Jack's Restaurant & Bar
1029 Newpark Mall Rd, NewarkOur server Aaron was awesome he spoke very clear. He was on point, my water glass and coffee glass was always filled before it was empty. Aaron was very pleasant and gave us some very good recomandations. My wife had the best fish and chips of her life. My speghetti was amazing. Aaron was fast and I can say he was very professional. Because of Aaron and the good food I will come back and be a long term customer.

My Cafe
5475 Thornton Ave, NewarkEven when NOT busy (Fri 10:30a), great atmosphere, friendly staff, prompt and efficient service and food was quite good.
We ordered banana pancakes (2 very large) - fluffy but also mushy. They sat on the warming counter for over 7 min, waiting for the rest of order. Nephew ordered double cheese omelet w/ hashbrowns (good, filling, nothing really outstanding) and I ordered chicken pesto sandwich. This was on separate menu of New & Special items. Was also the surprise hit of our meal - took longest to prepare, savory, flavorful, thick chicken patty/fingers. I think they were all white meat and not dry at all, actually juicy, not over-breaded, crisp bacon, great crust and more than could finish at the time, along with hashbrowns.
Definitely worth the drive. Would return for another meal. Thanks for a very good satisfying meal!

Tea Top 台灣第一味
39269 Cedar Blvd #5007, Newarkthis tea on TOP guys. i love the passion fruit green tea medley, that is the only thing i order from this place. 50% sugar no ice can't have it any other way. i can taste the tea so clearly that my neurons start jiggling. the boba is perfectly qq - definitely on the firmer side but also just the right amount of softness. service is always great! if you buy like 10 drinks and have it stamped on the drink card they give out, you get a free drink. they have a lot of deals that way. if you want something non caffeinated i would get the lemon aiyu, 75-100% sweetness recommended because it gets pretty sour. basically tastes like a better lemonade!

OK Noodle
190 Ranch Drive, MilpitasDecent beef noodle soup at this Chinese restaurant, specializing in northwestern Chinese cuisine. Surprisingly large menu. Flavorful soup, good noodle texture, and tender meat. However, the stir-fried veggies were a bit under seasoned. Efficient service. Large free parking lot.

O' Sushi Newark
34940 Newark Blvd, NewarkDelicious food with decent prices. My go-to for Japanese food when I’m in the area. Parking can be limited sometimes. They could more clearly label vegetarian and vegan/vegan option available dishes. Updated from previous review on 2026-02-11

O'Sullivan's Sports Pub - Full Bar, an Irish Kitchen, 27 Draft Beers, Sports & Entertainment
5660 Thornton Ave, NewarkIt's a sports bar... And I'm not sure about other nights, but there was definitely nothing Irish about the atmosphere. The DJ was enjoyable and the food and drinks were good.

Kakushi Izakaya
39261 Cedar Blvd, NewarkKakushi is solid. The place is small, vibes are super chill. I appreciate that they're open late. They have become my go-to for late night sushi. I have enjoyed everything I've ordered, including the spicy miso ramen. This stood out to me because it actually had a kick to it. The broth had depth and great flavor. I've ordered the kakushi roll and I like it, but there's a tad too much sauce for my liking. Tekka maki is standard. The Kaisen Don was good. I like the way the rice is seasoned paired with the toppings. Generally, if I see this on the menu somewhere I try it. It's on point with the others I've tried.

Bistro 880
39900 Balentine Dr, NewarkA great place to bring my clients when I'm in Fremont. Lunch is generally pretty quiet and the food never disappoints.
I had the Fish and Chips for the first time and it was really good. The chef loaded me up on fries which was nice.
Really solid place for relaxed business meetings in an area with a lot of options. 5/5

Newbark Dog Park
35501 Cedar Blvd, NewarkIt's a nice park, but some pet owners "Don't" clean up after their pet and there are a lot of people who leave their dogs off leash .. They disrespect their city park rules.
