tote bag (that carried my items) back. She just pointed to a bench right by the entrance and said I could look for my items there. Shockingly, my tote was completely empty! I do think that I was lowballed as $34 did not reflect the original price of my items nor 30% of their new “store value”. Therefore, I don’t know if I would want to sell here again. The process itself was quick, easy to sign up, and the customer service was good. I just wish that they were a bit more transparent about the payback situation. With my items being so close to the door, of course I also wondered if someone could’ve easily taken them? I wish they kept a closer eye on people’s bags and held them behind the register or something. Regardless, the store was beautifully organized and offered lots of “trendy” pieces. I would definitely recommend this location if you are searching for eclectic modern pieces to add to your wardrobe for a slightly cheaper price than retail. I appreciate its sustainability and ambience for sure! However, if you are looking to sell perhaps you will have better luck with brands such as Brandy Melville, BAGGU, etc. Sorry for my lengthy post, but I do want to be thorough for anyone who would like to come here.”

“Came here to sell for the first time and the experience was wonderful. I dropped off a bag full of clothes, got a receipt and the associate told me how long the wait would be to assest my clothing. Told me how many other customers were ahead of me and a rough time frame of about two hours. I got call about two hours later that my sell was complete. The buyer/associate, a nice young gentleman, took nearly everything and left here with some extra bucks. Came back a second time and same experience but left with more bucks than last time. The store buys the latest trendy clothing and vintage wears. They also sell/buy luxury brands like Gucci/LV/etc. It's a well stocked store with clothing for every occasion or trend. From street wear to high couture, they have it all. All the associates are extremely nice and helpful. Props to management, it's a well run store.”
