Pet Care

Peninsula Pet Hospital: Cortesi Charles DVM
548 Glenwood Ave, Menlo ParkI just moved from the South Bay and Peninsula was recommended. I needed to get in quickly for rabies and vaccinations for my pup. All went well, when I got there I was greeted by staff. It was busy, and I waited a tad longer. But it didn't matter, I really liked Dr. Ulla. She was personable. She got down on her knees to greet my dog who is 46 pounds. She reassured my pup and soon she was licking the vet! So big yay. I am thrilled to have found a great vet in Menlo Park!

Pet Sitting & Training

Transcontinental Pet Movers LLC
3723 Haven Ave #101, Menlo ParkTimothy and his team were very professional and care for animals, they answered all of my questions on the phone and took time to explain the process. They were able to provide a cross country dog transport on short notice. The driver was clearly very experienced with dogs and took time at the pickup to get him comfortable with her which I really appreciated. The team is great at communicating throughout the trip and send regular updates I felt very relieved knowing the dog was in safe hands and would recommend them.

They are great with him and he always comes back home tired. The staff is awesome, happy to switch to overnight stay if we need last minute and even help with diet restrictions when it comes to treats. They are all very friendly and love the pets that come to visit for the day or stay for boarding.

Pet-Friendly Restaurants

Mardini's Deli Cafe
408 Willow Rd, Menlo ParkTotal hidden gem! This place has some of the best lamb & beef gyros I’ve ever tried. Service was great, and the dining area was nice and clean. Absolutely recommend,

La Stanza Cucina Italiana
651 Oak Grove Ave Suite H, Menlo ParkThe chicken a la carte is quite literally one of the best I’ve ever had. It pains me to say that I’ll likely never be able to cook chicken as perfectly as they did. It is only $11.99 as of Mar-2026, but was insanely moist and tender, perfect temp, perfect flaky white strands. Just unbelievably made chicken.
Of course their pasta is amazing, especially their angel hair pomodoro. But wow, that chicken is second to none. I’m only bothered by this because I know I will never be able to duplicate this quality at home.

Cafe Zoe & Neighborhood Pizza Guy
1929 Menalto Ave, Menlo ParkI grew up in Jersey and have been a snob when it come to pizza and had not found east coast level pizza on the west coast living here for the last 20+ years. Well today I found it!! I was so sad I was meeting a friend for lunch later so couldn’t just gorge on this pizza today (had just come in for a coffee). Only thing I would change is the crispiness of the crust, it didn’t pass the hold test but we did just get a slice rewarmed. I’d like to see what happens with a whole fresh pie. I don’t even care, it was delicious!! I will be back folks and will bring the gang (aka my kids) who also spent their summers in NJ/NY and missed the pizza 11 months of the year. Latte was pretty good as well.

1189 Willow Rd, Menlo ParkGreat food and location. Parking can be tricky. There are about 4 tables available for you to sit, I usually order my food to go anyways.

Menlo BBQ
555 Willow Rd, Menlo ParkFood was tasty and with a good portion size. It came with a side salad that had a nice, but not overpowering dressing. Staff was friendly. Price was a little more than I would have liked for lunch but I felt that the food quality was high.

Folks there were all super nice.

Sand Hill Sundeck
3000 Sand Hill Rd, Menlo ParkFood was delicious -- salads are gigantic! Pizza dough and cheesiness was a delight. Three of us split pizza and cobb salad and it was more than enough, surprisingly. I'd appreciate some more options closer to $15 for lunch. The lady server kinda spoiled our experience, but another guy seemed great.

Bob’s Country Corner
3207 Alameda de las Pulgas, Menlo Park9.1/10 tri tip sandwich
For a lil store selling Boars Head sandwiches, this place is pretty solid. The tri tip sandwich smacks and for $16 it's priced just about right. Other sandwiches are priced lower depending on what you get
Whenever I go I always get everything in it like peppers, tomatoes, pickles, pepperchini, etc. Everything is pretty fresh
If you go here for lunch dont go at standard lunch times like 11-12 otherwise you might be waiting in line because it's a popular spot.
I would absolutely recommend coming here and trying a sandwich

Lotus Restaurant
625 Oak Grove Ave Unit B, Menlo ParkCame back and tried the duck over rice, might be the best item on the menu -- can't remember the last time I got duck this good in the area. Beijing beef was also delicious, this place is super consistent and still so underrated. Thai tea was also solid, big fan can't recommend Lotus enough!

Jeffrey's Hamburgers
888 El Camino Real, Menlo ParkWhen "Hamburgers" is in the name of a restaurant, I expect that the burgers are going to be star of the show. But it turned out that I kept reaching for the garlic fries more. The Garlic fries were topped with freshly chopped garlic tossed with parmesan cheese. But the thing that made this garlic stand out is that they didn't bother frying it up in oil. They left it raw which made the garlic super potent and strong. We loved it with their crisp on the outside soft on the inside fries. Can we also have a moment for the Oreo Milkshake? It was just the right amount of liquid--- not super dense that you needed to have an extra spoon on the side to eat it. It was sip- able from the beginning with lots of Oreos blended in. As for the burger, we had a Patty melt served on light rye bread with melted swiss cheese and grilled onions. The boyfriend wanted an extra patty but then regretted it after he said it really only needed one. Boys will be boys. While this was good, there was nothing that really made me pick this over the garlic fries. As for me: I had the Hamburger Bowl which was a Burger Patty over Spring Mix Greens Tossed in Lemon Vinaigrette with Carrots, Cucumbers, Tomato and Red Onion topped with Crispy Onion Strings. I appreciated the salad option and the lemon vinaigrette was just right- it didn't drown the salad in dressing like I've had happen in the past. The patty added in for protein was great and made this salad more of a treat than anything else. Add in the crispy onion rings and these gave it a nice crunch. I already mentioned the Oreo Milkshake and like the sweet lover I am, this just hit the spot.

Saint Frank Coffee
1018 Alma St, Menlo ParkFantastic coffee right across Menlo Park Caltrain station. Opens at 7am and you already see a long line. Did not try pastries as it comes from outside. Tried both cappuccino and latte at different times and it is great. Will definitely visit again. It is outside seating only.

Cook's Seafood
751 El Camino Real, Menlo ParkThe BEST fish n chips so far in West coast. Didn’t expect such a large chunk of fish, so I ordered three pieces and you don’t have to do the same at all. Cod is tight, tender, real fresh real good. And using Heinz malt vinegar could be a great addition to all of these. Can’t help to make a review in the middle of my meal, so good! Made my day!
