Pet Food Express
3910 Middlefield Rd, Palo AltoGood variety of pet foods, treats and supplies. They also have a pet bathing area where you can bathe your dog (complete with shampoo and blow dryer), although it's a little pricey (~$18, although buy 3 & get one free).

Peaceful Pathways
2625 Middlefield Rd Ste 290, Palo AltoWhen I first rescued my dog, Bella, and took her to the vet for the first time, she trembled. She never stopped being terrified of the vet. I knew I wanted to euthanize her at home, if possible, and I'm so glad this service existed. She was relaxed and peaceful.
This service requires a lot of emotional labor and endurance, and I am so grateful for it.

Animal Hospital of Palo Alto
4111 El Camino Real, Palo AltoThis is the best vet clinic, the doctor sees the dog and already knows. Such attentive staff, comprehensive service, and just so knowledgeable to help your pet. And our pet has been delicate all her 11 years and seen several doctors and they always have answers. Really just quality care.

4073 El Camino Real, Palo AltoI had a great experience at this location. The staff are very helpful and friendly. I had several questions for the vet regarding my dog's eye condition and he was able to answer them all. I definitely felt they had my pets best interest in mind.

Ada's Cafe
3700 Middlefield Rd, Palo AltoWe went to JLS Middle School for a soccer tournament, and the kids were hungry, so we stopped by Ada’s Café. The place was very clean and well-organized, and the cashier was polite. The kids ordered hot chocolate, lemonade and quiche, and I got a croissant. The service was excellent, and the ambiance was warm and welcoming. They have a very cute atmosphere. The prices were reasonable.

World Wrapps
180 Stanford Shopping Center Unit 240-C, Palo AltoThis is my wife and I's go to spot whenever we are at the mall. We may not shop for anything but will always get the bowls at World Wrapps. Love that they can substitute tofu in any of the bowls - makes it great for vegetarians as well. The sauces add a lot of flavor so the pro tip is to get that on the side with the Ube Horchata :)

State of Mind Slice House
3850 El Camino Real, Palo Alto11/8/25: vegan marguerita pizza slices w cashew cheese! It’s the only vegan slice offered, but it’s good. They didn’t have any available when I ordered so they made a fresh pie, which took around 20 minutes. You can sub cashew cheese on any of their whole pies. $6/ per slice before tax and tip.

Vino Locale
431 Kipling St, Palo AltoA true jewel hidden slightly away from the main University avenue. Came here with friends and enjoyed the food, the service and the atmosphere. I didn't realize that they have to close a bit early so I recommend to get there earlier.
The best part is a unique mix of flavors, we picked most of the available tapas options and loved them all.
Service is exceptional. Just being able to have a small talk with our server added a human touch to the whole experience.
Highly recommend Vino Locale for either romantic, business, or casual dining.

Anatolian Kitchen
340 California Ave, Palo AltoOur second visit in the past 2 weeks - returned for birthday celebratiuon since the food was outstanding last time. Food still very good, but this time we did not get to really order ourselves, given the over-helpful staff and the group dynamic. Still had a wonderful time outside with our 2 year old and a bunch of pups, the only slight ding is the staff is almost TOO helpful, sometimes overriding my wishes :) Still highly recommended.

Daigo
2363 Birch St #B, Palo AltoHamachi shots were insane. The tofu was some of the best I’ve ever had, super soft and fried just a bit for the perfect thin, crispy texture. The sauce for the tofu was also so yum!!! Crab was pretty good, though both the crab and tofu got soggy quickly due to the sauce. The o toro nigiri was honestly the best thing from this dinner. SO. TENDER. Salmon toro and Ebodai (butter fish) were also tender, but the o toro was unmatched. Honestly could’ve passed on the yellowtail maki, it was very rice-y but still good. Yuzu cheesecake was a great way to end this magical meal. We are moved.
