Helped me get a perfect longboard setup, even though the boards come as complete sets, he let me swap out some wheels and bearings and the prices were super reasonable. Also, if you're looking for the Baker Tim Robinson board, they have a few of the cosmic gumbo and the hotdog one, as of yesterday-just gotta ask about them!

(Just a note this is an old review so idk about the Baker boards, but still a fantastic shop!)”

“Highly recommend this store and a particular sales associate (younger man of color) who encouraged my mom to order Hokas a half size up and wide. My mom had previously bought a 6 and was adamant that she keep that size, but he wouldn’t relent. I think he joked that he wouldn’t sell her the size 6, and she was not led astray. She was able to walk 22k steps without any foot discomfort and agreed the 6.5 was even better than the 6. Bless this man who not only provides great service AND great knowledge and judgement! My daughter is being dancing since she was 2y and for several years we're having trouble finding the perfect shoes. “I've already done a review of the Rodd n Gunn store at Manawa Bay, Auckland airport, where the exemplary experience enabled by the staff (Medi and Chaminda) there floored me. It was a continuation of a similar experience at their Tawa store in Wellington with the staff member Rahul being very helpful and courteous.

And now moving across the Pacific to California. I bought (quite a) few pieces for myself and as gifts in New Zealand, before making the hop to.San Francisco. One of them was a gift for someone in the US, and the size turned out to be wrong. I had the receipt, and armed with that I went to this store. I was half expecting it to be a problem, because of it being a different country, different inventory codes, different pricing, etc.
And yet, the manager (?) of the store - Anthony (spelling?) assured me that he'd do all he can after checking options. And he did. He got the size swapped out! I was delighted and relieved - after all, these garments don't come cheap.

And not only that, he went on to guide me about some other product lines very helpfully, informed me of the upcoming 4th of July offers and gave me the option to choose garments which I could pick up at the offer prices when they would go live.

Unbelievable, consistent service quality across countries. Are they all sent to the same training school or something?

“This is my favorite place to shop. This location is clean, organized, and well-maintained. The lady in the fitting room was so kind! She helped me find the last shirt in my size that I really wanted. I bought that item and a few others for a work trip, plus a Yoga jumpsuit for casual wear. They also carry Curl Smith hair products, which are my favorite.”

“Google maps said Open but when I arrived the sign said New Hours Closed Mondays except by appointment. Staff was there doing administrative work so they invited me in anyway. However they don’t stock shoes like a regular shoe store but measure your feet first for a fee, which can be applied to a purchase. Plus they don’t do returns so that is a little concerning. I was short on time so just tried on a similar sandal of the brand I’d seen advertised that they happened to have my size for and they were comfortable! (Orthofeet) The staff member seemed VERY knowledgeable, experienced and certified. If you have a specialized fit need, especially for diabetes (which I don’t have) definitely give them a try. The business is family and locally owned, not a chain.”

“This was fun. Blondie and I stopped by to just look around. I'm not in a position to shop here, except for something special perhaps. On the first floor is the cologne/perfume area, and I looked for a Dolce & Gabbana area, which they don't have. When I asked someone, I got attention from three people who were eager for me to try some exclusive brand that NM carries. We started talking about cologne scents like others discuss wine, which was new for me. Do I like citrus, or something a bit astringent? I didn't even know how to answer, but they had plenty of options for me to try. They handed me a glass of champagne, and even offered a second, which I declined. I took a look at the third floor restaurant and bar, because I was more likely to eat there than shop much elsewhere in the store. The menu looked casual impressive. Again, I really enjoy looking around a NM, regardless of whether I get anything.”
