“I can't believe how great this place is! The comic trove is big and well curated, the games are great and really pristine and there are tables to hang out at. The staff is happy and helpful. A beer license would be fun, but there is a place around the block anyway. It's too good for this world.”

“Amazing local store with everything you could think of to get started/keep going with your hobby. Prices on par if not better than the big retailers for kits, lower for some items like sprays. They allow you to place items on hold which I did right after my first visit! Will recommend to anyone getting into building kits”
“Lots of options at the museum store. They have expensive detailed models made for collectors, to cheap toy cars for less than 10$ each. They also have some apparel, decals, books, etc. All related to automobiles. There were some things that were priced up more than what they were worth, if you look up some things they’re selling online you’ll find them to be cheaper there. But you know, if you buy here you’re supporting the museum, so… Unfortunately I didn’t find anything that caught my eye but still an interesting collection. Overall, 4/5.”

“We have purchased many items for our annual toy drive for the past several years. Great quality and selection at very reasonable prices! Most stores cater to kids up to 8 or 9. Tom 's has items tweens and teens would enjoy!”
“This is a really cool gift shop with tons of interesting and unique books on art, queer culture, and the history of Los Angeles. They also sell tons of blind boxes (including Sonny angels), socks, candy, gift cards, and different stationery options.”
“The employees are courteous and knowledgeable. The wide-selection of candy is vast. You have new candy and nostalgic candy. I spend hours in the store making the perfect decisions, but I wish I could take it all.”

You can find here small blind boxes, some Pokemon toys, gundam sets and a lot of different figures.
But I don't think this store will be interesting for people who loves just cute stuff. You will not find here bags, accessories or cute stationary.”

“HYA is a gem in the West Adams neighborhood of L.A. The boutique shop offers a variety of home goods, kitchen supplies (utensils, gadgets, glassware, etc.) games (backgammon, PickUpSticks) books, and more. I visited in mid-December and there were lots of great gift ideas. Prices are reasonable and the staff I interacted with (1 of which was the owner) were very friendly, welcoming and enthusiastic and passionate about HYA. Check out my pics for some great seasonal gift ideas but so many things would make a great gift for any occasion. Also of note is the thoughtful & selection process used to determine what products are available for purchase here. Research ensuring fair-trade and sustainable sourcing, as well as, offerings from underrepresented or marginalized artisans. Also, checkout the back pantry featuring small batch homemade jams!”
“My son picked out his birthday present here, and it quickly became his favorite toy. When it broke within a week and I brought it back to the store the owner replaced it without even asking for a receipt because she remembered my son from the week prior. She was knowledgeable about the toy as well. This is a shop to return to again and again. I’d also note that they have great clothes and also sold us our son’s favorite shirt.”

“I have ordered a few toys from ebay from this store. My kiddo loves the mario kart hotwheels and collecting them. It's hard to find some of the specific ones, this store seems to have those like Rosalina, different colored yoshi etc. One time they shipped it within an hour of placing the order and we received it next day as we live a bit close by. Within 24 hours! Absolutely loved it. Very efficient store!”
