Toulouse Vineyards & Winery
8001 CA-128, PhiloIf you are driving up to Mendocino or anywhere remotely close to this winery, it is a must go. The view is breathtaking and spectacular, and then wine is some of the best Pinot noir you'll ever have. Also, the staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming. This has been a family favorite and a MUST since we discovered it.

Jumbo's Win Win - Online Orders Available!
8651 CA-128, PhiloEverything was delightful - easy to find, huge parking lot, absolutely stellar service, charming decor, cute and functional bathroom, and terrific food. I enjoyed a half-order chopped salad, minus the meat. Pickle beer was too interesting to resist, glad I tried it. Looking forward to returning!

Navarro Vineyards & Winery
5601 CA-128, PhiloWe have been Navarro Wine Club members since the 1990s and visiting the Navarro tasting room and vineyards in the Anderson Valley is always a treat. The staff pouring are supremely knowledgeable and enthusiastic about sharing that knowledge about the wines. During our very first visit back then, I told the server -who unbeknownst to me was the owner Ted Bennett himself- I wasn't a fan of Sauvignon Blanc (I was a strict Chardonnay drinker then). Ted proceeded to educate me on this "herby," lemongrass wine with tropical notes of pineapple. That day, it became my absolute favorite white wine that I still adore this very day. We always take a picnic lunch when we visit and love sitting on the covered deck overlooking one of the vineyards while enjoying a bottle of award-winning wine. They also have a deli case inside with a delicious smorgasbord box or selection of cheeses from nearby Pennyroyal Farm if you come unprepared.

Brashley Vineyards Tasting Room and Winery
7000 CA-128, PhiloI rolled in with friends for a Harvest Hosts overnight and met Sean inside the tasting room; he walked us out and pointed to several places we could set up. As in my photos, the field is wide open with shaded edges under big oaks and views of the Mendocino hills along Highway 128. Plenty of space to spread out without crowding other rigs. I was able to run the generator for AC during the warm afternoon, and once the sun dipped the air cooled off nicely, so the AC—and the generator—got a break.
Inside, the tasting felt easy and unhurried. Sean poured a thoughtful lineup that fits the area—Anderson Valley is tucked between the redwoods and the coast and leans toward cooler-climate styles. The surprise for me was their Dry Riesling; it’s the first dry Riesling I’ve genuinely liked, enough that I took home three bottles while my friends grabbed a case. The fresh-baked sourdough he handed us (that big round loaf in the photo) was crackly, and absolutely dangerous with butter.
Fair note for RVers: this is true dry camping—no power or water—so come self-sufficient and expect a basic field, not hookups. The afternoon heat can nudge you to run the generator, but evenings settle into that quiet country cool that makes sleeping easy.
I’d happily return for the relaxed vibe, welcoming staff, and simple, spacious overnight. Great fit for self-contained RV travelers who enjoy low-key tastings.

Husch Vineyards & Winery
4400 CA-128, PhiloWe visited Husch while vacationing in nearby Mendocino. Picked Husch because of their pinot and cab focus, but enjoyed all of the wines we tasted. You will be in luck if Steven is in the tasting room! So much knowledge to impart about the growing regions, wines, winemakers, history of Husch - it was really a treat to hear it all, which of course lead us to join the wine club. Can’t wait for our first shipment!

Goldeneye
9200 CA-128, PhiloThis winery is truly a must-do in the Anderson Valley! The property is stunning, and is a feast in and of itself. It’s lush with aromatic flowers, apple trees, and of course views of the vines across rolling hills. Taylor was so knowledgeable, personable and and generous with her presence. She was there when I needed her, and gave space to enjoy in between. Make this stop a priority on your next Mendo/Anderson Valley/Norcal trip!

Greenwood Ridge Vineyards
5501 CA-128, PhiloThis is a very relaxed winery. We really enjoyed our wine guides, Angel and Rainbow. We loved the experience and wines so much that we attempted to change our travel plans to stay the night. The guides did their best to help us find lodging nearby. The wines in the valley tend to be lighter— perfect for summer sipping. We particularly enjoyed the the Zin and were delightfully surprised by the rose of Pinot.
Now that we have discovered the Alexander Valley and the lovely wines at Geeenwood, we will definitely book lodging in the Valley and plan a trip for several days.
