However, they have a nice keurig machine and water with comfy seating so the wait doesn’t feel too bad. When we did see Dr. Meera, she was funny, kind, and compassionate. She gave us good assessment and didn’t try to scare us but also prepared us for potential possibilities. Everyone was kind and friendly and for an emergency visit, it wasn’t as expensive as I expected.

350 Franklin Street, Mountain ViewDr Lina is amazing. She is extremely empathetic and very skilled Vet and great at what she does. Also she answers all your questions and a great conversationIist. With deep sadness our 15 1/2 year warrior dog passed recently, but her accupuncture did wonders on getting him better, his mobility improved and started to slowly walk without a sling and on leesh. If he was younger and we tried alternate treatments earlier maybe the outcome would have been different, that being said our lovely angel lived a full life and we are eternally blessed. For getting him better and him passing on a good day rather than a bad day, we are extremely thankful and grateful to Dr. Lina . If your dog has mobility and neurological issues, alternate treatments as additional modalities do work such as accupuncture as well as reducing pain. I was a sceptic at first but I know this first hand to be true. I am not saying get rid of your Primary vet, we did not but the addition of accupuncture definitely helps noticebly. For a vet who preforms accupuncture she is definitely the one to go to. Thank you Dr. Lina, I will now schedule an acupuncturist for myself as you recommended. Wish you the best in 2024 and on your runs.

He teaches *us* how to train our dog rather than focusing on directly training our dog himself, which is 100x more effective because we're with our pup every day, and Dan isn't (though we wish he could be!). Dan is incredibly effective, supportive, knowledgeable, and generous. We referred him to a friend who also only had glowingly positive things to say. Thank you Dan!!!! So glad to be working with you.

Udon Mugizo Mountain View
180 Castro Street, Mountain ViewWe have always walked past this restaurant and watched it stay busy, especially since it arrived on Castro Street quite a while back. This time, I used the online Yelp waitlist option and was able to get in much quicker. We were offered bar seats right away, but since we wanted a regular table, we waited just another five to six minutes, which was not bad at all.
The ambiance is warm and welcoming, and every time someone enters, the servers warmly greet them. Since it was our first time, the server took the time to explain the menu, which made ordering a breeze. Plus, the presentation of the food deserves a solid five out of five!
Here is what we ordered:
Tonkotsu Udon Deluxe (Large, Medium Spicy): The portion size is huge, and a regular size should easily suffice since I could not even finish the large. The pork kakuni (braised pork belly) was incredibly soft, tender, and packed with flavor, and the broth was really good. This deluxe version comes with everything in the regular Tonkotsu Udon plus pork belly: a rich pork and fish broth, three pieces of premium chashu, shrimp tempura (which I asked for on the side), a seasoned boiled egg, garlic, green onions, boiled spinach, fish powder, and tempura bits.
Beef Sukiyaki Nabeyaki Udon (Regular, Mild): This includes sweet and tender beef, a poached egg, maitake mushrooms, onions, green onions, fish cake, and tempura bits. We actually felt the broth on this one was even better than the Tonkotsu. The beef was flavorful and an absolute delight to eat.
Vegetable Tempura (A La Carte): Comes with sweet potato, eggplant, pumpkin, corn, maitake mushrooms, and broccoli. The absolute standout was the pumpkin because it was so sweet and tender. It comes with a lower-sodium, light soy sauce that makes dipping the tempura effortless and light.
Hot Ginger Orange Sake: A lovely drink made with dried ginger, dried orange, and rosemary. The aroma of orange and rosemary was very calming, and we thoroughly enjoyed it.
Extras: They also provide a side of spice powder if you want to dial up the heat on your soup.
Practical Details:
Parking & Waitlist: Visiting on a Saturday means it gets very busy, and you will need to find parking before turning onto Castro Street. Joining the online waitlist ahead of time is definitely the way to go to make getting in smoother.
Overall, it is a fantastic spot with wonderful service and incredible udon. We will gladly return!

The service was excellent and beyond what was expected. They have a nice outdoor patio for the breeze lovers and the cute woven chairs inside makes it feels like my aunts house in the summertime. We ordered the Chicken and Waffles (9/10, only since I wish there was more chicken) and the Birria Chilaquiles w/ green sauce (10/10). The food took a while to come out (about 20-25 mins) but was well worth the wait once we tried it. Don’t miss out on their lattes and chai either! Thank you Casa Mia for a lovely, tasty brunch.
